BLOOD WHITE Release New Single ‘All I Said Was A Lie’

BLOOD WHITE release the new single “All I Said Was A Lie”, taken from the upcoming studio album “From Hell” out on August 28 at Metalville.

‘All I Said Was A Lie’ unleashes melodic death metal at its most powerful: heavy riffs, driving drums and epic melodies merge into a storm of energy and emotion. Combining Nordic power with modern precision, the song delivers a gripping blend of intensity and atmosphere.

There are countless young bands that are still searching for their own individual musical identity and a breakthrough image based on their own visionary concept. And then there’s BLOOD WHITE, a band that has already found all these factors. Although the five-piece band has only been together since 2022, their sound is incredibly mature, creative and unique. BLOOD WHITE have developed a refined, distinctive mix of modern metal, rock and hardcore which leaves a lasting impression. Added to that, the band’s incredible stage outfits, highlighted through their glaring red and white ‘corporate identity’, sets the quintet apart from the genre’s standard dull, black style which so many of their contemporaries seem to favour. But most importantly, their debut album, “From Hell”, presents music of a standard rarely found in newcomer acts.

The songs mix raw metal riffs and brutal grooves with catchy choruses which enables listeners who are less into the metal-genre immediate access to their exciting, hellraising music. Listen to tracks such as “All I Said Was A Lie”‚ “Bloodified”, “I Smell Blood” or “From Hell” and watch the videos of “Run Or Die” and “Guns & Fear” which all show BLOOD WHITE’s extensive range of stylistic potential and musical influences. At the same time, the album also provides a number of surprises.

Practically out of nowhere (or rather, out of darkest hell), singer Dr. Zero projects a deep sense of melancholy, grief and anger on “Before I Die”, deliberately leaving a number of questions unanswered. Dr. Zero: “The song says something about me, and its metaphors express precisely what I want to share with our audience. It’s about love, about its dependence on your own emotions and on what constitutes the bleakness of grief. Thoughts of having nothing left but a refuge, albeit one that makes you slide even deeper into the abyss than you already have.”

“From Hell” and “Fear” strike a similar lyrical note and present demonic verbal exchanges on God and the world, preachers, monsters and demons, as well as the eternal horror of war and devastation leading, ultimately, to the destruction of one’s own soul. Dr. Zero added: “Most of our songs are about the chasms of the human mind, its capacity for absolute evil, a contradiction to love and compassion. This contraction also resonates in the name “Blood White”, red being a symbol of blood, but also of love, and white stands for innocence and eternity evoking that glistening, bright light that people who have experienced ‘being clinically dead’ talk about.”

The appraisal above says it all! BLOOD WHITE hold everything in their own hands, it’s all there to be seen and heard: the music, the videos, the album sleeve, the photos – the entire band and its image!

BLOOD WHITE are fulfilling the promise of an even more spectacular (metal) future!

BEDSORE, the Rome-based progressive death metal outfit, will join Belgian occult collective Wolvennest as direct support on the “In the Ruins” XXMMVI Tour, running across eleven dates in Europe this October. The run takes the package through Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland between October 19th and October 29th, 2026.

“Bringing Dreaming the Strife for Love to the stage on a proper European tour feels like completing its cycle before embracing a new chapter.” the band notes. “As we are currently putting the finishing touches on the compositions for our new album, this journey marks a meaningful transition for the band. Touring alongside Wolvennest makes this run especially significant to us, as they embody the same spirit of experimentation and artistic exploration that has always inspired our own approach to Metal. We look forward to bringing this music across Europe and sharing these songs with you, night after night.”

A six-piece live unit, BEDSORE translate their dense, layered studio work into a kaleidoscopic stage experience—one built around the interplay of Hammond organ, Mellotron, synthesizers, and dual guitars, alongside the raw, destructive charge of their death metal core. The band has steadily built a live reputation through two prior European tours and appearances at Chaos Descends Festival, Incineration Festival, Kill-Town Death Fest, Courts of Chaos Festival, Frantic Festival, and Metalitalia Festival.

The tour marks Bedsore’s first run of dates since joining Season of Mist and unfolds as the band is deep in work on their forthcoming album for the label; the follow-up to 2024’s Dreaming the Strife for Love, released via 20 Buck Spin.

IN THE RUINS – XXMMVI TOUR DATES:

19 October: Kortrijk, BE @ DVG Club
20 October: Utrecht, NL @ dB’s
21 October: Paris, FR @ Glazart
22 October: Dordrecht, NL @ Bibelot
23 October: Hamburg, DE @ Bambi Galore
24 October: Berlin, DE @ ORWOhaus
25 October: Mörlenbach, DE @ Live Music Hall Weiher
26 October: Martigny, CH @ Sunset
27 October: Salzburg, AT @ Rockhouse
28 October: Krakow, PL @ Zaścianek
29 October: Warsaw, PL @ Voodoo Club

From the Eternal City, BEDSORE are like a wounded dream pulsing in darkness, an aural oracle shaping, at times, the Agitation and the Sublime.

Since 2018, the act has quickly emerged from the Italian underground with a distinct synthesis of extreme metal, 1970s progressive rock heritage, and cinematic horror atmospheres, withdrawing a sound at once baroque and primeval, oneiric and violent.

Their debut Hypnagogic Hallucinations (2020, 20 Buck Spin), revealed Bedsore’s fascination with the intersection of such contrasted elements, earning attention for their brave blend, which they further explored on their 2022 split with Mortal Incarnation.

With Dreaming the Strife for Love (2024, 20 Buck Spin), Bedsore elevated their formula into a shape that once and for all defies any definition, suspended between Renaissance mysticism and metal catharsis, where a layered musical masquerade plays amid graceful passages and howls of blood and fever. Inspired by the enigmatic 15th-century book Hypnerotomachia Poliphili, the album merged an everlasting metal foundation with prominent progressive constructions, unfolding as a hero’s journey where love contends with decay, where matter dissolves into dreams, and fears walk beside ecstasy. Bedsore weaved a variegated sonic architecture, shifting from biting riffs and screams to tender soaring melodies and hybrid orchestral-like instrumentation. The sinuous structures of the tracks, their dynamic tempo changes and the aerial acoustic interludes, mirror the dreamlike odyssey of Poliphilo’s voyage by constantly alternating between tension and release, chaos and harmony.

This year, Bedsore proudly joined the prestigious roster of Season of Mist, opening a new phase in their artistic path. This step prepares the ground for their forthcoming album, promising to expand their sound into even richer and more daring territories.

Like so many of their Italian brethren from Goblin and Devil Doll, to Death SS and Black Hole, Bedsore continue to pursue their uncompromising vision, now in a renovated vest, and performing as a six-piece to achieve a more powerful live dynamic and timbrel palette.

Bedsore already have two European tours and appearances at eminent international festivals like Chaos Descends Festival, Incineration Festival, Kill-Town Death Fest, Courts of Chaos Festival, Frantic Festival and Metalitalia Festival under their belts. The band’s live appearances aim to convey their musical kaleidoscopic frame into a unique visual and aural experience that’s all-encompassing for both the audience and the musicians.

So, brace yourself! Bedsore’s journey is just at its beginning, and the future promises even greater sonic heights.

Following the success of their critically acclaimed, JUNO Award-nominated self-titled album, The Damn Truth are thrilled to be joining the Frontiers Music family as the label prepares the worldwide release of The Damn Truth Deluxe Edition with bonus track on September 11, 2026. Pre-order the album HERE.

To celebrate the announcement, the band will release a 2026 remastered version of “The Willow” (2026) as the focus single from the Deluxe Edition campaign on Friday June 12.

Originally featured on the band’s critically acclaimed self-titled album, produced by legendary Grammy Award-winning producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, The Offspring), the track launches an exciting new chapter as The Damn Truth prepare to bring the album to a worldwide audience through its first global physical release.

The album will be released in 4 different vinyl colours including black vinyl, coke bottle clear vinyl, gold vinyl, and red & white splatter vinyl, which can be pre-ordered HERE.

Originally released in 2025, The Damn Truth marked a defining moment in the band’s career. Produced by Bob Rock, the self-titled album showcased a band operating at the height of its creative powers, blending timeless rock and roll, blues-infused swagger, powerful songwriting, and the unmistakable voice of frontwoman Lee-la Baum.

Atmospheric, powerful, and deeply emotive, “The Willow” has become a fan favourite since the album’s release. Showcasing the band’s ability to balance raw rock energy with vulnerability and soul, the song captures the spirit of a band that has spent more than a decade forging its own path through relentless touring, unwavering determination and a fierce commitment to authentic rock and roll.

Like the solitary tree depicted on its striking artwork,”The Willow” is a song about endurance. Rooted deeply yet constantly moving with the wind, it reflects the journey of a band that has never stopped believing in its vision, while building a growing international audience one stage at a time.

Speaking about the album and this next chapter, the band said:

When we began writing what would become our self-titled album, The Damn Truth, we knew there was only one way forward: to dig deeper than we’d ever gone before. Not because anyone expected it of us, but because there was a fire burning in this band a hunger to create something honest, something powerful, something that would move us as much as the records that shaped our lives.

Bringing Bob Rock into the fold took that vision to another level. There was something truly magical in the air during those sessions, an energy that’s hard to explain and impossible to manufacture. We weren’t just making a record we were chasing a feeling, capturing moments that felt bigger than ourselves and committing them to tape.

What happened next was beyond anything we could have imagined. Watching these songs find their way into your lives has been the greatest reward we’ve ever known as artists. Time and again, we’ve heard your stories, your interpretations, and the deeply personal connections you’ve forged with this music. That’s the real magic of rock & roll. Once the songs leave our hands, they belong to all of us.

It’s been an incredible journey so far, and yet we’ve only just begun! We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Frontiers Music and the worldwide release of The Damn Truth Deluxe Edition. Featuring a bonus tracks and new surprises, this marks our first global release with Frontiers and a chance to bring these songs to an even wider audience around the world.

To celebrate, we’ll be hitting the road for an extensive UK and European tour, including select dates this fall alongside the legendary band Europe. We can’t wait to share these nights with you – SEE YOU OUT THERE!

As The Damn Truth prepares to launch their next chapter with Frontiers Music, the band are also gearing up for their busiest period of touring yet.

With more than 40 headline, festival and special guest appearances scheduled between June and October, the run includes appearances at Azkena Rock Festival, Stonedead Festival and FESTIMUSIK, as well as selected dates alongside rock legends Europe on their “The Final Countdown” 40th Anniversary Tour.

PAUL GILBERT Releases 35th Anniversary of ‘Tribute to Jimi Hendrix’ – Available Digitally for the Very First Time

Paul Gilbert re-releases his 1991 album Tribute to Jimi Hendrix via Music Theories Recordings / Artone Label Group – celebrating its 35th Anniversary, it becomes officially available digitally for the first time.

Order HERE

Listen to Gilbert’s take on ‘Highway Chile.’ Talking about the song, he says, “When I was 5 years old, my uncle Jimi Kidd insisted that I buy the “War Heroes” album by Jimi Hendrix. I dutifully bought it, and “Highway Chile” quickly became one of my favorite songs.”

Check out Gilbert’s interpretation of ‘Highway Chile’ HERE

It’s the album that almost never was, or never should have been. Picture the scene, it’s 2 June 1991 and Paul Gilbert was invited to the Frankfurt Jazz Festival in Germany to trade a few solos with Albert Collins, who was headlining the festival.

At the time Gilbert was riding high with Mr Big and Lean Into It had not long been released. “I was already in Europe, finishing up a Mr. Big tour, so the travel would be easy. I said, “Yes!,” Gilbert says.

However, shortly after arriving at the venue, Gilbert learned that Collins had suffered a sudden health issue and would be unable to perform. “The promoter was panicking and asked me to be the headlining act instead,” Gilbert says. “I didn’t have a band with me. And I didn’t have any solo material prepared.”

The promoter quickly assembled a backing band using the bassist and drummer from Ten Years After, the group led by Alvin Lee, who were also appearing at the festival.

It was only hours before showtime. “The only thing I could think to do was to quickly rehearse some Jimi Hendrix songs and make the solos long enough to fill up a whole set. I told the promoter, “We only have time to learn 5 songs, so I’m going to have to play REALLY LONG SOLOS.” The promoter said, “It’s a jazz festival! That will be great!”

So the band and Paul jumped into rehearsal, and a couple hours later, did the show with scorching renditions of ‘Red House.’ ‘Hey Joe,’ ‘Highway Chile,’ ‘Midnight’ and ‘Purple Haze’ – “It turned out great,” he says. “I don’t think I’ve ever played such long solos in my life!”

1. Red House
2. Hey Joe
3. Highway Chile
4. Midnight
5. Purple Haze

TAAKE Reveals Details of Ninth Full-Length Album “En Skog av Nidstang” + Drops New Single ‘Einstoeingen og Eg’

Having balanced tradition and innovation for over three decades, Taake remains fiercely independent while continually pushing its own creative boundaries. That uncompromising vision finds new expression on the ninth full-length album, En Skog av Nidstang.

Past years of increasing isolation, detached from contemporary trends and largely removed from the influence of other music, the creative drive of songwriter Hoest has only intensified, resulting in four expansive compositions that flow naturally from the inspired mindset behind 2023’s critically acclaimed Et Hav av Avstand.

The recordings for En Skog av Nidstang were completed south of Bergen, in the moss-covered forests around the island of Borgøy. In the surroundings depicted by the ill-fated Norwegian painter Lars Hertervig, Taake embraced the focused seclusion of the landscape, relying less on modern technology or studio excess, but on intuition, confinement, creativity, and a mastery of the rudimentary tools of the trade.

And today, fans will, for the first time, get a taste of the album with the release of the track “Einstoeingen og Eg” which can be downloaded or streamed at: https://orcd.co/einstoeingen-og-eg

En Skog av Nidstang sounds unmistakably like Taake. Reckless thrashing riffs mix with brooding gloom, chilling melodies emerge from violent intensity, and moments of desolate reflection give way to untamed aggression. The result is an album that celebrates the enduring power of an unyielding artistic vision; proof that, after 33 years, Taake remains as vital, distinctive and relevant as ever.

Recorded, mixed and produced by Bjørnar Erevik Nilsen (VULTURE INDUSTRIES) and mastered by Øystein G. Brun (BORKNAGAR), track listing for “En Skog av Nidstang” is as follows:

  1. Einstoeingen og Eg
  2. Et Dyr tok min Hud
  3. Engler
  4. Av Guds ville Naade

En Skog av Nidstang will be available in jewel case CD, digipak CD, Cassette, LP (the first pressing of which will contain an A2 Poster), Ltd Edition White and Transparent LPs (limited to 500 copies each) and Digital formats.

It can now be pre-ordered from:
Webshop: https://shop.karismarecords.no/collections/preorder
US webshop: https://darkessence.indiemerch.com/band/taake

Plans are being drawn up for multiple tours, and in the meantime, TAAKE has been confirmed for the following appearances:

“It’s not just album marketing speak to say that this genuinely feels like a new era for the band,” wrote Decibel Magazine. Blabbermouth concurred crowning the offering, “one of this year’s most unmissable metal (and prog) records… RIVERS OF NIHIL are beginning to sound unstoppable,” while Metal Injection lauded a record that’s, “sonically sound, emotionally poignant, experimental in the right places.”

The praise didn’t stop here with outlets across the globe chiming in with their take on the band’s self-titled release. “RIVERS OF NIHIL dare to experiment, and it pays off” says Deaf Forever (Germany) who gave the release an 8/10 while Arrow Lords of Metal (Netherlands) gave the album a 9.5/10 stating “This is progressive death metal of the highest level!” FUZE (Germany) said “For several years now, RIVERS OF NIHIL have stood for more than just progressive death metal, and with their self-titled album, they are pushing this development even further. Thus, this work perhaps lays the perfect foundation for what may yet come in the band’s hopefully long career.”
