Worth was founded in 2014 by five women with a passion for creating melodic metal sounds. After several lineup changes, they released their debut album “The Essence Of Life” in 2018, showcasing their unique blend of melodic death metal and doom influences. The album received positive reviews and set the stage for the band’s current lineup, consisting of Gloria Falgueras on guitars, Cri Jill on vocals, Stevie Gamester on drums, and Francesca Missori on bass.
After the departure of two original members, Worth continued to work on their sound and vision, resulting in the creation of their upcoming self-titled album. With influences from bands like Be’lakor, Insomnium, and Dark Tranquillity, “WORTH” promises to be a powerful and captivating release.
The album was recorded at Titanslab Studio and produced by the band themselves. The self-titled “WORTH” features 14 tracks of melodic death metal, each with its own unique sound and energy. The album is set to be a milestone in the band’s career and is sure to impress both existing fans and new listeners alike.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Wormholedeath Records and to release our second album through such a professional and dedicated label,” said the band. “We put a lot of hard work and passion into this album, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”
The song “Sunglasses” is the first result of a unique collaboration between the legendary HARPO and the young glam rock band VELVET INSANE. This work is the definition of a summer anthem with its irresistible melodies that settle in after the first listen. The single will be released on all digital platforms on Friday the 21st of April.
BACKGROUND The glam rock band Velvet Insane made contact with Harpo as the band liked his glam rock songs, such as “My Teenage Queen”, “Moviestar” and “Baby Boomerang”, from Harpo’s early 70s records. Harpo liked what he heard from Velvet Insane, like the band’s energy and vision, so the contact quickly resulted in recordings and planning a glam rock summer tour. A unique collaboration where the musicians meet across generations in the love of music, the joy of creating and the joy of playing live together. The goal is that the audience will feel the same and that everyone – young and old – will unite in the power of the music.
SUNGLASSES – THE SUMMER ANTHEM OF THE YEAR A glam rock song that tastes 70s with irresistible pop melodies for many summers to come. A chorus that will stick like an old gum under your Converse. What more could be asked for from a really lovely summer hit? This single is the first result of the recent collaboration between Velvet Insane and Harpo, recorded by Tomas Skogsberg himself in his legendary Sunlight Studios, during a few hot days last summer.

ABOUT GOZU: This is Gozu‘s world, we’re just living in it. Given that it has been five years since the Boston quartet dropped the monstrous Equilibrium, returning with Remedy is one hell of a way to make sure that everyone – whether previously familiar with them or otherwise – realizes that they are perhaps the most badass of American rock bands, for they have taken everything to the next level.
“There is a certain maturity mixed with a childlike enthusiasm to play music, and we all are better players now than on Equilibrium,” says vocalist/guitarist Marc Gaffney. “We have all really tried to look at what we enjoy but more what we do not enjoy. Playing music is a gift and when it becomes A Nightmare on Elm St Part 37.3, you are done.” The result is nine tracks of their signature combination of fuzzy, ’70s-inspired riffs, rich, catchy, grunge-esque vocal melodies and a touch of old school trippy psychedelia written and played with the utmost passion and enthusiasm, eclipsing everything else in their catalogue. “The band wanted a very heavy groove-oriented album with singalong choruses. We also wanted sonically to hit you in the chest, like a three-combination, left-right-left, like Micky Ward. Harmonies and melodies were something we really looked at and wanted to shine, and thick guitar tones, driving bass and drums were under the microscope.“
One element that gave the band a kick in the pants going into Remedy was drummer Seth Botos joining Gaffney, guitarist Doug Sherman and bassist Joe Grotto. “Seth brings such an impeccable work ethic and freshness to the band that it was infectious. He is the breath of delicious fresh air the three old men needed. He reminds us of a young Kevin Bacon/Wayne Rooney.” Auditioning drummers ate up some of the time elapsed between records but like for so many bands the biggest obstacle was COVID, which slowed down the whole process.
Recording with honorary fifth member of Gozu, producer/engineer Dean Baltulonis (Death Ray Vision, The Hope Conspiracy) at Wild Arctic studios in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, sessions were unlike any that the band had previously experienced. Botos laid his drums down in just a day-and-a-half, taking all suggestions his bandmates had and putting his signature spin on them, echoing the fact that they were all invested in the process more than ever before.
The band obviously hopes to tour the record after so long off the road, and they would love the opportunity to share the stage with bands they admire. When asked what other unfulfilled goals they have at this juncture, Gaffney answers without hesitation: “To always improve, write better, play better, enjoy everything that we are offered and take advantage of it. I feel we are always setting goals for ourselves so we are not stagnant or believe we can’t do more. The goal should always be to have fun, kill it and let the music set people free. The minute we stop setting goals and challenges for ourselves is the minute we have failed.“

Death thrash force DIETH – featuring Grammy Award winning bassist David Ellefson, Swedish Grammy nominated guitarist/vocalist Guilherme Miranda (ex-Entombed A.D.) and drummer Michał Łysejko (ex-Decapitated) – recently announced their upcoming full-length debut, To Hell And Back, out June 2, 2023 via Napalm Records. Today, the band returns for revenge with the blistering new burner “Don’t Get Mad … Get Even!”.
The anthemic “Don’t Get Mad … Get Even!” will have listeners’ hearts pumping instantly with its fast-paced, charging rhythms, energetic vocal chants and chunky thrash-infused riffs. The track’s accompanying video highlights that while it sometimes feels easier to make self-destructive choices in times of anger, we can channel that energy into bettering ourselves, both mentally and physically, instead – the best revenge!
David Ellefson says about “Don’t Get Mad … Get Even!”: “The best revenge is being better than you were before. ‘Don’t Get Mad … Get Even!’ is about the champion inside us that helps overcome and rise above the challenges. Don’t get bitter… get better!”
Guilherme adds: “When things fall apart, instead pointing the finger at others, you can turn around, work on yourself, do your best and find your way to get truly even.”
Michał offers one more sage thought: “In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream will win – not by strength, but by perseverance”.
DIETH marks the exciting resurgence of three renowned musicians, coming together as a new musical force after years of silence. Produced by DIETH with mixing and mastering by Tomasz Zed Zalewski at Zed Studios in Chechło, Poland, To Hell And Back represents new beginnings – musically, lyrically and for the band members themselves.
Weaving a sinister thread of unrelenting tech-steeped death metal, rapid thrash bangers and even boasting the first ever lead vocal performance by David Ellefson on a track, the members of DIETH have pushed beyond the stereotypes of their former genres to create an unexpected yet charismatic and dynamic new sonic footprint.
Opening with an entrancing acoustic introduction, first track “To Hell And Back” quickly slams in with a punishing death metal attack. Tracks like “Dead Inside” and “Don’t Get Mad … Get Even!” showcase the thrash-infused side of DIETH, while death metal anthems such as “Wicked Disdain” and “The Mark of Cain” lean diabolical with hair-raising solos and breakneck paced rhythms backed by crushing walls of aggression. Standout “Free Us All” flirts with the record’s pace by blending winding passages and aggression with throwback bass-driven interludes with psychedelic production, followed by “Heavy Is The Crown” – a slow and low grinder featuring stoner metal groove, a swaying chorus and a blues-infused solo. Pensive, powerful ballad “Walk With Me Forever” showcases David Ellefson’s lead vocal performance debut, singing about the intense loss of a loved one and their memory providing the strength to carry on.
Ending with intensely beautiful “Severance”, To Hell And Back proves that DIETH isn’t just another side project or “supergroup”, but rather the collective reincarnation of three renowned heavy metal forces who, by harnessing their own pain and conflict, have delivered an exciting next chapter no metal fan will want to miss!
