CONQUER DIVIDE — the international five-piece band hailing from the U.S., U.K., and Canada who have generated accolades from SXM Octane, Revolver, Alternative Press, Modern Drummer, Loudwire, and more — have just announced their new album. Slow Burn will arrive September 8 via Mascot Records. Pre-order it here. https://lnk.to/ConquerDivide

The band — vocalist Kiarely Taylor, bassist/vocalist Janel Duarte, guitarist Isabel Johnson, drummer Samantha Landa, and guitarist Kristen Sturgis— has also shared the video for new single “welcome2paradise.” And it lets out a thunderous roar. Watch it below.

“This song is special to all of us for a lot of reasons,” says Sturgis. “We really wanted to stretch our musical muscles and play around with time signatures. We recorded some of the production ourselves, including drilling sounds you’ll hear sprinkled throughout the song. Artistically, we really stepped out of our comfort zone and we ended up with something really special.”

The song also takes a close look at a very important topical issue.

“It’s sad that humans don’t care about our environment,” Sturgis continues. “I was especially inspired by a situation close to my heart. I live on the Great Lakes, which contain 20% of the earth’s freshwater. There is a 70-year-old pipeline called Line 5 that is in very rough shape and runs through the water where Lake Huron and Lake Michigan meet. The current is especially turbulent there. The pipeline keeps getting hit by boat anchors. I am not here to preach anti-fossil fuels, as electric vehicles come with their own environmental tolls, and touring bands have to drive gas-guzzling vehicles to play for our fans. But if a spill happened in that spot, it’s in the worst possible place, due to the strong currents. A Great Lakes spill could affect major cities like Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Windsor, Toronto, and Rochester, NY. Tourism, fishing industries, and boating would all be affected. And with all of the droughts happening around the U.S., it’s going to be everyone’s problem soon. Right now, there’s just one small local organization trying to draw attention to it, but If I can do anything with this song release, it would be to shine a spotlight on something I care so much about.”

Landing on the Billboard charts, the band’s 2015 self-titled debut racked up more than 30 million streams, driven by powerful tracks like the Kerrang! Awards Best Song nominee “At War.” After a hiatus, CONQUER DIVIDE reemerged on the scene with the heavy and anthemic “Chemicals” in 2020, which Alternative Press called a “contender for best hard rock/metalcore crossover of the year.”

The following year, “Messy” became the No. 1 Most Added on Billboard’s Hard Rock Indicator Chart. Described by Rock Sound as a “monster” track “designed for arenas,” “Paralyzed” offered the first taste of CONQUER DIVIDE’s long-awaited sophomore album. Inspired by guitarist Kristen Sturgis’ “harrowing experiences as a nurse amid the pandemic” (Revolver Magazine), the emotional and vulnerable “Paralyzed” was nominated by Metal Hammer for Best Metal Song of 2022. “FCKBOI,” a collaboration with Electric Callboy, has been streamed over 13 million times on Spotify alone. They’ve had multiple singles on SXM Octane and were featured in the Next Wave Concert Series.

Slow Burn ushers in a new era for CONQUER DIVIDE, one defined by breathtaking sonic refinement, intensely personal lyrical storytelling, and a seamless balance between hard-hitting modern metal and irresistible melody. Slow Burn is stacked with confessional expressions of vulnerability, frustration, and, ultimately, hope. Each song on Slow Burn summons forth brand new levels of catharsis.

WINTERSTORM Share Epic, New Song ‘The Phoenix Died (Remember)’ from Upcoming Album

“Perfect” in time for a hot summer, on July 14, 2023, power metal act WINTERSTORM will release their upcoming, fifth studio album, entitled “Everfrost”, via AFM Records. It’s their first offering since 2016.

As the “Winter” stands for nordic viking and folk metal, the “Storm” for fast-paced power metal, combined with epic and orchestral metal facettes, WINTERSTORM shines in a new splendor as first album single releases have already proved. Following “To The End Of All Known” and just recently, a music video for their latest single “Future Times”, today, WINTERSTORM are proudly presenting us “The Phoenix Died (Remember)!

“‘Remember’ reminds us that we should remember our past in order to learn for the future,” the band comments. “The text urges us to use our resources responsibly and to provide for future generations. In this context, one could also think of the sinking of Atlantis.”

It’s the melodic grandeur, that clearly marks the foreground of WINTERSTORM, reflected in heavily catchy choruses and colossal, polyphonic vocals. Striking elements of different metal styles merge with each other and get a completely new impression, that WINTERSTORM’s forthcoming record may be their most versatile and powerful album to date; one that does not have to hide behind proved genre colleagues such as Blind Guardian or Rhapsody Of Fire.

“Everfrost” will be coming out as CD Digipak, limited clear blue Vinyl and Boxset on July 14, 2023 via AFM Records, the pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION!

“Everfrost” track listing:

  1. Origin
  2. To The End Of All Known
  3. The Phoenix Died (Remember)
  4. Circle Of Greed
  5. Future Times
  6. Everfrost
  7. Final Journey
  8. Fate Of The Atlanteans
  9. Crusade
  10. Overcome The Fear
  11. Silence

LIV KRISTINE Releases Official Video ‘River Of Diamonds’ Feat. Fernando Ribeiro

Liv Kristine presents the official video for “River Of Diamonds” (feat. Fernando Ribeiro), the title track of the new studio album which was released on 21.04. by Metalville Records.

Fernando Ribeiro, singer of the Portuguese cult band “Moonspell”, takes the song to a new, magical level as a duet partner of Liv Kristine. The catchy melody, carried by two of the greatest voices of the Gothic Metal scene, succeeds in captivating its listeners right from the first bars.

Liv Kristine about the “River Of Diamond” video: “I’ve know Fernando since touring together in 1996. Through the years he’s been a great, supportive friend and inspiration to me. It’s an honor having Fernando as my duet partner on “River of Diamonds”. Moreover, for the making of this clip, he had some brilliant ideas which I completed with the superb help from my dear husband, Michael. The clip was filmed in Portugal and Switzerland and edited in Cyprus by our creative friend Andreas/Dark Star Vid. Prod.”

„River Of Diamonds”, the sixth solo album by the queen of Scandinavian Gothic Metal, continues on the path set by the EP “Have Courage Dear Heart” ( 2021), which received great international acclaim.

All tracks on the new album were composed by Liv’s long-time friend Tommy Olsson (Theatre of Tragedy, Long Night) at his Black Rider Records studio in Tau, near Liv Kristine’s birthplace of Stavanger in Norway. .

Carefully spending time with the compositions that kept coming out of Tommy’s studio in 2021 and 2022 felt just right, like a yin-yang experience: music & pre-mix (Tommy O.), own lyrics and melodies, the finishing touches (mix & master by Eroc) and visuals (photos by M. Rohbach) merged into exactly the album Liv Kristine had passionately longed for.

“Each song follows a path of strong authenticity and unbound creativity, which is my innermost and first criterion since “Theatre Of Tragedy” (1995), “Deus Ex Machina” (1998) and “Lovelorn” (Leaves’ Eyes). The lifeline that flows through all twelve compositions unveils a heart-based personal path, a sense of deeper truth and a soul vision of pure bliss consciousness – an eternal river of diamonds.” (Liv Kristine)

TOUR DATES
19.08. Torgau – Stella Nomine Festival
08.09. Siegburg – Kubana
09.09. Mannheim – MS Connexion Complex

With excitement brewing after the release of their teaser track, “Fence”, GRAMMY® Award-nominated SEVENDUST are back with “Everything”, the debut single from Truth Killer. The song is the second piece of music from their 14th studio album, slated for worldwide release on July 28 via Napalm Records.

The band – Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, John Connolly, Vince Hornsby and Morgan Rose – have filmed a performance music video that also brings the hypnotic album cover to life. The video was directed by J.T. Ibanez (P.O.D., Loveless, Orianthi).

From the introspective opening of “I Might Let The Devil Win” to the classic SEVENDUST sound of “Fence,” the twelve songs on Truth Killer demonstrate that the band sounds as relevant today as they did on their 1997 self-titled debut. “Truth Killer,” “Everything” and “Holy Water” combine elements of the classic SEVENDUST sound with modern updates, pointing their lyrical lens at the world today and showcasing the musical diversity that has won the band a legion of loyal fans. The first song released was the album closer, “Fence,” accompanied by a claymation music video directed and animated by Ollie Jones.

Truth Killer was produced by producer, friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette.

7. Holy Water
8. Leave Hell Behind
9. Superficial Drug
10. Messenger

SEVENDUST never follow a linear path. Instead, they continue to bulldoze a lane of their own with a proven one-two punch of rumbling grooves, unpredictable riffing, and stirringly soulful vocals unlike anything else in hard rock. As a result, their music connects straight to the heart as evidenced by their full-contact live shows and diehard “family” of fans. It’s why they’ve been around since 1994, tallied global sales of seven million, logged three gold-selling albums, delivered three Top 15 debuts on the Billboard 200, and garnered a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Metal Performance.” 2021 saw them deliver one of the most-acclaimed albums of their career – their thirteenth studio masterpiece – Blood & Stone, which Metal Hammer christened “Sevendust’s best work in years.” However, the Atlanta quintet—Lajon Witherspoon [lead vocals], Clint Lowery [lead guitar, backing vocals], John Connolly [rhythm guitar, backing vocals], Vince Hornsby [bass], and Morgan Rose [drums]—defy expectations yet again on their fourteenth full-length and debut for Napalm Records, Truth Killer, produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette [Alter Bridge, Trivium, Slash]. Ultimately, Truth Killer reaffirms there’s only one SEVENDUST—and they’re here forever.

Fantastic modern metal quartet THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON have revealed the second original song of their catalog to date, the beautiful “New Horizons”, just in time for the release of their enchanting debut album, Metamorphosis, out tomorrow, May 12, 2023. In addition, the track release aligns with the band’s first live show ever, supporting Feuerschwanz and Warkings.

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON have already received impressive attention during their short existence, with the music video for the band’s first ever original song, “The Gates Of Time”, racking up 500k views on YouTube to date, and the cover of Game Of Thrones track “Jenny Of Oldstones”, as well as Lord of the Rings soundtrack song “May It Be”, gaining more than a million streams and video views combined.

On “New Horizons”, the four-piece consisting of highly skilled musicians from Feuerschwanz, Amaranthe and Ad Infinitum are joined by Fabienne Erni of Eluveitie. The phenomenal voices of Melissa Bonny and Fabienne Erni compliment each other, and the spectacular performance music video leads the listener into a dreamy fantasy world.

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON on “New Horizons”:
“Finally, the time has come, we are about to release our debut album! And to celebrate this, there is a new video.. It’s the second self-written song you’ll hear from us, and as a guest we have the fantastic Fabienne Erni from Eluveitie – a very special honor for us!”

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON started with a bet between Ad Infinitum singer Melissa Bonny and Hans Platz, the guitarist of Feuerschwanz. Whoever lost owed the other a “dare”. Hans won and challenged Melissa to record a metal version of their first ever single “Jenny Of Oldstones”, and the rest is history! Exploring the fantastical lives of famous pop culture heroes since their childhood, the multitalented musicians transform soundtracks of worldwide known movies, TV shows and video games into powerful metal tracks on the debut album Metamorphosis.

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON don’t just limit themselves to cover versions, but also include new, original songs dedicated to their favorite warriors. Marching into the great worlds of Lord of the Rings, the band paints the Grammy-nominated soundtrack “May It Be”, featuring Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain), in a new light, while the mystic song “Misty Mountains” (feat. Evergrey’s Tom S. Englund) of The Hobbit film trilogy underlines the tragic story through melodic folk vocal lines and rousing guitar riff choirs.

Like the seven untamed seas, the melodies appear in energetic and rousing waves, while others head towards the shore in an exciting, elegant and soulful rhythm. Exploring the untouched sides of these multifaceted selected songs, the multinational band shifts world famous soundscapes into new adventures, taking listeners back to forgotten times. Just like the moon, every song has an unexplored side, now discovered by THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.
