The accompanying official music video lets their rock n roll superpowers loose – get ready to rock out with ROADWOLF, the masters of heavy metal!

ROADWOLF on “Supernatural”:
“Deliver yourself to the infectious tunes of our new song and make yourself comfortable. At the same time, you get hypnotized by the pounding rhythm of the music. Under the influence of a new moon rising, you shall worship ‘Supernatural’ – the new single of the upcoming album Midnight Lightning.”

ROADWOLF sold their souls to traditional Heavy Metal – showcased on title track “Midnight Lightning”, which brings out their power with soaring vocals and scorching guitar solos, reminiscent of Judas Priest. “Mark of the Devil” presents the band’s songwriting abilities, with multiple Iron Maiden-inspired solos and dynamic changes throughout the track. “High Under Pressure” races along with a blistering pace that is further enhanced with great dueling guitar and saxophone solos. “Sons Of The Golden Horde” showcases another powerful song with lyrics of historic wars, reminiscent of Iron Maiden’s great historical anthems. “Don’t Deliver Us From Evil” uplifts with pure energy and catchy choruses that will have the whole crowd singing along. ROADWOLF keeps on rolling with another grooving track in “Running Out Of Time”. Bringing out their Motörhead influence on “Savage Child”, the song showcases the band’s speed metal skills, as well as catchy choruses with small alterations to keep it interesting with each repeat. Last but not least, the album concludes with the slow but beautiful ballad “Isolated Hearts”, featuring clean guitar reverb and soft piano underscoring powerful vocals singing of fading hearts in the face of warfare. The band ́s founder Demonaz stated about the second single ‘Wargod‘:
“Wargod is the heaviest song on the album. I thought it was about time to give the fans a track in the «Tyrants» again. Celtic Frost’s album “To Mega Therion” from 1986 was an inspiration to me this time. Some of it’s classic tracks had heavy opening riffs that developed into fast devastating fury and tempo. I wanted to capture that feeling again, the Immortal way. When i moved to the mountains In 2019 I went through some of my old material and unused lyrics. Wargod was one of them. The title, lyric and song ideas were originally from the early nineties, and now finally Immortalized on the album.”

IMMORTAL, from the Norwegian town Bergen, was formed by Demonaz and Abbath in 1990. The band established themselves early as one of the most important black metal bands in the world. The band released their first three albums, Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism, Pure Holocaust and Battles In The North during the years 1992-1995. These records defined the musical style the band became infamous for.

The band then released the Blizzard Beasts album in (1997) At The Heart Of Winter (1999), Damned In Black (2000) and Sons Of Northern Darkness (2002).

In 2003 the band was put on ice, but returned to the stage in 2007 and completed several headline appearances and tours across Australia, New Zealand and the USA. All Shall Fallwas released in 2009, followed by further massive festival shows and additional concerts. In 2018, IMMORTAL returned with Demonaz performing on guitar once again, also fronting the band as vocalist, releasing their 9th studio album, Northern Chaos Gods, which was very well received by both fans and global press.

Come 2023, IMMORTAL sees Demonaz releasing War Against All, the band´s 10th studio album. The record has been composed and performed by Demonaz, featuring some session members, like in earlier recordings. The album was produced by Arve Isdal, and recorded at Conclave & Earshot Studio in Bergen, Norway by Herbrand Larsen and Arve Isdal. The album was mastered by Iver Sandøy at Solslottet.

After the very recent release of their latest and highly-acclaimed fifth studio album, Sweet Poison, in October, as well as their subsequent tour, the relentless rockers of THE NEW ROSES aren’t about to slow down! The band is proud to announce the extension of their worldwide contract with Napalm Records – continuing their impressive success story!

THE NEW ROSES on their contract extension:
“After already releasing 4 albums together, we are happy about the extension of our partnership with Napalm Recordsand are glad to have such an experienced and reliable partner at our side, now and in the future. Especially in times of many changes in the music business, it is important for us to work with a globally networked label that has the necessary skills to adapt to and take advantage of new market conditions and technical innovations. We are looking forward to the continuation of our partnership and further joint successes!”

Napalm Records managing director Thomas Caser adds:
“It gives me and Napalm Records great pleasure to continue down the road with THE NEW ROSES. Together we will push the international expansion of THE NEW ROSES and make it one of the most exciting rock acts in the world!”

In more exciting news, THE NEW ROSES are thrilled to announce the return of guitarist Norman Bites! Up until 2019, Norman and the band toured the world together – playing at shows from Europe to Miami and even in Afghanistan, but then, at the beginning of 2020, it was suddenly over. Norman first experienced a several-month hiatus due to a cervical spine injury. Then, after a career change due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, he realized intensive touring would be impossible with his new position, and was forced to finally announce his departure from the band in 2021. Founding member Dizzy Daniels, who had filled in for him in 2020, became a permanent member of the band again. Norman Bites concentrated on his job from then on, and was active in various studio projects, as well as his own solo project, Thunder/Bites, in addition to his home office work.

Now that the pandemic is fading, THE NEW ROSES announce the return of the guitarist. Singer Timmy Rough will concentrate on vocals, and Norman Bites and Dizzy Daniels will share guitar duties from now on. Norman Bites will already be back on stage with the band for the upcoming second leg of the Sweet Poison German Tour, which starts on April 22. Rehearsals are already in full swing and THE NEW ROSES are happy to be back on stage together again. Norman’s return will give the live program an additional drive, and fans can look forward to an energetic Rock`n Roll show!

Their latest album, Sweet Poison, opens with the guitar-driven anthem “My Kinda Crazy,” which kicks off the album in a worthy manner. In addition to rousing anthems, Sweet Poison features authentically rocking Americana tracks like “Playing With Fire” and “Sweet Gloria.”“Warpaint” is undoubtedly a massive track in which the band unleashes its intangible energy with hard guitar riffs and powerful drums, while “The Usual Suspects” and “1st Time For Everything” impress with their catchy choruses. Tracks like “Dead Of Night” build on a distinct melody and develop into strong stadium rock anthems. With songs like “All I Ever Needed”, THE NEW ROSES also show their softer side. The strong mid-tempo rock ballad revives the atmosphere of Guns N’ Roses’ moving ballads, while frontman Timmy Rough passionately presents the full range of his voice, which can also be heard impressively on the touching acoustic track “True Love“.

Sweet Poison is an outstanding rock album with an impressive hit density, seeing the band outdo themselves again and again, reviving true 80s rock. Hold on tight, because THE NEW ROSES shift up a gear and take you on a journey to the horizon of American rock grandeur!

Timmy Rough on the new album:
“When we recorded Sweet Poison, we took all the bad vibes, all our struggles and disappointments of the last two years and turned them into this incredibly positive, high energy Rock ‘n’ Roll album. We don’t bitch at all, we wanna move forward and take our audience along with us. We stayed on our musical path, in fact I’d say we even went back closer to our roots and added some more of our Blues and Southern spirit while still keeping the catchy melodies of our last records. But hey, talk is cheap, so turn it up and have some fun!“

Finnish Helsinki-based progressive melodic rock band DARKNESS IS MY CANVAS released the first single ‘Fade Into The White Noise’ from their upcoming EP ‘White Noise’ which is set to be released later in 2023 via Inverse Records.

The band comments the single:
“Of our singles, FITWN has been the most demanding one arrangement-wise. We’ve been playing this song since the summer of 2022, testing different versions on our gigs to see how the audience reacts to them. The chorus has been practically the same, but many hours have been poured into the lyrics, vocals, and instruments to make them just right.

Story-wise, FITWN represents the typical Darkness Is My Canvas, where the storyteller brings out his own interpretation of things that can be seen in many different ways. Dealing with topics of mental health, as many of our songs do, the lyrics are basically pretty straightforward. The audience loves it, so we decided to select that as the opening song and track of our EP.

We want to make our songs relatable, which means we try to make them so that both the melody and the lyrics have a strong pull. We think this song has just that. It’s also timeless and bears listening many times over.”

Joni Kantoniemi, A&R Inverse records: “What impressed us the most with DIMC was that their stuff is extremely well put together and that these guys sound as good live as they do in the studio. We are thrilled as to the possibilities of our partnership.”

Darkness Is My Canvas (DIMC) was founded in Helsinki in 2017. The band plays melodic rock combined with progressive elements, stylistically influenced by bands such as Muse, Queen, Pink Floyd, Leprous, and on occasion also Porcupine Tree and My Chemical Romance. Their catchy melodies have many musical hooks, and the band likes to throw curve balls at the audience by changing time and style mid-song – and they do this completely intentionally. The imaginative sound of DIMC wells up from the melody-rich guitar playing of Panu and the voice of Pete, who, some say, sounds like the young David Bowie.

All the songs of DIMC come from the mind and pen of Pete and Panu, who are also the “founding fathers” of the band. They also play all the other instruments in the studio beside the drums, which are trusted to some of the top drummers in Finland. The mastering is done by none other than Grammy Award winner Nicolas Fournier (LA) who’s had his hands on many recordings by many of the band’s idols (Muse, Linkin Park, Adam Lambert, etc.).

DIMC was founded on what was left from the previous band of multi-instrumentalist Panu and lead singer/guitarist Pete. It was called May:Day, and it represented some sort of an amalgamation of Finnish progressive rock of the 70s and more modern Finnish rock music. Should someone want to listen to their album “I”, they will find it by digging through the Internet, as it has not been officially released. DIMC needed to distinguish themselves from the previous band as they changed their language from Finnish to English and their style became more nuanced.

To date, DIMC has released one EP called “Monsters” and one single called “The Game”. Their songs have been downloaded quite nicely from streaming services such as Spotify, in which the counter reached 20 000 this March.

Darkness Is My Canvas Are:
Panu Pentikäinen – guitar, vocals
Pete Erkintalo – vocals, guitar
Gabriel Schneider – bass
Juuso Grönmark – drums
