END-TIME ILLUSION Drop New Album “Anamnesis Genesis”, Release Lyric Video for Single ‘Lure of the Abyss’

New England’s enduring tech metal pioneers, END-TIME ILLUSION, proudly unveil their highly anticipated 4th full-length album, Anamnesis Genesis, released on September 29, 2023. This monumental release is now available worldwide in both digital formats and hard copy media, thanks to the collaboration between Combat Records and Mindsnap Music.

To celebrate, the band has unveiled an enthralling lyric video for the album’s opening track, “Lure of the Abyss,” created by the talented team at Black Sheep Media. You can experience the mesmerizing visuals and thought-provoking lyrics:

As a teaser for the album, a play through video for “Codex Gigas” (Designed by Melody) was previously released.

The album showcases 8 intricate compositions written by founding member guitarist Dave Sharpe (Dead by Wednesday, Ellefson US backing band) and singer Adam Sloan. To strengthen the rhythm section the band recruited NYC session drummer Alex Cohen (Malignancy, Pyrexia) with Sharpe handling bass duties and Sharpe and Sloan on keys. The tracks weave through the catchy and hook laden riffage the group is known for while also incorporating some Black Metal, Goth, and experimental elements to round out a mature Death Metal and Thrash musical evolution. Like E-TI’s predecessor Deities at War (2015), the tracking was completed at Sonic Environments studio with engineer Jeff Weed who recently remixed and remastered the album.

Black magick metal masters BEWITCHER will be releasing a brand new rarities and B-sides album on November 17, 2023 via Century Media Records! ‘Deep Cuts & Shallow Graves: Ten Years of Black Leather, Black Magic & White Hot Fucking Steel,’ is a massive 17-track compilation of Bewitcher original demo recordings, including rare and previously unreleased material, all remastered as well as two brand new studio tracks. TODOMAL is back with “A Greater Good”, their new studio album. The Spanish duo, formed by Christopher B. Wildman and Javier Fernández (Asgaroth, Nexus 6, The Heretic, Dejadeath, etc.) brings a collection of “dark songs” (as they like to define it), which began with the seeds planted in “Ultracrepidarian”, their debut album.

The band’s music has evolved into a complex, dense, and unclassifiable album that takes us on a journey through somber landscapes, existential doubts, tragicomedy, and spiritual and personal unrest. “A Greater Good” poses challenging questions, wrapped in music that is sometimes dark and at other times luminous, spanning from slow-tempo to progressive rock to quasi-mystical litanies. The path they embarked upon with their debut album, leading to desolate landscapes and the emptiness of the plateau, has continued into darker territories, reminiscent of tenebrist altarpieces, where doubts about what is right or wrong, what we do in this world to earn redemption, or why we have a nefarious tendency to destroy what we love are depicted against a smoldering forest. The journey continues, despite the obstacles.

“A Greater Good” boasts ambitious production to accommodate all its elements, like pieces of a giant mosaic. Vocal harmonies, acoustic elements, and occasional orchestral arrangements blend with serpentine opera-rock pieces, making their way by clawing through the earth.

Once again, the voice of Teodora Gosheva, the collaboration of Darío Garrido on the Spanish guitar and the audio assistance of ESOTERIC‘s Greg Chandler complete the work.

Special mention goes to the album cover, created by the multifaceted Paloma Pájaro, who brilliantly and resolutely encapsulates everything mentioned above.

The sophomore album of this prolific space doom duo will no doubt appeal to fans of bands like CANDLEMASS, KRUX, PINK FLOYD, AVATARIUM and, we dare to say, old GHOST! Doom on!

SHRAPNEL STORM is an old-school death metal band from Tampere, Finland.

Expect crushing mid-tempo death metal, mixed in with ruthless thrash components of speed and groove. Band has released two full-lenght albums: “Mother War” (2015), self-titled “Shrapnel Storm” (2020) and now they are preparing to release, brand new, third album titled “Silo“.

The album kicks off ominously reflecting the eerie sounds of oncoming doom and destruction, blasting into one of band’s more fast-paced tunes, followed by brutal stomping and wicked melodies track after track. Compared to their previous works, this album has the most variation when it comes to general “feeling” of songs, going from menacing to empowering. It is a ride of different emotions, all depicting aspects of giving your life to something you believe in, sometimes in vain.

Recording, mixing and mastering of “Silo” was executed by Daniel Rantanen at Danko Tones / JR Audio Studios at first half of 2023, and album was produced by Aadolf Virtanen. The cover and booklet design was made by Ville Yrjola.

Richmond, VA-based rockers RED REIGN take 80’s influences and steer them in a more contemporary direction – bridging the sounds of yesterday and today. The band is comprised of members singer/guitarist Carlton “Bubba” McMichael, guitarist Stevie Shred, bassist Larry Moore, and drummer Sammy Lee. Red Reign has worked with Grammy Award-nominated multi-platinum producer David Ivory (Halestorm) on both its releases: 2021’s self-titled EP and 2023’s forthcoming full-length Don’t Look Back.
