NEÀNDER release their new EP, “Odèm / Yola des goz”, via Through Love Records today, completely unexpected and without prior announcement: https://orcd.co/neanderodemyola

The two songs are released three weeks before the EREMIT Tour kicks off in Dresden, Germany. The tour has been postponed for two years due to the pandemic: “We can’t wait to finally go on tour again and play our albums and the new songs live,” the band says. “odèm and yola des goz are both uptempo numbers and show our punk and hardcore influences, but still sound like typical neànder songs. You could almost call it skate doom. All the energy that has built up over time can be heard here,” they continue. Tickets for the EREMIT Tour are still available at: https://linktr.ee/neanderdoom

Track Listing:
01 odèm
02 yola des goz

In cooperation with underground label Wir Sind Die Toten, the 4-piece will also release an exclusive T-shirt in the design of the single cover. The shirt, which is also strictly limited, will be available exclusively on tour and at WSDT shop. The cover was designed by Cologne-based artist Skullcult: https://www.instagram.com/skullcult/?hl=de

Their upcoming album, titled “Second Coming, Second Crucifixion” will premiere 1st of September via Interstellar Galactic Record.

Undertaker

“This song is an ode to loss. The loss after which your life will be wrecked once and for all. Undertaker is a personification of that power, that takes away all that you love. Existing in misery. Finnish metallers KAKSONEN return from over 10 years hiatus and releases new album this summer. First single “Kaukana kaikesta” from the upcoming album is now released. The band’s sound is built on extreme metal flavors and smooth melodic soundscapes. The new song is an ode to peace and unity in a world that so often seem like an endless void of loneliness.

Listen to the single on music services: https://push.fm/fl/kaksonen-kaukanakaikesta

Kaksonen was founded 2007 in Äänekoski Finland. On May that year the band played it’s first live show on a local battle of the bands. And as a winner of the contest  they recorded their first EP. Main goal from the very beginning was to create really heavy music that would also have a life loving aspect and that would resonate to people from different backgrounds. Next six years Kaksonen played loads of furious shows and released four EPs and one full length album. After that the band split up as the members moved all around the nordic countries. Now after about 10 years the band has activated again and they are releasing the hardest and heaviest album so far!

«You are invincible — You can achieve anything, not if you believe in it, but if you know it…and that makes you invincible!»
That’s the core message of the band’s forthcoming offering. Metal Shock Finland’s Exclusive Premiere for Finland: ELECTRIC BOYS “I’ve Got A Feelin’” Official Video

While the world was twisted and spinning oddly like a broken carousel in the last couple of years, Swedish funk-infused rock’n’roll bastard child ELECTRIC BOYS were busy touring, penning their following record, and trying to figure out how to make sense of all this mess we’re living in.

They took the Scandinavian Winter to retreat to warmer climates and booked a studio in Spain, where they spent a few weeks recording what will be their next studio album. But the first teaser is already here, and it lives up to Electric Boys’ high standards. “I’ve Got A Feeling” is pure rock soul, with a classy riff, a mellow chorus, and that storytelling, baritone, charming voice of Conny Bloom to top it all.

All in all, the best way to foreshow the Swedes upcoming studio album and to leave you the feelin’ that they’re up to something really good. Again. Despite the world is still twisted and spinning oddly like a broken carousel.

“Yes, I DO have a feelin’…” Conny Bloom says. “That something good is about to happen. New paths will be crossed and new doors will be opened, so let’s party like it’s 2023!”.

ELECTRIC BOYS have teamed up with Metal Shock Finland to premiere “I’ve Got A Feelin’” for Finnish territory, enjoy it here:

Formed in Stockholm in 1988, Electric Boys is a band with roots in 70s groove rock and 60s pop and psychedelia. Their critically acclaimed debut album, “Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride” was produced by Bob Rock (Metallica, Bon Jovi, The Cult, Mötley Crüe) and spawned the self-produced Billboard Top 20 single, “All Lips ‘N’ Hips” that got them heavy rotation on MTV.

After extensive touring, the band entered legendary studio Abbey Road to record the follow-up “Groovus Maximus”, which gave the band another Billboard Top 30 single with the song, “Mary In The Mystery World”. The third album “Freewheelin'” (also recorded in Abbey Road) peaked at #16 on the Official Swedish Album Chart before the band called it a day in 1994.

Guitarist and lead singer, Conny Bloom went solo until he, as well as bassist Andy Christell, joined the legendary Hanoi Rocks in 2005. In 2009 they began the process of reuniting the Electric Boys. They released the album “And Them Boys Done Swang” in 2011 and the critically acclaimed favorite “Starflight United” in 2014.

In 2018 the return to studio albums finally happened, with “The Ghost Ward Diaries”, a record that not only topped the charts in Sweden and Denmark but also brought back the distinctive sound of Electric Boys to their countless fans and new listeners. Roughly three years after, “Ups!de Down”, written already under lockdown, repeated the success but brought a broader array of songs.

Lineup:
Conny Bloom – guitar, vocals
Andy Christell – bass
“Slim” Martin Thomander – guitar
Jolle Atlagic – drums
