9Left Dead recently made the trip to Nashville, Tennessee to record their new EP Love After Death with multi platinum producer Malcolm Springer at East Iris Studios (formerly House of Blues Studio).
The first single “One Last Day” is a pure hard rock heavy hitting love story that grabs you by the heart and won’t let go. It is now available on all platforms via Dead Ned Productions. The full EP Love After Death will be available July 21st.
9Left Dead is a rock band formed in the small town of Amber, Oklahoma that began as a coping mechanism for lead singer Travis Jones through his battle of leukemia. Writing music about the stories of life, love, loss, and all the beautifully tragic and romantic pieces became his escape.
After pairing up with like minded musician and friend Steven Jones, the duo put together a band that thrived in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. They went on to win a battle of the bands that would put them on a path to work with multi platinum artist Cody Hanson of Hinder with whom they recorded their first major album with over 400,000 plus streams , The WrongThings.
This led to them playing with bands such as Hinder, Pop Evil, PapaRoach, Halestorm, Seether, Three Days Grace, Puddle of Mudd, Candlebox, Scotty Austin and more.
The group has since added guitarist, vocalist, and additional song writer Brad Scott and then Tyler Medley joined the band to play bass.
After “Blackthorn”, the NWOBHM unsung heroes TRESPASS are back with a new video from the upcoming fourth studio album of the UK collective. “Daggers Drawn” has the urgency of a band hunger for more – even though Trespass has been active, one way or the other, for the last four decades – with a strong, pounding rhythm section and the twin guitars that are the signature of the group.
“”Daggers Drawn” definitely shows my Thin Lizzy influence”, guitarist, vocalist and founding member Mark Sutcliffe says. “It’s about man’s inhumanity to man and the never-ending ways we have found to destroy each other. And the tragic tendency to pass that inbred hate and intolerance onto our children”.
Today Metal Shock Finland has a pleasure to premiere “Daggers Drawn” official video for Finland, join and enjoy it below:
Trespass was formed in 1979 in Sudbury, Suffolk by Mark Sutcliffe (guitar, vocals) and his brother Paul on drums. The band enjoyed success and critical acclaim as part of the New wave of British Heavy Metal in the early 80s, although it has only released a few singles and an EP – the cult “Bright Lights”, from 1981. Songs such as “One Of These Days”, “Stormchild” and “Bright Lights” have made their mark.
In the 90s, Trespass was back in full action and in 1993 the band finally released their long-awaited debut album “Head”, helping keep the NWOBHM flame alive in a dark decade for traditional metal. The second album, self-titled, surfaced in 2015, and the group didn’t need another decade for a follow-up, with “Footprints In The Rock” being released three years after, with reactions, confirming that Trespass music is still enjoyed by rock and metal fans all over the world. While preparing the next full-length release, Trespass is currently rehearsing a set of classics old and new, for UK and European shows next year.
“Wolf At The Door” will be released on LP (black vinyl, limited to 500), CD and digital formats via From The Vaults on May 26th, 2023.

NYC-based modern rock quartet TEMPT’s latest single “Roses”—out digitally nowvia Better Noise Music—is a genuine celebration of the human spirit and the power of positive energy captured through its irresistible groove, catchy chorus and a ripping guitar solo. Stream and/or download it now HERE. “Roses” was produced and mixed by Grammy Award-winner Chris Lord-Alge (Harry Styles, Foo Fighters, Muse) who commended TEMPT’s efforts, stating: “Working with TEMPT was a blast. They are the real deal, with a rare combination of musicality, energy, and heart, which truly shines through in this new single. Their passion for their music and their fans is inspiring, and it was a joy to work with them on this project.”
TEMPT—Zach Allen (lead vocals), Harrison Marcello (lead guitar), Christopher Gooden (bass) and Nicholas Burrows (drums)—showcase their electrifying live performance in the music video for “Roses,” also out today. The video takes viewers on a visual journey reminiscent of a graphic novel, with high-contrast black-and-white silhouettes that explode into vibrant colors. Directed by Emmy-nominated Eric Steinhauser, known for his work on ‘Baileys in Tune: John Mayer and Paul Simon,’ the video captures the song’s concept of embracing people with positive energy and spirit, as social media influencer and choreographer Olivia Alboher playfully and elusively dances around the band, mesmerizing Allen with her vibrant energy. Watch it streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE.
On the song’s meaning, Marcello says: “It’s a tribute to the people who uplift you and bring out the best in you. It’s about embracing their infectious energy, being drawn in by them, and becoming part of their spirit.”
“I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved with ‘Roses,” shares Allen. “It’s a song that truly reflects who we are as a band—high-energy, infectious and unapologetically rock n’ roll.”
TEMPT have already proven their pedigree headlining clubs across the country as well as appearing as openers for Bon Jovi at Madison Square Garden and on arena tours and festivals with iconic acts such as Iron Maiden, Shinedown, Alter Bridge and Theory Of A Deadman.
The band even won the praise of Sir Brian May following their recent cover of Queen’s quintessential classic “We Will Rock You,” with proceeds being donated to May’s animal welfare Save Me Trust charity. Says May: “Thanks TEMPT for rockin’ for wild animals. And for playing a damn good rendition of our ancient tune!!!” TEMPT were also featured on the soundtrack for Better Noise Film’s 2022 horror-thriller The Retaliators with their single “Living Dangerous (feat. Dorothy).”
In addition to the release of “Roses,” TEMPT will release two additional new singles over the coming months, giving audiences a taste of what’s to come on their debut album due this summer via Better Noise Music. The band will share further details and upcoming tour plans in the following weeks; stay tuned for more information.
SLEEP TOKEN have released their third studio album, Take Me Back To Eden.
Along with its release, the band have revealed the concluding visualiser in the albums accompanying animated series for title-track, ‘Take Me Back To Eden’. Watch below.
Take Me Back To Eden (an hour-plus of music across 12 distinctive tracks) is Part 3 of a trilogy, a spectacular chapter-closer in the ongoing Sleep Token saga – a saga that kicked off in earnest with debut album, Sundowning (2019).
‘…Eden’ features probably the heaviest moments thus far recorded by Sleep Token (i.e. “Vore” & “The Summoning”), along with some of the most immediate and certainly the most emotional (i.e. “Aqua Regia” & “DYWTYLM”), with a slew of other tones, textures and tangents touched on in-between.
TMBTE sees Sleep Token boldly re-confirming a true love of the epic (the title track is eight minutes plus), whilst further exploring and developing those elements that keep the music removed from any kind of pack, howling at a moon that’s all its own.

On the live front, Sleep Token are confirmed to appear as special guests to Slipknot across 2 shows in Hamburg and Berlin, whilst ST’s entire upcoming US tour, in addition to a one-off headliner in Germany, are completely sold-out.

Meanwhile, album tracks, “Chokehold”, “The Summoning”, “Aqua Regia”, “Granite” and “Vore” have collectively amassed over 85 million streams, whilst standout single, “The Summoning”, has generated some 40 million streams alone, causing the track to trend on Twitter and take the #1 song spot on a host of international Spotify viral charts, as well as being selected as a ‘YouTube Trending Artist On The Rise’, featuring on YouTube’s home page, viewed by millions of people every day.
The unprecedented accolades keep rolling in, between the fact that ST has never played a headline show in the UK that didn’t sell out (a trend now following them around the world), “Aqua Regia” picking up consistent airplay on the Radio One ‘Future Sounds’ show hosted by Clara Amfo, plus huge popstar Demi Lovato sharing Sleep Token’s music with her 153 million Instagram followers, Sleep Token consistently smash boundaries that they refused to acknowledge in the first place.
And even though Sleep Token notoriously do not speak to the press (out of necessity, not ego or gimmick), media can’t help but write about the phenomenon, reporting on the band’s every move; NME note, “Sleep Token offer their fans an entire world to immerse themselves in if they so wish. It’s a place of escapism, and the foundation of a huge fan community that’s dedicated to studying the band’s creativity. While they have the same fervour as any other fandom, there’s still a notable difference.” Whilst Metal Hammer called them “the most exciting band in metal right now.”
Sludge/Death Metal sensations HALFLIGHTED have released a new lyric video for “This Winding Path,” a track taken from their upcoming album Obloquy, which is set to be released via Wormholedeath worldwide.
The song features the words of Virgil’s Aeneid, “Whence is this sudden sheen of weather?”, which explores the human experience of facing unexpected and uncertain situations, and struggling to find meaning and purpose in the face of adversity. Through the track, Halflighted brings to light the vulnerability and fragility of human beliefs and faith, and the ways in which they can be both empowering and deceptive.
The five members of Halflighted are known for their unique blend of musical tastes, which fiercely clash to spawn Sludge-infused songs that explore Gothic undertones, Death Metal forces, Progressive tints, classic Rock drumming, a fair amount of Psychedelia, and many more influences.
The new lyric video for “This Winding Path” is a powerful visual representation of the song’s message, crafted by the talented team at Volume Agency.

“Obloquy” promises to deliver a truly unique and unforgettable listening experience. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting upcoming release.
The album art has been masterfully designed by Óskart, the band’s guitarist.
Hailing from the Irish capital, NEBULARIS is a three-piece Technical Metal project that encapsulates the essence of Sci-Fi, cinematic film scores, with powerhouse progressive arrangements that exceed expectations.
The band’s debut single, ‘Cataclysm’ is a precursor to their full-length album, currently getting the finishing touches by engineer/producer/musician Ben Wanders [The Enigma Division].
Following the welcoming introduction to the bands debut single in April, Nebularis continue to push the boundaries of expectations with the their latest single, ‘Subnautica’, which flows seamlessly in line with futuristic concept linked to ‘Cataclysm’.
Speaking of ‘Subnauticia’, guitarist Mó Sheerin says: “The intergenerational crew of the colony-ship Sigma have awakened to a harsh reality. The ship’s navigational system Voyager has foreseen the need to refuel, and has chartered a course to a suitable celestial body. Upon awakening, the initial euphoria of reaching a possibly habitable world is crushed; the planet is an ocean world with no land in sight!”
