September 15th will see the release of “Ergo Atlas”, the upcoming full-length record by Portuguese progressive metal act APOTHEUS, which will be coming out via Black Lion Records. In support of the new album, today, the band has released their new single “The Unification Project”. The track is accompanied by a music video, which you can watch below.
APOTHEUS comments: “‘The Unification Project’ is a menacing and powerful song that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song describes a plan to unify all the galaxy’s living beings against their will, creating an oppressive force that looms over the album’s narrative. It starts with a cinematic and delicate intro, and gradually morphs into something that crushes your soul into pieces. We believe this to be one of the heaviest and suspenseful songs we’ve written, putting our most “progressive” facet to the test.“
With nine tracks spanning over 45 minutes, the band’s new album “Ergo Atlas” is a direct sequel to 2019’s critically acclaimed “The Far Star”, and APOTHEUS continue to explore their storytelling universe with the band’s unique blend of melody and experimentation.
Millions of years after “The Far Star” mission took place, an artificial intelligence comes up with an ingenious plan that puts life in the Universe at risk. In this second volume of the saga created in the 2019 album and book, inspired by the work of the science fiction writer Issac Asimov, APOTHEUS introduce new atmospheres and emotions in the nine chapters of the new album, in a roller coaster of melodies, messages and intrigues that will be revealed along with the musical and literary work sequel.
The album was produced by APOTHEUS and Jorge Lopes. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jorge Lopes at Redboxstudios, Portugal. “Ergo Atlas” is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

Thrash metal fans, brace yourself for an onslaught of unrelenting aggression as SINNERY return with their latest EP “Below the Summit”. Across five tracks, they harness the essence of true thrash, delivering a sonic storm that will leave fans and critics alike gasping for breath. The first single “Share This”, was written when Covid first started and it reflects on losing touch with what actually matters and being consumed by social media. The band comments:
“We’re super excited to finally release “Share This!.” It’s a song that injects extra energy into any venue we play it in and is probably one of the heaviest songs we’ve written. We wanted to combine new elements into our music and this one has some striking Sinnery riffs. “Share This” is about how technological progress has stripped us from our humanity and the way that social media is used to get some crazy messages into our heads where some of us cease to think for ourselves any longer.”
Sinney was formed in mid-2010 when Idan and Alon met at a music school in Herzliya, Israel, and were hitched together to play in a band, it didn’t lead anywhere right away, but after a few years of pursuing other interests, they eventually revived and the band took the form it has today. According to the band, writing “Below The Summit” was a very productive and consistent process, they really bled these songs out.
Sinnery believes that all of their existing fans will find that these five tracks implement what they are all about in the most concise way yet. From catchy choruses to parts heavier than ever before they feel this is their most complete work yet. “Below The Summit” is recommended for fans of Metallica, Power Trip, and Trivium.

Dutch blackened death metal veterans ONHEIL released their highly anticipated new album “In Black Ashes”, on June 23rd via Black Lion Records.
To celebrate in glorious style, the band has unleashed a furious new music video for the album’s titel track, which you can watch here:
ONHEIL have been spreading their raging melodic black and death metal since 1999 and with the band’s first two albums “Razor” (2009) & “Storm Is Coming” (2014) the Dutch quintet have left an impressive mark in extreme music that has been praised by critics and fans alike. Renowned for memorable hooks and harmonic melodies, the band now embarks on the next powerful chapter in the band’s history with “In Black Ashes”, delivering a well-played and well-written album that strives and succeeds to be both hard, heavy and aggressive, as well as melodic and enchanting.
ONHEIL’s third full-length album was mixed and mastered by legendary producer Dan Swanö (Dissection, Opeth, Dark Funeral, Bloodbath, Marduk, Insomnium) at the Unisound Studios, who also had nothing but praise for the band: “Very awesome record! A quite unique blend of classic Black/Thrash/Speed and even some New Wave of British Heavy metal in there, and tastefully topped off with some vibes of that Blackened Death metal that I did so much of in the mid 90’s. Highly Recommended!!”
So give ear and get the album HERE– “In Black Ashes” is out now on Black Lion Records!
19 years after their last sonic onslaught “Apocalyptic End In White“, US Black Metal band IMPERIAL CRYSTALLINE ENTOMBMENT, aka I.C.E., have awakened from self-imposed hibernation to return with a new work of frostbitten Art. A subzero blast of addictive and fucking unhinged savagery, “Ancient Glacial Resurgence” uses a maxed-out barrage of blistering riffage, biting first wave BM songcraft, harsh second wave coldness and the drive of thrashy full-throttle Death Metal to channel the ancient astral Anti-God Råvaskieth.
Tracklist:
01. Into A Frigid Bleak Infinity 02. Eternal Subzero Torment 03. Cataclysmic Glaciation 04. Of Blizzards And Banshees 05. Ravaskeith’s Crystalline Return 06. Petrified Cadaverous Wastelands 07. Savage Blizzard Stabbings 08. Opening The Imperial Gates 09. Ancient Lords Of White Death 10. Born To Freeze
“Ancient Glacial Resurgence” was mixed and mastered at Nightsky Recording studios. Mike Hrubovcak (AURORA BOREALIS, PATHOLOGY, SINISTER) designed the cover artwork.
Vocalist IceSickKill describes the collective’s forthcoming album:
“After years of spreading the message of hopeless frozen extinction upon the earth we felt the instinctual call of the Great Orbital Råvaskeith to return our physical bodies to a hibernative state in our hidden arctic cavern, while our energies were displaced onto other distant planets and within four alternate entities. The last years were not spent hibernating in action or essence, but rather continually spreading the cold white death further amongst the stars in our alternate forms on other distant dominions.
The repetitive howling shrieks of the ‘Astral Frost Invocation‘ from the loyal mortal servants below, has opened the archaic portal and reanimated I.C.E. once more to reign over Earth, so that we may begin the second wave of convulsing frigid annihilation. We have been revived and have arisen once more. Nothing has changed, as the excruciating pain of the clench of the ONE is unchanging and constant. I.C.E. is an ever-present essence in all subconscious hate and ever reoccurring in the cold bleak death of reality.
There is no disconnect from one or the other. All are bonded beyond the mountains, beyond space, and beyond all comprehension. These sonic vibrations were created under the rapturous pain of hypothermic possession while being infected with the spirits of those who channeled us. We cannot explain the connection of these two powers, because while we are under such possessions and drive, we are lost amongst the beautiful anguish of subhuman hatred and disgust for this rebellious explosive nebulae called life, and I.C.E. shall be its END.“
IMPERIAL CRYSTALLINE ENTOMBMENT now present ‘Into A Frigid Bleak Infinity‘ – the opening track of “Ancient Glacial Resurgence” – as a first sign of the coming white death storm: grim and frostbitten riffs, blasting beats and ferocious screams are enveloped in harsh, yet powerful production. Listen here:
IceSickKill comments:
“It is the first spell of the second wave of attack of extreme cold, which is meant to blanket the feeble creatures and paralyzed souls of man in unending torment. It was not written but invoked though the dead fingers of our corporeal bodies, manifested by the ONE, however there is not one special creation, not one special creature, all is worthless in the eyes of the great bleak infinity. Powerless and frigid, humanity shall be overcome with the ever-flowing energy of the great Råvaskeith, who came before all, and who will END all. A return to cold by the IMPERIAL CRYSTALLINE ENTOMBMENT!“
“Ancient Glacial Resurgence” will be released via Debemur Morti Productions on CD, vinyl, tape & digital, accompanied by merchandise, on September 1st. Pre-orders are possible via the label’s EU, US and Bandcamp shops. The exclusive DMP vinyl edition will solely be purchasable from DMP.
Originating in 2003 after the arctic summoning of the ancient astral Anti-God “Råvaskieth”, IMPERIAL CRYSTALLINE ENTOMBMENT was manifested through the hypothermic possession of four unwilling dead souls. Their identities died the minute their hearts were ripped from their chests and cast upon the whirling winds of the “Crystalline Blisserred Shrine”.
Driven by the inherent will of timeless hatred to freeze all Worlds and return the Universe and all of its Dimensions to the original bleak, empty void of colourless cold death, “IceSickKill”, “Blisserred”, “Bleak” and “Mammoth” vowed to stop at nothing until this frozen wasteland was achieved.
The now infamous “Apocalyptic End In White” album was conjured in 2004 and released on its unsuspecting victims with extreme violence as the first wave of cryonic encapsulation. After years of spreading pummelling, hopeless extinction upon the earth with the use of their supreme brand of sonic devastation, I.C.E. was called by the instinctual pull of the “Great Orbital Råvaskeith” to return their bodies to a hibernative state, while their energies were displaced onto other distant planets and within four alternate entities, who have been spreading the cold white death further amongst the stars.
20 years have now passed and the repetitive howling shrieks of the “Astral Frost Invocation” from the loyal mortal servants below, have opened the archaic portal and reanimated I.C.E. once more to reign over Earth and begin the second wave of convulsing frigid annihilation.
Awakening within caverns of ice and snow, I.C.E. have returned from the abyss, across the frozen emptiness of space! All shall perish! Your children shall continue to be abducted and skinned under the piercing blizzard winds of the Arctic Aurora, until the vast army of ghastly “Lycanthropic Banshee Hordes” arrive!

Hip-hop legend Run DMC’s Darryl McDaniels is featured on a brand-new version of CLASSLESS ACT’s single “Storm Before the Calm,” including an original verse he wrote just for the track, released today alongside a new music video. See itHERE.
“It was a beautiful collaboration that shows the powerful potential of music – like when Steven Tyler took the mic stand in ‘Walk This Way’ and knocked down the wall that separated us. Even to this day, people talk about it. … I think this song too is going to be very motivating and inspiring to all generations,” says DMC about the collaboration, which is in celebration of the one-year anniversary of Classless Act’s debut album Welcome To The Show, released June 24, 2022 via Better Noise Music and kicked off a huge breakthrough year for the Los Angeles-based five-piece.
Since the Spring of 2022, Classless Act racked up millions of streams and logged 100 live shows, including opening for Dorothy, playing the summer blockbuster Stadium Tour opening for Motley Crue and Def Leppard, as well as an appearance at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert at L.A.’s Kia Forum on Sept. 27 where Classless Act frontman Derek Day joined Dave Grohl and members of the Foo Fighters. All of it gained critical acclaim for the band, with press hailing Classless Act as “the next big thing in music” (Next Mosh) and “very reminiscent of when rock reigned supreme” (Loudwire).
It was on the road when the collaboration of DMC and Classless Act – frontman Derek Day, guitarists Dane Pieper and Griffin Tucker, bassist Franco Gravante and drummer Chuck McKissock – first went public. The rapper was a surprise guest during Classless Act’sStadium Tour set at L.A.’s SOFI Stadium.
“The beauty of making this song with them was the whole intention of us doing it, which was performing together,” DMC adds, saying the track – combining one of the buzziest new rock bands with hip-hop’s godfathers – “breaks down generational walls.”
“That was really the intent behind the songwriting of ‘Storm Before The Calm,’” explains Classless Act frontman Derek Day. “We’re this new band, but we’ve been playing music our whole lives. We want to be this thunder when we make our presence. But we’ve been trying our whole lives to break through. We’ve gone, we suffered, ‘we’ve crawled into the void, laid down and tasted the noise.’ No matter what, we’re going to come in and punch through and be the thunder.”
As far as DMC sees it, that fire and spark is what is crucial in today’s rock scene. “That spirit is missing right now in music, that rebellion,” he says, adding that Classless Act is a great example of rock’s potential. “Punk had one finger up, hip-hop came along and had two fingers up and now Classless Act is going to make us put up four fingers.”
Stay tuned to more releases from this special cameo, including live footage released from the SOFI Stadium guest appearance.
Classless Act is currently in the studio working on new material that will follow up Welcome To The Show, with more details to be announced soon.
With scheduled dates in August as main support to Australian Hard Rockers, Airbourne, VENDETTA LOVE have released a brand new single ‘On & On’, the band’s first new music site the release of their “I Am” EP in 2022.
Without question, a band that captures the true essence of hard rock, Vendetta Love possess all the elements of what makes a true, dangerous hard rock entity. Like a hybrid of late ‘80s Guns n Roses with elements of Nirvana, Alice in Chains and a dollop of reckless Punk attitude, Vendetta Love are the real deal, and they are coming for you!
‘On & On’ sees the band push their mandate of intoxicating groove-laden riffs transporting the listener back to the sticky floors of late night clubs that once nurtured unbridled, exciting new Rock music that provided the soundtrack to some of the best nights of our lives.
Speaking of the new track, vocalist/guitarist Shawn Mullen says; ’’Lyrically, for me anyway, On and On is about the dance between being aware of the rat race we’re all in in one way or another and the lies we tell ourselves to justify it.. The song itself came together pretty quickly. It’s a simple song, really, a little brighter than most of our stuff but it’s got a certain groove that makes it a lot of fun to play live. It’s been second in our set for a little while now and has been going down really well with the audience as far as we can tell so we’re excited to get it out there.’’
Vendetta Love will be performing as special guests to Airbourne August 1st in Belfast Limelight (SOLD OUT) August 2nd, Dublin Academy (SOLD OUT)
