MARC AMACHER’s “Overdrive” Goes to #2 in Swiss Album Charts

MARC AMACHER has stormed into the Swiss album charts at #2 with “Overdrive” (Hoboville). Thank you to Marc and his team! And, of course, thank you to all our media partners who have supported the album’s release from the very beginning and helped make this fantastic success a reality!!!

OVERDRIVE is not a retro blues album. It is a statement. Eleven tracks ranging from earthy blues to modern rock, all underpinned by an uncompromising attitude – like an amplifier on the verge of distortion. Recorded raw, driven by genuine performance and raw energy.

From the opener “Hell Yeah (Here I Am)” to the finale “Ain’t the Man”, the album follows a clear thread: no excuses, no masks – movement as a response, not an escape. “Streets Are Golden” speaks to all those who have fallen but keep going nonetheless, whilst “Cash Smash Boogie” dismantles the myth of money with irony and groove.

A pivotal moment is the duet “You Can’t Beat Time” – two voices in tension, no romance. The realisation remains: time doesn’t play fair. It wins.

OVERDRIVE is not nostalgia. It is the present, raw and gritty – forged in real time, on the street of vitality.

Hardly any Swiss blues musician lives the blues as uncompromisingly as MARC AMACHER. He has been on the road for over two decades. He became known to a wider audience through The Voice of Germany, where he reached the final with his “MARC-edged” voice.

Since then, he has shared the stage with musicians such as Eric Clapton, Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top), Robbie Williams and The BossHoss, without ever losing his own signature style. For Amacher, it’s not about perfection, but about attitude and music that moves you.

Last year, his album LOAD was released, reaching number 1 in the Swiss album charts.

His new album, OVERDRIVE, is being promoted with a roadshow across Switzerland, with the kit firmly mounted on a rolling riser and the show stripped down to the essentials. The band in the van, trailer attached, off we go – rock ’n’ roll. True to the motto: “Let’s do straight-up music for real people.” See you down the road.

Finnish modern death metal metal band Withered Petunia has released a new double single ‘Torn Pages’. The band likes to stretch their musical expression by experimenting a lot with death metal, melodic metal & hardcore. The new single is a two-part piece that explores the impact of drugs on individuals and society. The first part, “Page 1: The Craving,” addresses the topic from an outsider’s perspective, criticizing the user personally, while the second part, “Page 2: The Needle,” explores the user’s perspective on their own situation — namely, society’s reluctance to help individuals suffering from drug problems. The instrumental parts are designed to paint a picture of the topics discussed. The first part is aggressive and chaotic and reflects the way the topic is discussed on a societal level. The second part is darker and more melancholic and describes the user’s personal feelings.

VOLUCRINE Release Final Single & Music Video ‘Borderline’ from Forthcoming Fifth Album

Finnish modern metal band Volucrine are set to release their fifth album ‘Chapter V: Renewal’ via Inverse Records on September 25th 2026. The fourth single and music video ‘Borderline’ is out today and it’s available here: https://push.fm/fl/volucrine-borderline

–Composed & lyrics by Jupe Velin
–ISRC-code: FI3FC2655101
–Single cover by Jupe Velin

The band’s mastermind Jupe Velin comments:

“I originally started Volucrine as a therapeutic project so I could channel my negative feelings into music. It’s been almost eighteen years since then, and when you realize that the emotional gloom hasn’t really gone anywhere over the years, the mood can feel pretty bleak at times. When I was diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago, I was at least able to understand, in a certain way, why school, work, romantic relationships, and friendships have always been so difficult for me. For one reason or another, I’ve always had to pay a heavy price for being different and resort to wearing “masks.” It was from this perspective that I wrote “Borderline.” What is it like when you feel compelled to hide your true self and your psychological symptoms in order to be accepted by others?

This weighty theme provided a whole new opportunity to explore the power of low-tuning and mid-tempo. The song undeniably features subtle influences from Sleep Token and Deftones, which we wanted to highlight through heavy, grinding riffs rather than utilizing the melodic structures typical to Volucrine. We wanted to emphasize feelings of loneliness and alienation by recording the countdown to the launch of an imaginary space shuttle as the song’s intro. We are now heading toward infinite emptiness.

The music video ties together the story begun by the “Golem” single, in which masks are once again a central theme. Eetu Lindgren, a member of our band’s crew and a close friend, plays a man who gets lost in a winter forest while following the call of the masks. If you love “Lynchian” visual storytelling set in the twilight zones, this is for you!”

VOLUCRINE are a Finnish alternative metal collective, who released their debut album in 2011. Four albums, two EP’s and countless live shows later, the band’s personal style has been honed to its peak, still emphasizing bold testing of boundaries within their genre. The band has a strong focus on their lyrics, which, due to their deeply personal nature, give Volucrine’s music a human voice.

After the ETNA LP (Inverse Records 2024), which garnered a lot of positive attention worldwide, the band is finally ready to present new material from their upcoming album, which will be released in the fall. With the theme of rebirth, we can expect the unexpected from this album as a great circle is closed.

BAD WOLVES ARE:
Derek Bolman — Bass
AJ Rebollo — Guitar
Sara “Killboy” Skinner — Vocals
John Boecklin — Drums

Regarding the song, KILLBOY states, “‘Paint It Red’ is about being unafraid to tear everything down and start over — again and again if that’s what it takes. With blood, sweat, and tears, every single time. To live authentically and follow your heart, you have to be willing to rebuild when something no longer serves who you are. You can’t be afraid of change, failure, or starting from scratch. Sometimes growth means letting go of what you’ve built so you can create something even better. ‘Paint It Red’ is about having the courage to burn away what’s holding you back and the strength to begin again.”

Boecklin elaborated, “‘Paint It Red’ is a metaphor for those moments in life when being polite, diplomatic, or even democratic, no longer works. Not all the time. Not often. But there comes a point when enough is enough. There are moments when it’s time to stop asking for permission and start making decisions for yourself. To do what you want to do, regardless of the consequences. Even if it’s the wrong decision, at least it’s yours. Then you live with it. Burn it down. Tear it apart. Cause some chaos if that’s what needs to happen. There’s something freeing about reaching that point — when you know it’s time to sound the alarm and let everyone know to back the fuck off. ‘Paint It Red’ is about taking control, owning your choices, and refusing to let anyone else dictate your path.”

Indeed, art is imitating life on “Paint It Red.”

Stay tuned for a whole lot more from Bad Wolves soon. This only the beginning of their next chapter.

This uncanny fusion of finesse and fire has quietly cemented the Nashville-based band as a multi-platinum powerhouse. Founded by John Boecklin in 2018, the quartet show sno signs of stopping or slowing down, either. Thus far, they have garnered a 3x-Platinum single and two Gold singles in addition to scoring 6 No. 1 entries at radio and gathering billions of streams. Beyond acclaim from Billboard, Outburn, Loudwire, and more, the group has stood out as a presence versatile enough to collaborate with either Daughtry or Ice Nine Kills. Beyond touring with Papa Roach, Volbeat, Hollywood Undead, and more, they have sold out successive headline tours. Welcoming KILLBOY on the microphone in 2026, they blow the hinges off on their next era with the new single “Paint It Red” — with much more to come.

CARBELLION Break the Cage w/ New ‘I Don’t Want to Be Your Dog’ Music Video & Single

Southeastern Wisconsin heavy rock veterans Carbellion have officially unleashed their intense new music video for “I Don’t Want To Be Your Dog”, directed by Kenny Boufadene of Studio Meltdown. Filmed on location at the Dogs 2 Dog Tags charity training facility in Plymouth, Wisconsin, the video delivers a striking visual metaphor for personal liberation, transformation, and breaking away from destructive habits. The song examines the exhaustion that comes with performing for others at the expense of self-respect. Kellenberger confronts the performative expectations often tied to the rock lifestyle, highlighting the exact moment an artist chooses self-preservation over cheap, reckless entertainment.

“I Don’t Want to Be Your Dog” is the first of three music videos from the band’s upcoming full-length album This Is Our Style, which will be released on November 13, 2026 via rock and metal record label Eclipse Records.

Formed in 2004, Carbellion has built a durable legacy across the American underground through relentless touring, clearly raising them to the caliber of legendary acts like Corrosion of Conformity, Monster Magnet, and Clutch. Fresh off the heels of their 2023 album Weapons of Choice (also released via Eclipse Records), this new visual project reinforces why the Wisconsin quintet remains a vital, uncompromising force in modern heavy music.

“We felt that choosing this song as the first single was a great way to introduce the new album to everyone with our up-tempo rock n’ roll style and high energy delivery.” explains vocalist Cameron Kellenberger. “We’ve always liked the training facility at Dogs 2 Dog Tags as it’s a big room with a giant American flag displayed where they train rescued and donated dogs, giving them to veterans diagnosed with PTSD and anxiety. As most know, we herald our self-defined style as American Heavy Rock so it just felt right to be standing directly in front of a giant American flag. Also, filming myself in a manic state inside a dog cage serves as a visual nod to several themes that have long been part of the band’s identity, while also tying metaphorically to the song itself. At a high level, the lyrics explore the idea of outgrowing the need to be the center of attention and entertainment for others through reckless, self-destructive behavior. To reinforce those themes visually, we used dramatic lighting to create deep shadows throughout many of the shots. Kenny from Studio Meltdown then applied heavy, dirt-style filters during the editing process, giving the video a gritty, raw atmosphere that perfectly complements the song’s message and sound.”

Coverart by Chris Schultz

This Is Our Style is the highly-anticipated new full-length album by Southeastern Wisconsin heavy rock veterans Carbellion, and it is set to drop on November 13, 2026. This massive eleven-track collection marks a bold new chapter for the band, delivering their signature blend of desert rock, stoner sludge, and traditional heavy rock. Following up on their acclaimed 2023 release Weapons of Choice through Eclipse Records, the group has spent over two decades forging an original path in the American underground music scene. The album structure consists of ten hard-hitting original compositions alongside a compelling cover of the classic track “Open Up Your Eyes” by alternative rock band Tonic. The first major standout is “I Don’t Want to Be Your Dog,” an introspective track that examines the dark side of the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. The thunderous title track, “This Is Our Style,” serves as an absolute sonic mission statement for the Wisconsin quintet, defining the core identity of the band, celebrating their mutual love for fast hot rods, loud amplification, and the adrenaline rush that comes from pushing both elements to the absolute limit. Finally, the aggressive track “Get Down” acts as a thematic spiritual successor to the song “Barfight” from their previous album, Weapons of Choice (2023, Eclipse Records). This Is Our Style was produced by Carbellion and Chris Djuricic (Nonpoint, Soil, Jungle Rot) at Belle City Sound, and mastered by Andy VanDette (Beastie Boys, Porcupine Tree, Rush) at Evolve Mastering, and the album cover art was created by Chris Schultz. It is scheduled for release on November 13, 2026.
