Inferno Metal Festival Reveals Second Wave of Bands for 2024 Edition

Inferno Metal Festival is now revealing the second wave of bands for its 2024 edition, taking place from March 28-31, 2024 across several venues in Oslo (NO). So far, the iconic festival is revealing a mixture of classic bands as well as some vital and exciting new-comers! The already impressive lineup now includes Carpathian Forest, Cattle Decapitation, Signs of the Swarm, Umbra Conscientia, 200 Stab Wounds and Vomit Forth. More will be announced soon!

In addition, Inferno Metal Festival is now revealing that the Clarion Hotel The Hub is once again the official hotel partner!

The audience, artists, media, and music industry personnel will gather at Clarion The Hub for happenings, partying and a good night sleep.

Moreover, The Inferno Music Conference will take place at the hotel prior to the festival doors opening on Thursday and Friday, for which more info will be revealed soon! The iconic Inferno Metal Festival started in 2001 and is the longest running metal festival in Norway and one of the most important extreme metal festivals in the world. We are very proud of this position and we will continue fronting Norwegian metal and bringing bands from all over the world to Norway. Inferno Metal Festival is being held four days at Rockefeller Music Halls’ two stages Rockefeller and John Dee as well as many smaller clubs around Oslo. The festival takes place during Easter in Norway when not a lot of other stuff is happening in Oslo. The festival are usually sold out and more than fifty percent of the audience are from outside of Norway. French Symphonic Post-Black Metal Project RAZUMIKHIN Signs With Wormholedeath for Reissue of “Self Made Monster” Album

RAZUMIKHIN, the captivating French symphonic post-black metal project inspired by the character from Dostoevsky’s iconic novel Crime and Punishment, has officially signed with Wormholedeath for the reissue of the album “Self Made Monster.” The album is set to be re-released on September 1st, 2023, marking a significant milestone in the band’s career.

The one-man band project driven by a singular artistic vision has quickly gained recognition for its unique blend of atmospheric melodies, orchestral arrangements, and raw black metal energy. Drawing influences from bands such as Solefald, Enslaved, White Ward, Nachtmystium, Lifelover, and Ellende, Razumikhin’s music transcends boundaries and creates an immersive listening experience.

ANDY MARTONGELLI, guitarist of ARTHEMIS and ELLEFSON-SOTO, has unleashed the new facemelting instrumental Metal song titled “ULTRADEAD”, the single and title track from his new solo album, coming out tomorrow, July 21st. “Ultradead” will be available digitally through major online stores, plus available on CD, high quality download, and very limited special merchandising that you will soon get directly from Andy’s Official Web site http://www.andreamartongelli.com , or at the merch table on Andy’s upcoming tour dates!

The 10-track album continues Andy’s on-going evolution with hook-laden melodies, fiery solos, heavy guitar riffs with no compromise. This is built atop a formidable rhythmic foundation laid down by the amazing Paolo Caridi (Ellefson) on drums, Andy himself on Bass guitar on most of the songs except for some very powerful guests as the great David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth, Kings of Thrash, Dieth) playing on “Save Us” and the amazing Giorgio JT Terenziani (Arthemis) playing on the title-track “Ultradead” together with extraordinary Alby Pizy Patuzzo on drums. Andy plays all the keyboards & synth arrangements / orchestrations, electronic loops on the album except for “Colossus” and “Hands of Fury” featuring the talented Enrico Kyoto Marchiotto on keyboards.

“With ‘Ultradead’ I really focused on melody, power, composition and layering in order to ‘say’ something meaningful with my Guitar and let her do the talking. I literally want to ‘tell a timeless story’ to who listens to my Music, so once again, I pushed myself as much as I could and I can tell I’m very proud of how this album flows and sonically screams at the same time…” says Martongelli. “Music has always been very important in my life so the message is always clear, punchy and meaningful. BÜRNER call their music gasoline-fuelled rock with no brakes and with this expression they hit the nail. The three guys from Sweden don’t play stale guitar rock, but groove into R’n’R paradise. Motörhead, AC/DC, Saxon? Admittedly very big names. But you just can’t avoid mentioning those bands while describing BÜRNER. Their music sounds like a spontaneous casual jam, bursting with energy. Finnish progressive metallers DAMNATION PLAN have released third single ‘Dreamdead’ off their new upcoming album ‘The New Horizon’. The new single represents a more straightforward metal side of the new album than the previously released 8 minute progressive epics ‘The New Horizon’ and ‘Under The Veil Of Sea’.

Guitarist / songwriter Kalle Niininen comments:
“Dreamdead was one of the first new songs we came up for the new album. It got its form by us exploring a little bit lower tunings than usual for this album. The song got its final heavier feel after we introduced the theme riff with its slower drum beat. The chorus is classic Damnation Plan.”

Single / lyricist Asim Searah comments:
“When a soul goes deep into oblivion with sadness and despair, one gets into a state of mind which is hard to fathom. It’s like a constant battle of belief in hope if you keep failing. Dreamdead resolves around such theme and reflects on constant failures in life that make one become hopeless and miserable.”
