July 7, 2023 sees Swedish thrash/death metal force, BLACKSCAPE, release their much-awaited debut album titled Suffocated By The Sun. The band’s first full-length offering will be released as CD Digipak, ltd. Vinyl LP and Digital formats via Massacre Records, the pre-sale is available HERE!
Following a previously-released, first single – the blistering album title track – today, BLACKSCAPE are premiering a video clip for the epic thrash metal banger “Bow To Me“! Says the band about the song, that is inspired by the movie ‘Life Of Brian’: “When you finally see through the layers of lies your life has been built on and break free, only to realize that your new reality isn’t a brighter place and the lies never seem to end.”
Formed in 2018, the trio has its past in numerous bands such as Darkane, STASS, F.K.Ü, The Project Hate. Their fupcoming debut will sum up everything BLACKSCAPE stands for: Suffocated By The Sun is chock full of heavy riffage with a mix of thrash and death metal, that will lure you in with its melodies of majesty and finish you off in a violent metallic assault. With their latest single “Everything” currently hitting radio worldwide, GRAMMY® Award-nominated SEVENDUST is releasing another piece of music for fans. “Holy Water” is the new song being released from Truth Killer – the band’s 14th studio album slated for worldwide release on July 28 via Napalm Records.
“Holy Water” is an upbeat rocker that is now available via all digital service providers. The band – Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, John Connolly, Vince Hornsby and Morgan Rose – have filmed a music video that captures the same passion that SEVENDUST delivers with their unforgettable live performances. The video is the second clip directed by J.T. Ibanez (P.O.D., Loveless, Orianthi) for the Truth Killer release.
From the introspective opening of “I Might Let The Devil Win” to the classic SEVENDUST sound of “Fence,” the twelve songs on Truth Killer demonstrate that the band sounds as relevant today as they did on their 1997 self-titled debut. “Truth Killer,” “No Revolution” and “Holy Water” combine elements of the classic SEVENDUST sound with modern updates, pointing their lyrical lens at the world today and showcasing the musical diversity that has won the band a legion of loyal fans. The first song released was the album closer, “Fence,” accompanied by a claymation music video directed and animated by Ollie Jones.
The band also released a music video for “Everything” – the first official single from Truth Killer – that was directed by J.T. Ibanez and can be seen here. Producer, friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette returned to produce Truth Killer.

With a reputation as being one of the best live bands and recently making headlines as the band you “don’t ever, ever, ever want to go on after,” SEVENDUST is getting ready to begin a long run of tour dates to support Truth Killer. Fans have eagerly waited for what seems like an eternity, but now, the time has finally come to unveil the new singer of OOMPH! Founding members CR4P and FLUX took all the time they needed to find their fitting third band member, and DER SCHULZ is just that person – combining everything the band has always been known for. From day one, the band searched for a third member who would not just act as a new singer, but who would embody each aspect and process of the band. With DER SCHULZ (known from the band Unzucht), who was involved in the creative aspects and songwriting process on the new album, the band successfully fulfilled their first lineup change in their 34 years of existence.
Today, the band is also thrilled to announce their first studio album featuring the new lineup. Kickstarting the new era of OOMPH!, Richter und Henker (Judge & Executioner) will be released on September 8, 2023 via Napalm Records. The 14th studio album from the legendary Neue Deutsche Härte band, who have influenced the entire genre in their time, was once again produced and recorded by the band themselves and combines all of their beloved, established trademarks while strongly looking forward to the future. The first new track and video is set to be released on July 11, 2023.
CR4P and FLUX about the band’s new singer: “DER SCHULZ was always our first choice. Since we have known and appreciated each other for a long time, he was the first singer we approached. Of course, we also met with many other promising applicants in our studio and tried out the collaboration. In the end, DER SCHULZ convinced us because he manages to revive the feeling of the old OOMPH! songs and we harmonize extremely well on a human and creative level. He is a strong songwriter and lyricist and has the exact charisma, presence and character we were looking for. We had the right feeling all the way from the start!”

Richter und Henker clearly proves that OOMPH! return stronger than before with their new lineup, charging straight forward! Album opener “Wem Die Stunde Schlägt” (en: For Whom The Bell Tolls) makes an immediate statement, propelled by a hefty dose of industrial metal. Turning heads since the release of their 2020 acclaimed debut ep ‘Take Back Tomorrow’ (produced by Toby Jepson), Scottish rock band She Burns Red are finally ready to release their highly anticipated debut album following a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign which saw them smash their target within 48 hours of launch.
Titled ‘Out of Darkness’, the upcoming album demonstrates why they are the “truth” when it comes to gritty feral infused slabs of hard crunching rhythms and standard flying rock anthems. Riffs go wild, melodies are plentiful and make no mistake, She Burns Red are ready made game changers with their first studio long player.

The band has good reason for such optimism in what are ever changing and challenging times for music artists and bands. Vocalist/bassist James McCulloch was almost paralysed having suffered from Cauda Equina Syndrome in 2017 which was followed by bandmate Andy Moore (vocalist/guitarist) needing to have a brain operation in 2019 (“it made sense why he was in constant pain and almost passed out at every gig when he was singing.” says McCulloch). With the pandemic and lockdowns of 2020/2021, and changes in the group line up, for a lot of bands this might have spelled the end of the road. However, with the addition of guitarist Naz Scanferlato and drummer Scott Hanlon (ex Anchor Lane), McCulloch and Moore knew they had something extra special and needed to pursue their ambitions. Which leads us nicely to the new album…
‘Out Of Darkness’ is a guitar rock album that sits comfortably between melody and heaviness without getting lost in complex sonics and confusing musicalities. Each song is served as it should be, with conviction, truth and real meaning. Listeners can anticipate a dynamic experience from She Burns Red on this new album. From hard-hitting guitar riffs and intense drum beats to more melodic sections featuring haunting vocals and atmospheric soundscapes, the group has a canny ability to craft powerful lyrics that strike a chord with music fans. After several years of hard work as an independent band and two singles released in the past few weeks, REBELS UNDER RAIN are now ready to launch their debut album entitled “One King Forever”. The record is distributed by Volcano Records & Promotion and put together a wide range of different influences that go from alternative to metal to modern punk.
REBELS UNDER RAIN define themselves as a pure rock band and talking about the title of the album they said “it’s a tribute to our former member Stefano Cordì who passed away when he was only 30 years old. Like a glowing beam, Stefano showed us the path to follow, thus changing once and for all our approach to music, our style and our sound.”

After hinting at the upcoming album with the super-catchy “I’ve Got A Feelin'”, Sweden’s groove rockers ELECTRIC BOYS are back with a real party starter, “Domestic Blitz”. This time, punk has kicked funk’s ass, with a hard driving beat and a loud, slap-them-in-the-face riff. It’s the perfect foundation for Conny’s message:
“You know the feeling, when you’re dying to get out of the house and pop some ice cold beers and listen to some loud rock’n’roll?”, singer Conny Bloom says.

Formed in Stockholm in 1988, Electric Boys is a band with roots in 70s groove rock and 60s pop and psychedelia. Their critically acclaimed debut album, “Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride” was produced by Bob Rock (Metallica, Bon Jovi, The Cult, Mötley Crüe) and spawned the self-produced Billboard Top 20 single, “All Lips ‘N’ Hips” that got them heavy rotation on MTV.
After extensive touring, the band entered legendary studio Abbey Road to record the follow-up “Groovus Maximus”, which gave the band another Billboard Top 30 single with the song, “Mary In The Mystery World”. The third album “Freewheelin'” (also recorded in Abbey Road) peaked at #16 on the Official Swedish Album Chart before the band called it a day in 1994.
Guitarist and lead singer, Conny Bloom went solo until he, as well as bassist Andy Christell, joined the legendary Hanoi Rocks in 2005. In 2009 they began the process of reuniting the Electric Boys. They released the album “And Them Boys Done Swang” in 2011 and the critically acclaimed favorite “Starflight United” in 2014.
In 2018 the return to studio albums finally happened, with “The Ghost Ward Diaries”, a record that not only topped the charts in Sweden and Denmark but also brought back the distinctive sound of Electric Boys to their countless fans and new listeners. Roughly three years after, “Ups!de Down”, written already under lockdown, repeated the success but brought a broader array of songs.
