CATTLE DECAPITATION will be touring in support of Terrasite, their herculean tenth studio album released in May via Metal Blade Records.

Though many bands have tried, no one articulates the real apocalypse humanity is facing as vividly and succinctly as CATTLE DECAPITATION. With 2019’s Death Atlas, they reached the apex of this, perhaps leading some to believe they had no place left to go beyond such an achievement, but alas, the band returns with Terrasite, which is as bold a statement as they have ever made. Roaring to life with the savage yet hauntingly melodic “Terrasitic Adaptation” and advancing through the likes of the relentless “We Eat Our Young” and culminating with the ten-plus minutes of “Just Another Body,” Terrasite is an album that constantly shifts dynamics and demands a variety of emotional responses.

Watch the band’s videos for “We Eat Our Young” HERE, “Scourge Of The Offspring” HERE, and “A Photic Doom” HERE.

Terrasite, which features the artwork by longtime collaborator Wes Benscoter (Vader, Kreator, Bloodbath, Hypocrisy), was produced by Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage, Allegaeon) and includes Dis Pater of Midnight Odyssey handling piano and synths.

RONNIE ATKINS Announces New Album “Trinity”, Reveals First Single + Video

Famed and recognized Danish hard rock singer/songwriter RONNIE ATKINS (of Pretty Maids) has announced the upcoming release of his third studio album, TRINITY, on October 13, 2023. The first single and video from the album of the title track are out today.

Pre-order/save TRINITY: https://orcd.co/trinity

“I think the album might have turned out a bit heavier than the previous ones, since most of the songs were written on guitar this time around, but above all it’s still very melodic,” says Atkins. “Lyrically it’s pretty much about what’s going on in the world today and that’s what inspires me. A lot of the songs are pretty personal too and I’m trying to squeeze in a bit of optimism into it as well.”

Since Ronnie Atkins was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2019, he has not lost a second of his precious time which was spent composing and recording two very successful releases–MAKE IT COUNT and his debut album, ONE SHOT–both very much acclaimed by critics and fans alike. He has also recently resumed live shows in Europe with his own band and with the Avantasia project all over the world.

“I guess I have a different perspective on life these days than I had 4 years ago, and I embrace everyday with all that goes with it,” continues Ronnie. “Let me add to this that writing songs and performing on stage is what keeps me going, I guess. I like to focus on the positive aspects of life and indulge myself in things that I really wanna do by heart.”

A winning team should not be changed, so once again the album was produced by Chris Laney with Jacob Hansen taking care of the mix and the mastering.

“To me a good song is a good hook/topline and that’s pretty much what paves the way for the end result,” concludes Ronnie Atkins, explaining “it’s a damn good solid melodic hard rock album. I’m very happy about the final result. I hope the fans will embrace the new album and that I’ll be able to take these songs on the road throughout 2024. That’s my plan!”

Since the start of his rock‘n roll journey with Pretty Maids, Ronnie Atkins has consistently gifted fans with quality, melodic rock and TRINITY delivers again in spades!

A string of live dates has already been announced for the Fall of 2023:

PHIL JAMIESON Releases New Album “Somebody Else” on August 11th

Phil Jamieson has spent the last quarter-century fronting one of Australia’s popular and successful bands. An accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist, Jamieson’s generation-defining lyrics and vocal melodies first became etched into rock fans’ DNA in 1995, when the Lismore-born quartet he helped form as an 18-year-old rode a new wave of alternative music to become the first act Unearthed by national youth radio station triple j with its debut single “Sickfest”.

So began a love affair that maintained its heat and passion for over one thousand live shows, six consecutive Top 10 debuts and multi-platinum album sales. That initial romance with triple j’s listeners blossomed into full-bloom infatuation: an incredible 17 Grinspoon songs have polled in Hottest 100 countdowns over the years, led by the much-loved ‘Chemical Heart’ (#2 in 2002; #63 in 2013’s Hottest 100 of All Time).

Jamieson’s live performance talents have continued to diversify and develop as he has explored new stages and formats. Embracing a solo career, Jamieson also made the transition from live music venues to the boards of theatres around the country in 2017, being cast as St. Jimmy in the Australian stage production of American Idiot. The Broadway musical made an impactful debut with its initial Australian premiere in Brisbane, leading to a national tour in 2018 – a performance that earned Jamieson acclaim: “Phil Jamieson carried the role in Perth, and absolutely nailed it. Jamieson has more of a swagger than an in-your-face psychopathic Jimmy, which I enjoyed more than I expected…whenever Jimmy is on stage, it’s difficult to focus on anything else.” – SYN MEDIA

As well as working on his solo career in recent years, Jamieson has also been involved in several philanthropic and industry-specific initiatives.
In 2013, he co-founded the Rock N Ride Tour for the national Youth and Mental Health Foundation, headspace. Bringing awareness to mental health issues faced by young people, the initiative saw a group of media figures, musicians and friends of Jamieson’s engage with local communities across a five-day motorcycle road trip, taking in over 5000km on the road. Additionally, profits from Jamieson’s solo touring have been donated to national initiative Support Act, who continue to assist and uplift those in the music industry who are in need.

Since 2015, Jamieson has also been an industry judge for the Australian Music Prize, arguably the most prestigious award in Australian music.
From fronting a generation-defining band, enjoying success as a solo artist and in the musical theatre world, as well as using his skills behind the scenes across numerous projects;  Jamieson remains a multi-faceted creative, 27 years on from his debut.

2022 welcomed the debut solo album from Phil Jamieson, featuring singles ‘Trouble’ and Lights On’. A project years in the making, it grabbed the praise, as that doyen of the arts, Tim Rogers says of it: “Phil’s puckish performance style is underscored by a voice that can turn choirboy or demon’s spawn in a blinding grin. This has at times overshadowed his humour and empathy but no more. Teasing open his lapels to show heart and scars, but also hope and the lessons learnt from throwing yourself into this art that compels and damns us. Pop music with fire and finesse.’

Just a few days after performing their last show of 2023 with Iron Maiden on the mainstage of the legendary Wacken Open Air, LORD OF THE LOST have released a new official video for “Dead End”. The song is taken from their #1 charting latest album, Blood & Glitter. After the shrill and colorful video for “Reset The Preset” a month ago, the band spontaneously shot a video in an underground club in London with English director Caitlin Strokes in between tour days of the Iron Maiden tour.

2023 is the most successful year in the band’s history so far for LORD OF THE LOST. After representing Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in May and supporting Iron Maiden on their European tour for the second time in 2 years, the first short break of the year is now upon them. Tickets for the upcoming headline shows as well as their own LORDFEST festival are partly sold out already.

On the band’s eighth album, LORD OF THE LOST enter a new era of exciting 70s glam rock visuals, and add a blend of 80s new wave and pop influences as well as gothic and electronic elements to their own, relevant modern metal style, impressing both fans and critics.

Female Fronted ANTIPOD Drop ‘Nouvelle Ere’ Lyric Video

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 8, 2023
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: ANTIPOD. Leave a comment

ANTIPOD, the acclaimed female-fronted progressive metal ensemble, is thrilled to announce the release of their latest lyric video, “Nouvelle Ere”. The track serves as an emblematic glimpse into their upcoming album, “Eveil,” set to be released worldwide on September 8th, 2023 through Wormholedeath.

The lyric video for “Nouvelle Ere” showcases ANTIPOD’s signature fusion of powerful melodies, intricate instrumentals, and thought-provoking lyrics. The song explores the turmoil of progress and the blinding pursuit of profit, reminding us of the precarious state of humanity’s existence. With a foreboding atmosphere that seeps into our very beings, the lyrics question the enigmatic undercurrents of this new era and ponder the fate that awaits our planet. They raise poignant concerns about finding hope amidst futility while encouraging listeners to rediscover the true meaning of our existence and safeguard the Earth we call home.

The captivating visuals and creative direction of the “Nouvelle Ere” lyric video are credited to Volume Agency.

Antipod initially began as a solo project called Mythrillium, led by Sebastien who composed music without any specific expectations. After sharing his creations with musician friends, they encouraged him to record tracks in a studio. Steven Segarra, the creator and guitarist of “Wedingoth,” was contacted to assist with recording, contributing most of the guitar and bass lines due to his multi-instrumentalist abilities. Several guest musicians were invited to participate in the album, including Steven Segarra, Julien LAGNIER, Fabien LACROIX, and Stéphane MONSÉRRAT.

Over time, there have been lineup changes, with notable additions including Jemina on vocals, the official role of Stéphane, and Élias on guitar, while Gregory departed for personal reasons and was replaced by Aurelien on drums.
