Fantastic metal quartet THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON have released the fourth single and their first original song, the harmonic “The Gates of Time”. The fourth single from debut album, Metamorphosis, highlights Melissa Bonny’s distinctive voice, combined with the beautiful harp playing by Jenny Diehl. 

Formed by members of Feuerschwanz, Amaranthe and Ad Infinitum, THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON has charmed fans with their three previous singles – the enchanting soundtrack covers “Jenny Of Oldstones”, “May It Be” and “Double Trouble / Lumos! (Hedwig’s Theme)”. The band is set to release their astonishing debut album, Metamorphosis, on May 12, 2023 via Napalm Records.

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON started with a bet between AD INFINITUM singer Melissa Bonny and Hans Platz, the guitarist of FEUERSCHWANZ. Whoever lost owed the other a “dare”. Hans won and challenged Melissa to record a metal version of their first ever single “Jenny Of Oldstones”, and the rest is history! Exploring the fantastical lives of famous pop culture heroes since their childhood, the multitalented musicians transform soundtracks of worldwide known movies, TV shows and video games into powerful metal tracks on the debut album Metamorphosis. 

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON don’t just limit themselves to cover versions, but also include new, original songs dedicated to their favorite warriors. Marching into the great worlds of The Lord of the Rings, the band paints the Grammy-nominated soundtrack “May It Be”, featuring Charlotte Wessels (ex-DELAIN), in a new light, while the mystic song “Misty Mountains” (feat. EVERGREY’s Tom S. Englund) of The Hobbit film trilogy underlines the tragic story through melodic folk vocal lines and rousing guitar riff choirs.

Like the seven untamed seas, the melodies appear in energetic and rousing waves, while others head towards the shore in an exciting, elegant and soulful rhythm. DEIMOS’ DAWN Release Video for ‘Feeding The Decline’ from Upcoming Album

On 14 April, Berlin thrashers from DEIMOS’ DAWN (with ex-Morgoth Marc Grewe on vocals) will release their eagerly awaited debut album “Anthem Of The Lost” on CD and Vinyl via MDD Records.

To bridge the waiting time until then, the album’s opener “Feeding The Decline” will be released as a single on all common download and streaming platforms as well as a video on YouTube, for which ex-Sodom guitarist Andy Brings is responsible.

The album, which contains 12 classic thrash metal neckbreakers, is already available for pre-order at some retailers and the MDD Shop. The final tracklist of “Anthem Of The Lost” is below. The record release show will take place at a Helmfest warm-up on 8 April at the KufA in Braunschweig.

‘Start from Nothing’ is the debut album of Israeli modern rockers, Oceans on Orion. Standing at the melting point of multiple genres, audiences, and generations, Oceans on Orion unique blend of 80s golden era guitar-vocals, modern riffing, and powerful stage performance, packs a punch and a promise for old school metallers, emo kids new and old, as well as heavier music lovers.

The 9 song release was preceded by 5 singles released in 2022-2023, featuring the anthemic,  “Tomorrows Rain”, and “Weaponized Misery”, a powerful duet with Ran Yerushalmi, from fellow Israeli Alt-metal band, Walkways.

Thematically, the album explores relationships – with oneself, with a partner, with authority, and with expectations. While some songs scream into the void, expressing the frustration and heightened emotions these subjects invoke, others offer encouragement, motivation, and more often than not, a challenge.

One such moment is the very opening line of the album, “If you’re too scared to start from nothing, nothing is all that you deserve”. It dares us to take the offensive, to turn the tables, to de-victimize ourselves and build “a life worth living, come together, on the broken pieces of our past.” as taken from the closing track, “Confront yourself”. 

With standout tracks like “Tomorrow’s Rain”, Start from Nothing,” “Love,” and “Weaponized Misery” the album showcases lead singer Lev Kerzhner’s powerhouse vocals, and the band’s songwriting versatility.

MEGALITH LEVITATION materialized from the eternal void and acid vapors of Chelyabinsk, Russia in April 2016 to bare their psalms into this world. The servitors of the cult were chosen: SAA – Sermons & Fuzzmagic, KKV – Thunderbass, PAN – Skullhammers and until now remain unchanged. The debut full-length album “Acid Doom Rites” was released in September 2019 digitally on [addicted label] (No Name). In November Hymns of Apocalypse released the CD.

In 2020, the band released a split with Dekonstruktor. The digi CD edition came out via the British label Aestethic Death. Truly hypnotic atmospheric stuff from both bands.

Spring 2021 marked a return to concert activity. Concerts in support of Il and Bitch Meat took place in the Ural region and the band appeared at big festivals such as Joy 5 and Shallow Grave 5.

On October 1st, 2021, the second album “Void Psalms” was released via Aestethic Death (CD), Pestis Insaniae (cassette) and digitally by [addicted label]. During the past year MEGALITH LEVITATION worked on the recording of a new album. “Obscure Fire” will be released on March 31st, 2023 via Aesthetic Death (digi CD), Sounds of Karachun (tape) and [addicted label] (digital).

MOLEKH Release First Song + Video ‘Vocare Pulvere’ from Debut Album

MOLEKH is a black/death/avant-garde metal band from Dublin, Ireland. The band was formed in 2017 by three members of Polish black/folk metal band Thy Worshiper.

Band is going to release their debut full-length album “Ritus”. Music was recorded by Shauny Cads at Hellfire Studio (Abigail Williams, Dread Sovereign, Malthusian) and mixed by Shauny Cads at Last Light Recordings. Haldor Grunberg who cooperated with Azarath and Behemoth was responsible for mastering. Front cover was done by Krzysztof Wronski Artwork (ROSK, The Throne), while layout was designed by BlackTeamMedia (Feto in Fetus, Sanctus Hexe).

Date of release is scheduled on March 27, 2023 and will be released by Australian Pale Ghoul Recordings (tape) and Canadian Bent Window Records (CD). The pre-order of the album will be launched soon on the band’s Bandcamp.

Band commentary about the album: “Named by his name. Through blood and possession. Through the ashes of the flame and the abyss of summoning. Seven Dragon heads, seven faces of the beast. Seven rituals of fire, blood, assassination, and hatred.

‘Ritus’ is the first full-length album by Molekh and is comprised of a story concealed within the music that aims to place the listener into a dark, savage and possessed place full of natural evil. The music is intense, gloomy, atmospheric, and heavy. It is a 7-track concept album, running at 40 minutes”.
