Following previously-released album appetizers such as the furious title track, or songs such as “I Witness”, “New Flame” and the powerful metal-meets-hard rock anthem “Burning Pieces”, today, DUST BOLT are premiering a music video for their new single “Disco Nnection“!
“What should I say about Disco nnection?! I think the song says it all. This tune takes you to the depths of Munich‘s night clubs and Freddie‘s legacy. Munich is a holy place – somehow- when it comes to music history. Queen, Zeppelin, Rainbow, .. they all recorded their albums – and partied here.” DUST BOLT frontman Lenny B. explains.
“During the pandemic I became really attracted to the world of Quincy Jones‘ music & work. I kinda fell in love with 70s music, listening to a lot of disco, pop & soul from that era. They all had at least one thing in common: great musicianship & magical musical passion on their instruments and as a band playing together.
The next day I stepped into the rehearsal room, we had this heavy riff. Straightforward. Metal as hell.

Formed in 2007, DUST BOLT have been resolute and ruthless in their pursuit of metal glory over the last 16 years. Childhood friends with a collective passion for metal in all its various forms, the quartet have established themselves as one of Europe’s leading thrash metal bands.
Written during those isolated months of pandemic lockdown, Sound & Fury represents the peak of the band’s creativity, and a major leap forward in every department. The first DUST BOLT record to feature new bassist Tom Liebing, alongside Lenny Bruce, guitarist Florian Dehn and drummer Nico Remann, Sound & Fury grew from a long period of self-reflection that began when the world shut down.
“Sound and Fury was created during the probably darkest and most difficult time for the band.” DUST BOLT revealed. “First time in our lives, since we were kids, we were somehow separated from another and the dream we lived together seemed to stopped. It was during the pandemic days, when the band even decided to take a break from one another, when Flo came up with this beautiful piece of music – not knowing how he would channel and express our feelings, leading to LB putting some Dust Bolt unusual, but heartfelt vocals on it and having Nico introducing a disco beat to a metal song in the end. We didn’t know what was happening – we just did it. We did know, there’d be a million voices saying we can’t put this up on a Dust Bolt record. But more than that we knew „as long as we stick together, we can do anything the *** we want“ . Sound and Fury is a story about friendship, struggle & inner turmoil. SuF is a story about us. SuF is a different, open and honest Dust Bolt, sharing their emotion with you and your friends.”
Although still rooted in thrash and old school metal, the new record adds dazzling colour and diversity to the band’s trademark sound. With pummelling grooves, spine-tingling dynamics and a startling, part-melodic vocal performance from Lenny Bruce, with an analogue mix by Moritz Enders [Revolverheld, Silbermond], the new songs mark the beginning of a new era of DUST BOLT destruction. Simultaneously catchier than any previous record and grittier and heavier than before, Sound & Fury is the sound of a great band realising their full potential. Or as DUST BOLT states:

“The missing link between Ronnie James Dio and Christina Aguilera”. That’s how Athens born ANDRY LAGIOU describes herself as a vocalist. A former runner-up on The Voice of Greece and frontwoman of The Harps, she has decided to embark on a solo career and will be just ANDRY.
Being a well-known name on the international metal scene, her highly anticipated debut album ‘Skies’ will be released on February 16 2024 through Baby Mistress Records.
The first single, for the title-track ‘Skies’ is out now and available on all streaming platforms via The Orchard, at https://orcd.co/skies.

‘Skies’, the hard-hitting title track of the album is an important song for Andry and close to her heart: “Skies is about empowerment and rising through the ashes of a nuclear war having many allegories of female abuse and my personal life. The artwork of the album is inspired by the space and how it might look in the future. Since you can’t live in the past it is consoling to dream about the future and about the changes it will bring.”
Andry is much more than just a singer… songwriter, guitar player, feminist. She first appeared on the scene in 2013, when she founded her band The Harps but it was in 2017 when she took Greece by storm after winning a blind audition on The Voice, covering a spectacular version of Deep Purple’s ‘Burn’. The video garnered more than one million views on YouTube (see below). After finishing as the runner-up at The Voice of Greece, Andry released the album ‘Love Strikes Doves’ with the Harps and was featured as guest vocalist on several albums, including The Vivaldi Metal Project and prog metal act Pyramid, where she duetted with Tim Ripper Owens on the smash song ‘Stygma’.
By 2022 Andry decided to take fate in her own hand and wrote and recorded her first solo-album ‘Skies’. Mixed by sound wizard Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Winery Dogs, Steel Panther), the album features contributions from Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Winery Dogs, David Lee Roth), Mike Lepond (Symphony X), Russell Gilbrook (Uriah Heep) and Stephen Platt (Devin Townsend). Most of all, ‘Skies’ contains the amazing vocal and songwriting talents of Andry, a strong and confident woman who has taken control of her own career… and life: “One choses her own destiny. Are you a slave to your emotions or your goals? Life is like a jungle, you eat or you’ll be eaten.”
With the imminent release of her album, Andry has put a kick-ass live band together to take her music to live stages across Europe and beyond. Her tour will start in January with shows in the Benelux.

About BEYOND THE BLACK: German Symphonic Metal ascending stars BEYOND THE BLACK can already look back across a stratospherically successful career, despite their youthful years. Upon release, their 2015 debut album hit like a bomb in their home country. Songs Of Love And Deathbesieged the German Top 15 for weeks, which led to the band being awarded the Metal Hammer Award for “Best Debut” in 2015. Its successor Lost In Forever (2016) entered the German charts at #4 and paved the way for a huge tour throughout Germany, and across countries like the UK, Russia and Japan. Since the band’s live debut in 2014 they have played some of the world’s biggest Metal festival like Wacken Open Air (several times) and have toured as support to heavy weights such as AEROSMITH, KORN, SCORPIONS, SAXON and WITHIN TEMPTATION. During the campaign for their third record Heart Of the Hurricane(2018),BEYOND THE BLACK landedtheir first ever European headline tour, which took them across 10 countries, with most dates selling out.
Before they’d even finished the Heart Of the Hurricane touring cycle, BEYOND THE BLACKhad already gone back to the studio to write and record album number four. Now, two years later, BEYOND THE BLACK are back to launch a new chapter. MADHOUSE is an Italian female-fronted alternative rock/metal band, formed in 2012, captained by the charismatic singer Federica Tringali and the guitarist Filippo Anfossi. Federica decided to christen the band MadHouse, in order to highlight the existing parallelism between art and madness. Basing her lyrics on strong and direct life experiences, she wrote numerous songs of great potential. Four of these tracks have been chosen to be part of the EP “You Want More” published in 2015 (under ICM label) and produced by one of the leading Italian producers Marco Barusso (LacunaCoil, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Coldplay). “You Want More” received immediate recognition by critics and got a considerable airplay from various FM and web radios in Italy, Germany, Spain and UK.
MadHouse entered the studio to work on their first full-length this time under the artistic direction of Eddy Cavazza best known for his work with artists such as Anthony Phillips (Genesis), John Wetton (King Crimson), Dino Cazares (Fear Factory, Brujeria), Logan Mader (Machine Head), Tue Madsen (Meshuggah), Dan Korneff (Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, Papa Roach, Lamb of God and My Chemical Romance).
“MadHouse Hotel”, released on March 29th 2019, for DysFUNCTION Record Label and Productions, is a 10 tracks concept album about different experiences we have to face in our lives. Every song represents a hotel room in which the listeners choose to stop in order to look for their own dimension. Listening to the song means getting the key of the room. “MadHouse Hotel” got a worldwide airplay and it received several national and international credit and awards. The band then promoted the album with a live tour that saw them play many Italian and European cities.
In January 2023 the band releases its third album produced by Eddy Cavazza for Silent Ghost Production (USA) under Nadir Music label. “Secret Antithesis” draws inspiration from the works of M.C. Escher and illustrates how several facets of a person’s psyche can coexist, frequently at odds with one another. The human soul is intricate and is made up of opposites that somehow complement one another while they coexist. The new full-length is anticipated by the release of the single and video clip of the track Voodoo Doll.
Finnish Thrash Metal band Miehala is set to release their new EP Sons of Alaheim on March 14th 2023 via Inverse Records. The first single War is released today and it’s available here: https://push.fm/fl/miehala-war

Miehala band is a four-piece thrash metal band from Eastern Finland, founded in 2021. The group consists of Tuomas Lepistö, Elias Lepistö, Mika Kähärä and Jarkko Pesonen. The band’s drummer Elias Lepistö acts as the main vocalist, but guitarist Tuomas Lepistö performs the lead vocal parts in a few songs. The band’s second guitarist is Mika Kähärä and bassist Jarkko Pesonen.
Miehala’s music is today in all it’s freshness, although the music sound and style is strongly based on the early 80’s thrash metal. When you add a touch of Savonian twistness to their music, you get Sawo Area Thrash Metal, which also has influences from death metal and doom.
History
The band’s early days and first album
The band started in 2021 and the first line-up included Tuomas and Elias Lepistö, Jarkko Pesonen and Esa Tuomela. The following year, the band practically practiced as a three-piece, and the first album Gods Of Death was recorded as a trio during the fall of 2022, with Tuomas Lepistö handling all the guitar parts. The album was self-published in December 2022.
The year 2023
After the release of the first album, it was clear that live performances would also be relevant in 2023, and for that the band needed another guitarist. Mika Kähärä from Pieksämäki was chosen as the guitarist and the band played it’s first gigs during the summer of 2023.
In autumn, the band started recording new songs alongside the gigs, and the EP Sons Of Alaheim was completed in November 2023, including five new songs.
