Blackened horror outfit VEILE (with members of MAYHEM and GOD DETHRONED) are now proudly presenting the next horrifying chapter ‘The Abyss’! The brand new single, mixed and mastered by Russ Russell, comes in the form of a high quality short horror movie.

The track is streaming on various digital platforms HERE.

The shape-shifting creature embodies a multitude of fears and traumas, relentlessly pulling the protagonist towards the brink of darkness. This short film is a labour of love, a cathartic expression of my inner struggles and creative dedication. Each shot is meticulously planned, every frame carries the essence of the story and a piece of my soul. While the narrative is a personal one, I believe it’s something many of us can resonate with, making this both a personal and shared odyssey“

Blackened horror metal band VEILE released their first EP “The Ghost Sonata” in 2021. This unholy trinity is ridden with haunting orchestrations and unseen spectacles of multidimensional, sometimes nearly psychotic vocal outbursts.

VEILE is the creative outlet of composer/guitarist Charles Edward Alexander Hedger [a.i. MAYHEM, R-KOMPLEX], drummer Frank Skillpero [a.i. GOD DETHRONED, THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT (session)] and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/composer Anabelle.

Unassociated with any of the names the members have on their resumé, VEILE operates as a DIY entity on the black & horror metal spectrum. Acting as their own manager & label, the band chooses to release their first attacks on your nerves independently under the flag of Spectre of Darkness.

SUOL to Release Self-Titled Debut Album in October

Dutch black metal entity SUOL have announced the upcoming release of their self-titled debut album on October 27th 2023 via Swarte Yssel. The first single from the album, “Slot van Voorst”, is now premiering at Black Metal Daily. Stream it HERE.

At once prudently traditional and brazenly unorthodox, SUOL’s iteration of black metal simmers and shimmers, flooding the senses in a fever dream of passion, violence and ancient folklore.

After releasing the albums for Shagor, Ossaert, Dinbethes and Weerzin, J. and P. decided to put their shared passion for local myths, sagas and historical stories into a new project: SUOL. Local folktales and dramatic events from past history around the Zwolle and the IJssel area make up the thematics on the record.

To strengthen the local character of the record, P. and J. decided to work with musicians from their local region exclusively. Supported on drums by Elshschappij Tovenaere, on vocals by H. and S and on spoken word by D., the self-titled debut of SUOL was born. Let these six songs take you on a path from Zwolle across the IJssel river towards the Zuiderzee, past arsonist robber barons, shore devils, black shadows, devoured villages and strung-up murderers.

As with Shagor, Dinbethes and Weerzin, the collaboration for the artwork was found at Artfromtheunderground. The pencil drawings were supplied by J.B. Both the Digipak release and the digital release will be handled by Swarte Yssel.

HumanKind’s debut album “An End, Once and for All” tackles the difficult and all-too-human case of fighting our own psychological struggles.

The modern-metalcore album was produced by Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay, Sawdust Recordings) and took Samuel (vocals), Maria (guitars), Tobias (guitars), Dominik (bass), and Marco (drums) over one and a half years of invested passion, time, energy, and hard work.

Through this album, the band seeks to offer a silver lining to those who are undergoing mental struggles of all sorts, assuring them that they’re not alone. With its vibrant and startling message, An End, Once and for All is an emotional and compelling journey that aims to advocate for values like cohesion, trust, and creativity. Combining heartfelt passion with the universal language of music, HumanKind empower their listeners to start fighting their own demons.

Throughout the album, the songs as well as the lyrics appear profound yet comprehensible; intense yet empathetic. With fast-paced outbursts and contemplative moments of clarity; with heartbreaking confessions and heartfelt messages of support, HumanKind have created an album that will speak to souls. It is meant to be a ray of hope for anyone faced with depression and all other sorts of mental-health issues and a reminder that they are not alone and that healing is possible.

“An End, Once and for All” will be released on November 24, 2023 as Digipack CD, Transparent Orange Vinyl limited to 300 copies worldwide and digital streaming/download format.

TESLA Premiere ‘S.O.S. (TOO BAD)’ Music Video

Legendary rock band TESLA have premiered the official music video for “S.O.S. (TOO BAD)”. The song is a bonus track from their FULL THROTTLE LIVE album that released on May 26, 2023. The album was recorded live at Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis.

“SOS (TOO BAD)” is an old Aerosmith song that TESLA loves. The 1970s era of Aerosmith plays a huge musical influence on TESLA. Jeff Keith and Frank Hannon list Aerosmith’s “Live Bootleg” as one of their favorite albums of all time. “As a young guitarist in 1978, I studied Aerosmith’s “Live Bootleg!” album, learning all the raw guitar licks they played live. When it came time to pick a song to top off TESLA’s new live album.. we chose a classic riff rocker from that legendary live album to pay tribute to AEROSMITH and the raw realness of such a great guitar riff!” says Frank Hannon.

“SOS (TOO BAD)” is a classic song that translates live with TESLA. Recorded and filmed live in Frank Hannon’s garage, “SOS (TOO BAD)” rocks hard!

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s, but their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like The Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Aerosmith.

The ground started shaking in Sacramento, CA, in 1984; gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd, until a suggested name change to TESLA, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album, Mechanical Resonance, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly, TESLA, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth, earned headlining status. In 1990, TESLA helped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles, Stones, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to date, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from TESLA include platinum selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut. The band continues to record and release material including 9 new albums since 2000.
