All is flux, nothing stands still – and neither do WAZZARA. The Swiss Post Metal/Blackgaze formation around composer Barbara Brawand recorded three new songs in late 2022 and early 2023 which will be released as EP “Ombreine” on April 30, 2023.

“Ombreine” tells of archaic visions and alpine myths, and is dedicated to transience, the vanity of existence and the destructiveness of nature, slumbering within all of us.

In a simultaneously heavy, somber, and ethereal manner, WAZZARA weave elements of Doom, Post Metal and Blackgaze into their very own web of abysses and yet luminosity.

NEVERWAKE Release Re-Imagined Cover of Billy Idol’s ‘Rebel Yell’

NeverWake start the 2023 year off with a blast releasing their single cover of Billy Idol’s 80’s rock anthem “Rebel Yell” for the song’s 40th year anniversary.

“We are very selective on the music we like to cover and this one hit home with us. We pursued this track because not only is it a rock anthem, but it holds a bit of nostalgia for the band. My father is a musician and I grew up watching his band on stage over the years with my jaw on the floor, just awestruck as a kid. He would cover lots of tracks but I always loved when he did Billy Idol. When our former drummer Marcus Giannamore brought his ideas for this rendition to the table it lit a fire inside of me because it brought me back to the days of me watching my dad’s band just kick ass on stage. He was my first inspiration to lead me to what we do today. And we’d love to pass that on,” says Johnny DiCarlo.

NeverWake is a haunting sinew of hard rock and metalcore out of Pittsburgh PA. Captivating melodies are entwined with heavy grooves that refuse to leave the mind. They have toured the US, played various national festivals, shared the stage with bands such as Falling In Reverse, All That Remains, and many more.

CAPRA Announce April Shows Supporting KILLSWITCH ENGAGE + More

Louisiana-based metallic hardcore outfit CAPRA will support Killswitch Engage on five special shows this Spring. The short April run will make its way through Baltimore, Charlotte, Norfolk, Lancaster, and Cleveland. Additional support will be provided by Currents.

Comments vocalist Crow Lotus, “Killswitch Engage puts on one hell of a show and we were lucky enough to catch them headline Furnace Fest 2021! It’s going to be an honor to share a stage with them. We’re all stoked!“

The dates with Killswitch Engage follow the band’s Southeast headlining tour, currently underway. This June,  CAPRA will appear on Benefit Bash to help support the Sloss Furnace Foundation. Presented by Furnace Fest, the event will be held on Saturday, June 17th and features Darkest Hour, The Acacia Strain,  Integrity,  Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster, Left To Suffer, and others. Profits from the event will go toward improving areas related to the Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark including stage repair, enhanced lighting, planting new grass etc.

SOILWORK Welcome Simon Johansson as New Permanent Member + HORIZON IGNITED Join Co-Headline Tour with KATAKLYSM

Just having finished the first leg of their European tour with their labelmates KATAKLYSM, Swedish melodic death metal veterans SOILWORK are about to embark on the second half of the tour with exciting news.
The band welcomes Simon Johansson to their ranks, completing the line-up again. Simon Johansson will step in as SOILWORK‘s new guitar player.

SOILWORK states:
“We are excited to finally welcome Simon Johansson to the Soilwork family as a permanent member. Simon has been with us on a session basis since 2019 and not only has he proven himself to be a solid guitar player, but also a humble human being and a true gentleman in some of the most challenging years of the band’s history. We love you and we are grateful that you are part of our band”. 
 
Simon adds:
”I’m super stoked and very humbled to be the new guitarist in Soilwork. 
I have been a fan of the band since way back and now to be a part of the Soilwork legacy is a huge honor. 
We first started to work together in 2019 when I joined as their session touring guitarist and during this time my admiration for the band has just grown. Now happy and proud to be joining my brothers as a full-time member and I’m thrilled to be a part of the next chapter of Soilwork”.

For the second leg of the co-headline tour of KATAKLYM and SOILWORK, the bands wll be joined by their labelmates HORIZON IGNITED. The Finnish melodic death metal force released their second album Towards The Dying Lands last summer via NUCLEAR BLAST, globally lauded by critics and fans. The band will replace WILDERUN who unfortunately have to drop out of the tour due to family health matters taking precedence. Thetour will start out from Denmark, adding another 28 cities to their record and finish their extensiv tour in the Netherlands.

CULTUS BLACK have just released their debut self-titled album just days before they are set to join the “Rise of the Machines” tour. They will share the stage with bands such as Static-X, Fear Factory, Dope, Mushroomhead and Twiztid March 22nd through April 15th.

Cultus Black is a new, up and coming metal project that many have described as the natural evolution of Nu-metal. Mixing aspects of nu-metal, metalcore, deathcore and just plain good song writing. Swedish Metal phenomenon ALL WASTED has released their third new single “Bad Sign”. Known for their raw and catchy Death ´n´ Roll sound, the band has once again delivered a headbanging, foot-stomping track that is sure to get fans moving.

“Bad Sign” is a taste of the band’s new and heavier sound, which promises to take their music to the next level. The single is accompanied by a lyric video.
