German melodic metal six-piece sensation SILENT REVENANTShave just released the lyric video for their new single “Siren”, a dark and personal song that explores the haunting power of the past. The track is taken from their upcoming album “The Withering Of The Blue Flower”, which will be out on October 13th, 2023 via Wormholedeath.
Commenting on the track, the band shared, “Siren is one of our darker and personal songs. The song personifies unforgettable memories as a siren leading to doom with her enticing song. The siren thus stands metaphorically for the past, which not only haunts us but also invites us to dwell in it with bittersweet promises. Accordingly, the sound is both brutal and enticing. I think that almost every person knows such experiences and we all have heard the bittersweet singing of this “siren”.

Founding member and guitarist Eyal Levi comments on the band’s latest single and the addition of lead guitarist Rafael Trujillo:
“Two pieces of great news in the Dååth camp today:
First, we released a new song called The Silent Foray. I used our original demos from 1999 as a primary inspiration while writing this one. I think fans of The Hinderers and Futility will love it, especially the final third, where the synth and guitar layering create this epically lush and creepy climax. Overall, it’s just a slamming song with great riffs, great vocals, and a fantastic guest solo by Per Nilsson. It’s streaming everywhere. CHECK IT OUT!
Second, we have completed our lineup by adding Rafael Trujillo on lead guitar. Back in the summer of 2022, while searching for lead guitarists to feature on No Rest No End, Krimh sent me an Instagram clip of some Austrian guitarist with the same last name as the Metallica guy and told me that we should see if he would do it. Skeptical as I always am, I watched it and had my mind blown. As soon as I heard his playing, I wanted him in the band. So we asked him to contribute a guest solo to No Rest No End, which came out great.
It was so easy to work with him that we collaborated on our The Philosopher cover, which also went great. At that point, we were 2 for 2 with Rafael, and I knew we could work together. Time for the real test: We asked him to help finish writing a song from the upcoming album. His first ideas were all I needed to hear. We were 3 for 3. The rest is history.
You’ll hear his work all over the new album. His style fits us perfectly. He gets it. No matter what state the demos are in, he gets where we’re going with it, and that’s massive! Our classical backgrounds helped us connect musically. He has a history of playing with some of the all-time tech death greats, and he’s incredible at just about any genre you can throw at him. Perfect for this band. Like the rest of us, he has 3 million things going on simultaneously, so he fits right in.
That’s all I’ve got for now. I hope you enjoy The Silent Foray and share it with everyone you know.”
Rafael added:
“Exciting News!
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially joined Dååth as their lead guitarist! Over the past year, I’ve collaborated with these fantastic musicians and even had the opportunity to contribute to the upcoming album. It’s an absolute honor to be a part of this band, and I can’t wait to share the music with all of you.
But that’s not all! We’re thrilled to announce the release of our brand-new song, The Silent Foray.
Thank you for your continued support!“

About the band: Dååth is an American progressive death metal band based in Atlanta, Georgia. The band began their journey in 1999 and stayed busy for just over a decade before taking a hiatus in 2011. In that time, Dååth released 4 studio albums (Futility – self-released 2004, The Hinderers – Roadrunner Records 2007, The Concealers – Century Media 2009, Dååth – Century Media 2010) and toured throughout the world with band’s like Dark Funeral, Naglfar, Zyklon, Dragonforce, Goatwhore, Chimaira, Throwdown, Dying Fetus, and Devildriver making a lasting impression with the metal community and its many subgenres. Dååth also landed a coveted spot on Ozzfest playing before tens of thousands of fans in outdoor amphitheaters across the US in addition to the infamous and long-running metal tour, Summer Slaughter.
In their time, Dååth managed to create an extensive fanbase worldwide with their unique brand of experimental death metal, which makes it no surprise that the metal community lit up once rumors of the band’s return began to surface online. The metal community only continued to buzz with support as members began making posts teasing new material. The metal world made it clear they were ready for the return of one of the strongest progressive death metal bands of the first part of the 00’s.
Dååth is now back with an updated lineup and stronger than ever, which can be heard in the group’s new single “No Rest No End” that saw digital release by Metal Blade Records on February 22, 2023. The track features guest solos by Rafael Trujillo (Obsidious, ex-Obscura) and Spiro Dussias and was mixed by Jens Bogren (Sepultura, At The Gates, Kreator, Dimmu Borgir), Mastered by Tony Lindgren (Enslaved, Katatonia, Leprous, Wardruna), with Vocal Production by Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember, Motionless In White, Wage War), and Engineering by John Douglass (Megadeth, Alluvial, The Contortionist).
Dååth followed up the release of “No Rest No End” with a cover of Death‘s “The Philosopher” that features Dan Sugarman of Ice Nine Kills and Rafael Trujillo and was released digitally on April 24, 2023.
On May 30, Dååth released the original single “Purified By Vengeance” that features both Mark Holcomb of Periphery and composer and sound designer Mick Gordon. The track was mixed by Jens Bogren, with Andrew Wade as vocal producer, and John Douglass handling engineering duties.
The band’s latest digital single, a cover of Morbid Angel‘s classic “Where the Slime Live” featuring a guest guitar solo performance by Dave Davidson of Revocation. The track was mixed and mastered by Dave Otero with artwork by Ryan Wolanski.
Technical Death Metal band GORY BLISTER just released their new seventh full-length album Reborn from Hatred via Eclipse Records on September 8, and earlier today, the band dropped a new lyric video for the song ‘Push Out the Venom’. The album was mixed by Ricardo Borges (Sepultura, Kreator, Carcass), and mastered by Peter Brussee (Steve Vai, Yingwie Malmsteen, Michael Bolton). ‘Push Out the Venom’ is the third music video taken from the new album, and it was directed by Maurizio Del Piccolo.
“Push Out the Venom is about rejecting negativity in the world, and healing from trauma” says lead vocalist John St. John. “The only way to find freedom from this negativity is by purging emotional toxins and embracing positivity. I think everyone needs to free themselves from negative influences and past traumas that have darkened their mind and soul. The message of this song invites listeners to expel emotional toxicities and encouraging them to wake up from their nightmare, embrace freedom and release their deepest fears.”
The new seventh album by Gory Blister is entitled Reborn from Hatred. The brutally-technical full-length release contains eleven masterful songs, with artwork by Augusto Peixoto of Iron Doom Design. It was Produced by Raff Sangiorgio and Gianluca D’andria, mixed by Ricardo Borges (Sepultura, Kreator, Carcass) at Fascination Street Studio, and mastered by Peter Brussee (Steve Vai, Yingwie Malmsteen) at Q Point Studio, and it was released on September 8, 2023. The music on the album screams for us to go hard, all the way, face-first into the den of our demons so we can wear their blood on our faces like war paint. The guitars on this record, while scorching, are patterned with such complexity, that there is a raucous intricacy to what is delivered as delicious and violent. The drum licks come in hurricanes of 4/4 and mixed meter time signatures, with the bass replacing our own pounding hearts. This is personal. Gory Blister are not just playing music, but providing our soundtrack as we walk through the fire. There’s a zombie in the funhouse, and we’re going in with baseball bats. There’s a rabid jackal loose in the gift shop, and we’re going in with a net. There’s a circus clown slaughtering people in the freak tent, and we’re going in with machetes, broadswords, and Mineral Mountain Battle Hatchets. The band never tells us to play nice, and like a muse inspires artists to create, Gory Blister shows us the way retool the darkness.
This Saturday, September 16, 2023, the live album of the Polish death/thrash metal band FAUST will be released. This release contains material recorded during a concert at the VooDoo club in Warsaw. It was the band’s third performance after a 15-year break! The album includes songs promoting the album “Wspólnota dirty consciences” (2019), which was promoted at that time. The above-mentioned release appeared in many summaries for the best album of 2019 and was most often compared to the musical achievements of the early era of KAT or the American band Testament.
The “VooDoo Live” album will be available in digital format on the most popular streaming platforms, and its physical release is planned for the second half of 2024, i.e. on the 25th anniversary of the release of the debut album.
The mix was handled by Paweł “Janos” Grabowski from JNS Studio, who has collaborated with bands such as Antigama, Hostia and Riverside. The cover is a joint work of: Anna Malesińska, Piotr Czajkowski and Martyna “Seth” Pawłowska.

Praised by critics and specialized media, “Camino De Brujos” continues to be a topic in various circles within the music scene. Alejandro Londono Montoya, guitarist and vocalist of the band, was recently interviewed by Brazilian Heavy metal program Backstage, by radio personality Vitão Bonesso, where Alejandro spoke more about this new phase that “Camino de Brujos” initiated for CULTURA TRES.
Montoya explained to the revered and oldest heavy metal program in the world that Andy Wallace, producer and sound engineer behind great classics like Chaos A.D. (Sepultura), Seasons In The Abyss, South Of Heaven (Slayer), and In The Meantime (Helmet), created a unique sound for these heavy metal classics and was directly responsible for their tremendous success at the time, leaving a lasting impression on many headbangers’ memories and becoming part of the history of heavy music. CULTURA TRES‘s guitarist further added that he is a fan of the classic MTV era when the Headbangers Ball program aired, and videos from these albums were frequently played on the music channel.
“One of the things that has influenced us the most of all time is the sound of the album ‘La Sexorcisto’ by the band White Zombie,” commented Montoya. The classic released by White Zombie in 1992 was precisely produced by Wallace.
But he added: “the connection that people hear between the Paulo of the 90s Sepultura and CULTURA TRES is due to the search for the Andy Wallace’s sound of that has taken root in us and that was the guideline to follow for the mix of this album. ‘Camino de Brujos’, because we must not forget that the Sepultura albums from the 90s were mixed by Andy.”
Alejandro also commented on the presence of Paulo Jr., bassist of SEPULTURA, in CULTURA TRES‘s lineup: “There is no heavy metal group in South America that does not consider SEPULTURA a reference. It’s SEPULTURA plus another influence, without a doubt. So, for us, it was a great honor to have Paulo not only recording but also being a member of the band.”
CULTURA TRES has made ‘Camino De Brujos’ an album that explores both new and old musical textures. Thrash, sludge, and classic rock blend into a single sonic communion here, making everything on the album become what the band has always desired for their music.
“The title of the album ‘Camino de Brujos’ can be roughly translated as ‘Path of the Witches.’ ‘Camino de Brujos’ is the main line sung over a slow and unsettling riff of a song filled with tribal ritual percussion, typical of black magic practices in South America. The phrase not only ended up being the only lyric sung in the song but also gave the album its name and identity,” explains Alejandro.
CULTURA TRES is prepraring themselves for their tour in the UK to promote their new album “Camino de Brujos”. Below confirmed dates:

DOME LA MUERTE E.X.P have released the brand new single “When The Night Is Over” from the upcoming album “El Santo”, which will be released on September 22nd via Go Down Records. Listen to the track below.
Dome La Muerte comments: “I wrote the lyrics to “When the Night is Over” in the parking lot of a nightclub after a DJ night. The sunrise inspired me with stories of decaying souls, troubled loves, lies, promises, and fake confessions that fade away just “when the night is over”. This year I enjoyed recording it with an artist I respect a lot, Hugo Race. He arranged the song, and we then performed it with the valuable contribution of Max Larocca’s deep and intense vocals, Nicola Baronti’s keyboards, and Matteo Sodini’s drums, in a floating studio in Torre del Lago Puccini, Tuscany.“
“When The Night Is Over” offers a glimpse into the musical brilliance that awaits listeners in “El Santo”. Dome La Muerte E.X.P, known for their previous release “Lazy Sunny Day” seven years ago, has crafted an album that showcases their mastery of distorted dark blues sounds, canyon echoes, and dreamy melodies. “El Santo” is a concept album that serves as an authentic soundtrack, transporting listeners into a world of redemption and courage. Each track is dedicated to revolutionary characters, heroes fighting against injustice and the establishment. Dome La Muerte E.X.P pays homage to poets, actors, activists, Native Americans, and rebels, all of whom are portrayed as “saints” in their own right.
The album’s inspiration draws from the iconic spaghetti western soundtracks and the atmospheric creations of maestro Ennio Morricone, famously associated with Sergio Leone’s cinematic imagery. Dome La Muerte E.X.P has successfully captured the essence of these influences, infusing their own unique electro sound to create a truly captivating musical experience.
