M-Theory Audio is proud to announce the signing of Finnish melancholic melodic death/gothic metal force ENDLESS CHAIN. To mark the beginning of this new partnership, the band have released their brand-new single, “Fade to Nothingness,” across all digital platforms, accompanied by a compelling new music video. Video production by Winter Notes Production.

“Fade to Nothingness” serves as the first taste of ENDLESS CHAIN’s anticipated new full-length album, ‘Nothingness,’ set for a worldwide release on November 20 via M-Theory Audio. A masterpiece of profound melancholy and atmosphere mixed with aggressive beauty and emotional weight. Physical pre-orders for the album, Digipak CD with booklet, or limited (300) hardwood colored vinyl with insert and digital download are available via Bandcamp and the M-Theory Audio webstore. Both platforms will ship from the US or Europe based upon your location.

“There’s only a couple instances I regretted passing on a band’s submission, and ENDLESS CHAIN is one. We considered releasing the band’s 2024 album, ‘Agony.” reminisces label founder Marco Barbieri. “Hearing the finished album, I instantly knew I’d made a mistake—Endless Chain’s unique mix of dark aggression and poignant emotion resonated instantly. I’m thrilled they gave us another chance with their third album—a powerhouse release that takes their evocative, expressive songwriting to a whole new level.”

“We’re incredibly excited to join the M-Theory Audio family,” comments founder and guitarist Timo Mölsä on the signing. “Many years of dedicated and patient work have led us to this moment. We would like to sincerely thank Marco Barbieri and the entire M-Theory Audio team for believing in our band and our music. We can’t wait to share the new album with the world.”

“Although ‘Fade to Nothingness’ is one of the heaviest EC songs ever, there’s still something beautiful within it,” Mölsä adds. “It’s a good representation of the upcoming album, and it was one of the first songs I wrote for the new album.”

Vocalist Aki Salonen reflects on the song’s dark thematic core, “The story behind the song is pretty complex. It’s about that ‘darkest hour’ when you finally admit to yourself that things went too far a long time ago, and no amount of fighting is going to bring that past back. It could be about relationships, serious illness, death, you name it. In the end, it’s up to the listener which perspective eases their mind the most.”

ABOUT ENDLESS CHAIN:

Founded by primary songwriter Timo Mölsä, ENDLESS CHAIN emerged as a deeply personal creative outlet before evolving into their formidable potential within the Finnish metal landscape. Characterized by rich, haunting melodies, crushing riffs, and atmospheric soundscapes, the band seamlessly bridges the gap between melancholic gothic metal and heavy melodic death metal.

Following their debut release, ‘Forthcoming Past,’ ENDLESS CHAIN solidified a stable recording and performance lineup featuring vocalist Aki Salonen, guitarist/primary songwriter Timo Mölsä, multi-instrumentalist Aleksanteri Kuosa, and drummer Samuli Mikkonen. Together, they have refined a sound that balances dark, emotive storytelling with aggressive, soaring metal instrumentation.

Following up on the success of their 2021 debut album ENDLESS CHAIN returned in 2024 with their sophomore effort, ‘Agony.’ ‘Agony’ expanded the band’s signature atmospheric sound—weaving together heavy, melancholic metal foundations with progressive nuances and intricate gothic structures. Central to the album’s identity is the compelling vocal dynamic between Ville Hovi’s soaring clean vocals and Aki Salonen’s visceral, harsh growls. Backed by guitarists Timo Mölsä and Aleksanteri Kuosa, alongside powerhouse drummer Samuli Mikkonen (Korpiklaani), the 10-track collection delves deep into human struggle, resilience, and hope amid inner chaos. ‘Agony’ soldified ENDLESS CHAIN’s place in Finnish melodic metal, delivering a deeply emotional and sonic journey through light and shadow.

ENDLESS CHAIN IS:
Aki Salonen – Vocals (growls)
Ville Hovi – Vocals (clean)
Timo Mölsä – Guitar
Aleksanteri Kuosa – Guitar, Bass

DOWN to Release “Volume V” Full-Length on November 20th + Single/Video ‘Blood Oath’ Out Now

American heavy metal icons DOWN will unleash their long-awaited new studio album, Volume V, on November 20th via Nuclear Blast Records!

DOWN was never just a band. It’s a brotherhood rooted in childhood friendships that have endured for decades. It’s an homage to the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. It’s music meant for anybody who has ever headbanged, played air guitar, or worn a weathered tour t-shirt like armor. For over three decades, the quintet  – Philip H. Anselmo, Pepper Keenan, Kirk Windstein, Jimmy Bower, and Pat Bruders – have quietly built a legacy like no other. When these individuals congregate, magic ensues, conjured by earthquaking grooves, bellowing straight from the soul, and riffing loud enough to awaken an ancient deity.

This Fall, DOWN begins another chapter with Volume V.

“We were all excited about this,” smiles Anselmo. “There was a sense of lightness in the air. Everyone’s attitude was positive. There was more focus than ever. It just felt fresh again. Each one of us was individually striving for something, and I believe we achieved what we wanted to achieve. The record is a journey. It’s classic DOWN, but it’s also unique.”

“Everybody played their asses off, wrote great riffs, and Philip is singing amazing,” adds Windstein. “There’s so much electricity when we get together. To me, it’s the same vibe as our debut NOLA, but we’ve got another 35 years of experience as songwriters.”

“The five of us are from the same era, grew up together, and accomplished a lot on our own,” Keenan observes. “We all sounded different, but we’re still from the same 20-block radius. As far as what makes DOWN special, we knew one another before any of us had done anything. There’s history.”

DOWN’s bond runs deep. The guys initially crossed paths as teens in various local bands throughout New Orleans. Over the years, each musician went off and made a name for himself with Anselmo notably fronting Pantera, Keenan holding down guitar and vocals for Corrosion Of Conformity, Windstein leading Crowbar, and Bower slinging guitar in Eyehategod.

Two writing sessions yielded the bulk of material on Volume V. Upholding a tradition dating back to Down II, the members retreated to Anselmo’s home studio and their de facto clubhouse, Nodferatu’s Lair. Songs originated on the spot as they jammed face-to-face. Throughout 2025, the music naturally took shape. Keenan and Windstein chose to simultaneously record guitar together, giving the album a timeless punch.

The album opens with a blistering barnburner ‘The Myth.’ It sets the tone with a powerhouse vocal, pummeling rhythms, and precise down-picking. Then, there’s ‘Merciful Fate‘ featuring King Diamond. It reaches an apex with a vocal duel between Anselmo and King Diamond and fret-burning solos executed at a breakneck pace of 120bpm. King’s wife Livia Zita even blesses the track with dark accents of her own. Closer ‘Twice-Told Tales‘ caps the trip off with a heavy and hypnotic denouement. “It’s a conglomerate of tight riffs and blues rock mixed with the diligence of classic metal,” Anselmo reveals. “It’s an important song to us. I could feel Ozzy Osbourne’s influence on me in the strangest way.”

Lead single, ‘Blood Oath,’ is anchored by an alternately hard-hitting and hummable riff, culminating on a clarion call chorus. With a sly tip of the hat to their stomping grounds, it practically bleeds old gold, black, and white. “Anybody who’s from New Orleans is going to get a kick out of the references to the city,” grins Anselmo. “Musically, it’s got a big hook. It’s a DOWN song, but it takes a turn.”

“You’ll know it’s DOWN right off the fucking bat,” adds Keenan. “It’s heavy in its attack.”

More on DOWN:

In 1991, DOWN’s first impromptu jam session yielded a now-legendary demo that made its way around the world. From there, the three-song tape effectively laid the foundation for 1995’s Platinum-certified NOLA. Metal Hammer cited the latter as, “a rock classic, period,” and Stereogum professed, “Our modern understanding of what metal in the Deep South sounds like and means starts with NOLA, and we should pay our respects.” The band delivered fan favorites such as Down II: A Bustle In Your Hedgerow [2002], Down III: Over The Under [2007], Down IV – Part One [2012], and Down IV – Part Two [2014]. Each tour proved to be special in its own right. Beyond packing houses on global headline jaunts, the group shared the stage with the likes of Metallica, Heaven & Hell, Danzig, and Melvins in addition to igniting festivals such as Aftershock, Louder Than Life, Hellfest, and Sick New World. It’s no wonder Revolver christened the collective one of the “12 Greatest Supergroups in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal History.”

BUTCHER BABIES Announce New Album “Nightbloom” & Unveil New Video for ‘Blame it on the Wind’

Metal powerhouse Butcher Babies have announced their highly anticipated new album, NIGHTBLOOM, due out October 2nd via Judge & Jury Records. Along with the album announcement, the band has unveiled the official music video for their latest single, “Blame It on the Wind,” offering fans another preview of what promises to be one of the band’s most compelling releases yet.

A Powerhouse Production Team

NIGHTBLOOM was produced by acclaimed hitmaker Howard Benson, whose extensive credits include some of the biggest names in modern rock and metal (My Chemical Romance, Skillet, Daughtry, Halestorm, etc.). Joe Rickard, Neil Sanderson and Henry Flury served as co-producers, while Cameron Pierce Mizell and Evan McKeever provided additional production on “Songbird.”

Heidi Shepherd shares about writing the album,

“A couple of years ago, I found myself in a web of darkness that I couldn’t shake. A vicious cycle of self loathing and doubt, all while my support system did everything in their power to remind me of who I am. I desperately wanted to see in myself what they saw in me. I needed a way to look in the mirror and find love for who was looking back at me. So, I shut off social media, and for the first time in my life, I started therapy.”

“Therapy sent me down a rabbit hole that I didn’t know existed. Over the course of a year, I was flooded with memories of trauma and emotions that I had suppressed. I started to feel that in this overwhelming darkness, these memories needed a way out. So, I started writing. I wrote about my failure of a ‘perfect’ marriage over 20 years ago. I wrote about the stormy canyon road that sent us to divorce. I wrote about watching the love of my life fall in love with someone else in front of me. I wrote about a one-night stand that has haunted me for decades. I wrote about a former boyfriend who took his own life. I wrote about Mormon religion ostracizing me while their members, and my neighbors shamed my family for supporting me. And even more currently, I wrote the abandonment of losing a best friend of 20 years. I wrote about moments that I didn’t realize held so much weight on my heart until we tore that fucker open in therapy.”

“While, reliving and experiencing some of my darkest moments, I started to finally bloom. These songs grew and took on life in the dark. In writing these songs, I was able to turn negative experiences in my life into something positive, which in turn gave these memories a new place to live. Moments that I can look at and think ‘Wow, I survived that. I bloomed in the darkest moments of my life.. My ‘NIGHTBLOOM’.
This new album isn’t about the suffering, it’s about the survival.

These songs were born from memories of heartbreak, uncertainty, betrayal, and pain. But they’re not just about those subjects, they’re more about what grew because of them. This album, ‘NIGHTBLOOM’, is a reminder that not everything beautiful needs perfect sunshine to flourish. Sometimes the most meaningful parts of life begin in the darkest seasons.”

“Writing with purpose. That was the overall theme of this album. Each part, layer, lyric was crafted with purpose and focus. Nothing was unimportant. Every detail was created to tell a story with a singular voice. NIGHTBLOOM is our most important work we’ve ever done in Butcher Babies,” adds Henry Flury.

NIGHTBLOOM showcases Butcher Babies at their most focused and dynamic, combining the band’s signature aggression with soaring melodies and a modern production that pushes their sound forward. The band continue to cement their place among modern metal’s most formidable forces. The new album captures the band’s evolution while retaining the unapologetic energy, commanding vocals, and crushing instrumentation that have defined their career.

“Blame It on the Wind”, the latest single from the album, is already gaining significant momentum at rock radio, including strong support from SiriusXM Octane, building anticipation for the full-length album’s October 2nd release.

Butcher Babies will continue their extensive 2026 world tour with a nationwide U.S. run alongside Chad Gray (Mudvayne, Hellyeah) beginning in late summer and extending into the fall. The band will also appear at Louder Than Life in Kentucky, bringing their high-energy live show to fans across the country. The band’s reputation as a live act has remained one of their defining characteristics, earning them repeat festival appearances and loyal fans worldwide.

Butcher Babies have spent more than a decade carving out their own unmistakable place in heavy music. Formed in 2009 and hailing from Las Vegas, NV, the band has built a reputation on explosive live performances, fearless experimentation, and a sound that refuses to be confined to a single genre. Blending the aggression of thrash and groove metal with soaring melodic hooks, a punk-rock attitude, and an ever-evolving range of influences, Butcher Babies have become a force all their own.

The band made an immediate impact with their 2013 debut, Goliath, introducing audiences to their raw energy and uncompromising approach. They continued to expand their sound through Uncovered (2014), Take It Like a Man (2015), Lilith (2017), and the 2023 double album Eye for an Eye… / …’Til the World’s Blind. Across each release, Butcher Babies have consistently pushed beyond expectations, embracing heavier extremes, anthemic melodies, and increasingly personal and dynamic songwriting.

Now, Butcher Babies are entering their most exciting chapter yet. Their infectious new singles released through Judge & Jury Records offer the first glimpses into a bold new era for the band; one that feels heavier, more focused, more melodic, more vulnerable, and more fearless than ever before. Each new release reveals another side of what Butcher Babies have become, while hinting at what may be the band’s most ambitious and promising record to date.

More than fifteen years into their career, Butcher Babies aren’t interested in repeating the past. They’re still evolving, still taking risks, and still challenging expectations of what this band can be. If their latest material is any indication, the next chapter isn’t simply a continuation of the Butcher Babies story; it’s the beginning of something entirely new.

Drawing inspiration from the crushing weight of Pantera and Slipknot to the genre-bending spirit of No Doubt, the band has never been interested in following a predetermined formula. That versatility has carried Butcher Babies around the world, where their relentless touring and high-octane performances have earned them a fiercely dedicated global fanbase and opportunities to share stages with some of the biggest names in heavy music.

EIVØR Reflects on Love, Loss & Walls Between Us on New Single ‘Verjugarðar / Walls’

Faroese visionary artist Eivør has revealed a new song from her upcoming studio album, Tungl, due out on October 16th this year. The track ‘Verjugarðar / Walls‘ is a triumph in dark cathartic soundscaping. Lyrically it inhabits the realms between lament and a devotional nurturing of hope.

Eivør reflects on the track:

“Verjugarðar / Walls is an epic and dark electronic rock ballad about two people who have lost what once bound them together behind walls of silence.
The paradox is that the walls we build to protect ourselves can also be the very walls that keep us apart.
This is one of those songs that took me a few years to write, but when it suddenly fell into place, I just couldn’t stop singing it.”

Listen to Verjugarðar / Walls here: https://eivor.bfan.link/verjugardar

Pre-order Tungl here: https://eivor.bfan.link/tungl

Tungl will be available in the following formats:

  • CD Jewelcase
  • Digipack – Artist Exclusive
  • 1LP gatefold (crystal clear vinyl)
  • 1LP gatefold (white & black marbled vinyl) – Nuclear Blast & Independent Stores
  • 1LP gatefold (transparent & black marbled vinyl) + 7″ bonus vinyl – Artist Exclusive

Whether you’re already embedded into Eivør’s ever-expanding world or yet to fall under its spell, Tungl is a far-reaching journey of discovery.

Tungl – a Faroese word for ‘moon’ – sees Eivør reach further into elemental realms than ever before. Immersive, unmoored and steeped in a sense of time-stretched drama where familiar marker points give way as an inner compass emerges over its 10 searching tracks, it’s an album also in tune with a very contemporary need for navigation, self-belief and rejuvenation in the most uncertain of times.

For over two decades, Faroese artist Eivør has been regarded as one of the most bewitching and fearless voices to have emerged from the Nordic music scene. Ranging across rock, pop noir, jazz and folk to electronica over the course of 11 solo albums, various collaborations, live albums and soundtrack work including The Last Kingdom, God of War and God of War Ragnarök, her musical path has revealed both a restless, explorative spirit and a singer deeply connected to her Faroese roots, earning her the Nordic Council Music Prize along the way.

It’s testament to the singular yet universal nature of her music that her fanbase has grown to include metalheads and the Norse pagan folk scene – for whom her startling voice, hide drum and throat-chant incantation, Trøllabundin, has become an unofficial anthem – as well as the mainstream, all instinctively understanding that music coming from a place of true authenticity knows no boundaries.

If Eivør’s last album, Enn, marked the beginning of a darker, more atmospheric phase, her forthcoming release, Tungl – the Faroese word for ‘moon’ – and her first for the powerhouse German metal label Nuclear Blast, sees her reach further into elemental realms than ever before. Immersive, unmoored and steeped in a sense of time-stretched drama where familiar marker points give way as an inner compass emerges over its 10 searching tracks, it’s an album also in tune with a very contemporary need for navigation, self-belief and rejuvenation in the most uncertain of times.

As Eivør herself says:

“Tungl explores the ever-changing cycles of life – its songs move between moments of tenderness and heartache, love and loss, and the emotional tides that shape us. Like the moon that inspired its title, Tungl serves as a gentle guide through life’s darker passages, illuminating the beauty, resilience, and transformation found along the way.”

MARC AMACHER’s “Overdrive” Goes to #2 in Swiss Album Charts

MARC AMACHER has stormed into the Swiss album charts at #2 with “Overdrive” (Hoboville). Thank you to Marc and his team! And, of course, thank you to all our media partners who have supported the album’s release from the very beginning and helped make this fantastic success a reality!!!

OVERDRIVE is not a retro blues album. It is a statement. Eleven tracks ranging from earthy blues to modern rock, all underpinned by an uncompromising attitude – like an amplifier on the verge of distortion. Recorded raw, driven by genuine performance and raw energy.

From the opener “Hell Yeah (Here I Am)” to the finale “Ain’t the Man”, the album follows a clear thread: no excuses, no masks – movement as a response, not an escape. “Streets Are Golden” speaks to all those who have fallen but keep going nonetheless, whilst “Cash Smash Boogie” dismantles the myth of money with irony and groove.

A pivotal moment is the duet “You Can’t Beat Time” – two voices in tension, no romance. The realisation remains: time doesn’t play fair. It wins.

OVERDRIVE is not nostalgia. It is the present, raw and gritty – forged in real time, on the street of vitality.

Hardly any Swiss blues musician lives the blues as uncompromisingly as MARC AMACHER. He has been on the road for over two decades. He became known to a wider audience through The Voice of Germany, where he reached the final with his “MARC-edged” voice.

Since then, he has shared the stage with musicians such as Eric Clapton, Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top), Robbie Williams and The BossHoss, without ever losing his own signature style. For Amacher, it’s not about perfection, but about attitude and music that moves you.

Last year, his album LOAD was released, reaching number 1 in the Swiss album charts.

His new album, OVERDRIVE, is being promoted with a roadshow across Switzerland, with the kit firmly mounted on a rolling riser and the show stripped down to the essentials. The band in the van, trailer attached, off we go – rock ’n’ roll. True to the motto: “Let’s do straight-up music for real people.” See you down the road.
