‘Wastelands’, the second single from FALL OF SERENITY’s upcoming new album “Open Wide, O Hell” out now on all digital platforms!

New album “Open Wide, O Hell” out March 22nd and up for preorder/ presave.

Good things come to those who wait. FALL OF SERENITY are back with a new album ten years after their reunion. Their split lasted from 2009 to 2012. For the last five-four, the quintet has been preparing the release of “Open Wide, O Hell”. Were the musicians inspired by their former bassist Linus Klausenitzer (ALKALOID, OBSIDIOUS, OBSCURA/FALL OF SERENITY 2008-2009), who released his solo debut “Tulpa” in the fall of 2023? Maybe!

“Open Wide, O Hell” is also variably written and comes up with a good dose of surprises. The basis of the album still lies in melodic death metal, which is associated with the East German band founded in 1998. But a black metal impact is also to be attributed to the new song material and changes the musical face decisively. Besides, impressive melodies continue to lead FALL OF SERENITY through their songs. Quite a few of the tracks are true headbangers. This has been the case since the times of the unforgotten, legendary split with HEAVEN SHALL BURN from 1999.

The band around frontman John Gahlert enjoys cult status in the European melo-death underground. With the new record, the musicians continue where they left off in 2009. “Open Wide, O Hell” – after “Bloodred Salvation” (2006) and “The Crossfire” (2007) the third album of the group for LIFEFORCE RECORDS – convinces with raw aggression and threatening darkness. FALL OF SERENITY succeeds not only to meet expectations surrounding their comeback, but to exceed them!

Open Wide, O Hell – Out March 22nd

KALT VINDUR was established in the spring of 2015 in Dukla, Poland. After personnel changes in the line-up of Artur (Svart) on guitar, Julian (Xakhariash) on drums, Szymon (S) on bass guitar, Wojciech (Celsus) on vocals, the band recorded their first album entitled “Delusions” (2017) where keyboard & synth was recorded by U. The band’s style has also evolved this time, making it the most mature work with some surprising changes, but at the same time a multidimensional and coherent album.

Music for new album was recorded at Regnat Studio (Dargor, Krusher) in Cieklin (PL). Mix & mastering was done by Krzysztof Kokosiński. Cover artwork and layout by Maciej Kamuda (Blut Aus Nord, Spaceslug, Sunnata).

About ZO2

ZO2 is a New York rock band with Brooklyn roots formed in 2003 when Paul Zablidowsky (“Paulie Z”) and his brother David Zablidowsky (“David Z”) (known as the “Z brothers”) approached drummer Joey Cassata to join their band. The trio is known for making throwback rock with Paulie Z on vocals and guitar, David Z on vocals and bass, and Joey Cassata on drums, percussion, and vocals. In the early years, the band made ends meet by playing at children’s birthday parties around New York where their clients included Robert De Niro, Michael J. Fox and Al Roker. When asked about their decision to play children’s parties, Paulie Z explained, “it was really only to fund ZO2.” ZO2 landed its first national tour in 2004, playing 40 dates on the VH1 Rock the Nation tour as the opening act for KISS and Poison. The band has also performed with Stone Temple Pilots, Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister, Scorpions, Sammy Hagar, Dream Theater, King’s X and more.

Let’s mix Pop and Rock, add a dash of feeling and anger, insert a truly extraordinary voice…..Here’s “Happy” , the latest single from JOHN’S SOUL! Single now available on all worldwide music stores and also on Wanikiya Record’s Japanese showcase shop. Ready to catapult you into the wonderful world of John’s Soul?

John’s Soul is a project born in 2016 from its author’s spontaneous need for expression, so much so that he only made the name official later. A multimedia vision that works on the synchronicity of unreleased lyrics, music and video support, which reworks personal experiences in an attempt to dialogue with its audience, moving in the social and psychic sphere. Sounds of clear grunge and punk origins hybridize with the author’s broader musical influences, always with the aim of ensuring synergy between music and lyrics. The author, Giovanni Barborini, is currently attending studies in “Care of the Voice” and “Extreme Vocality,” a formative experience that led him to produce “Happy,” a single taken from the collection “Inside Out,” which will be available soon on the platforms. The song is precisely part of a collection that aims to reason about issues of alienation, starting from domestic confinement and social media abuse to the complex dynamics related to hikikomori, ranging on more inner planes such as agoraphobia and decidophobia. The hope is surely to help listeners think through current and socially sensitive issues,

FLOYA Announce Debut Album & Release New Single ‘Drift’

FLOYA have announced their debut album Yume, due for release on 8th March via Arising Empire. The band have also released a video for their new single ‘Drift’.

‘Drift’ is filled with genre-bending moments and conveys a clear message: do what you love, there’s not enough time for anything else. The duo elevate listeners with powerful, airy synths, Marv’s romantic guitar riffs, and Phil’s unmistakable, angelic voice.

“I don’t think I’ve ever written a song this honest before,” says vocalist Phil. “I’ve grappled with ambivalent emotions toward my career, to be completely transparent. There were moments when I doubted whether I could continue doing what I love. I turned my back on music for a while and, as a result, lost a significant part of my identity. ‘Drift’ is about precisely that: dealing with ambivalence, overcoming doubts, and enabling you to continue doing what you love.”

Pre-order available here: https://arisingempire.com/yume

Hailing from Germany, Marv Wilder and Phil Bayer found common ground by talking about their childhood influences, namely Peter Gabriel, U2 & Sting.

Since the release of their debut single ‘Wonders’ in March 2022, FLOYA have amassed over eight million streams on Spotify alone. Their single ‘The Hymn’ was featured in an official AFL game between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs on Australian television; an impressive achievement for a newly launched act. FLOYA have also received significant airplay from Kerrang! Radio (UK) and Radio Contact (BE).

FLOYA are:
Phil Bayer | vocals
Marv Wilder | guitar
