Brazilian death-thrashers TORTURE SQUAD have released the brand new video for their latest single “Flukeman”, off of their new album, “Devilish”, out now via Time To Kill Records.
“Flukeman” is a mysterious horror story inspired by a character from the X-Files series, a mutant humanoid that hides in water to attack its victims.
“Devilish” is an album surrounded by a dark atmosphere, its lyrics show urges experienced in our century, such as the constant degradation of the Amazon rainforest and the population increasingly affected by psychological illnesses such as anxiety and depression. At the same time, it opens windows of escape for an imaginary world inspired by games, series and fiction books.
In their second album with the new lineup, Mayara Puertas (Voice), Rene Simionato (Guitar), Castor (Bass) and Amilcar Christófaro (Drums) transcend the sound of extreme metal with maturity, incorporating progressive metal, influences from Brazilian music and symphonic elements.
The album also honors Brazilian heroes with a participation of Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) in the track “Buried Alive”, and a tribute to Rickson Gracie the resilient fighter of Jiu Jitsu considered one of the greatest legends in this sport, the theme of the track “Warrior”. The band also mobilized several musicians related to indigenous causes in their country to collaborate on the song “Uatumã”, making an appeal for the preservation of the Amazon in a song that flows in an powerful way with the speeches of the indigenous leader Raoni Metuktire and tribal rhythms.
For the cover art, the band had Marcelo Vasco, a Brazilian illustrator who has already created artworks for Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Soulfly among others.
Tracklist:
01 Hell is Coming 02 Flukeman 03 Buried Alive 04 Warrior 05 Sanctuary 06 Uatumã 07 Thoth 08 Mabus 09 Find My Way 10 Gaia 11 Farewell To Mankind 12 The Last Journey
Finnish melancholic death metal 5-piece DEAD SERENITY has released their debut album “When Worlds Turn to Gray”. On their music the band focuses on strong melodies. On lyrics they let the full scale of human emotions and behavior carry the music from an atmosphere to another – from sensibility to ecstasy and from distress to aggression.
”The album continues on the path we embarked on with our EP three years ago. In the years between, the world seems to have turned increasingly bleak, which can be heard in the lyrics as well as the soundscapes of the album. When Worlds Turn To Gray serves as a perfect accompaniment to the darkening autumn evenings when light slowly fades away”, the band describes
The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Dead Serenity’s guitarist and main composer Toni Lind. Graphics and lyric videos created by Jonas Eriksson.
The Execution is the latest hard-hitting single from innovative melodic metal project THE CROWN REMNANT. The Execution sees a return to aggressive metalcore roots with this reimagining of their classic song complete with heart-pounding guitar riffs, powerful screams and beautiful harmony.
Follow the story of a conqueror who gives up everything to find his purpose in this anticipated single heralding the band’s upcoming masterpiece record, Rise Of The Wicked King.
Rise Of The Wicked King | Released November 14th, 2023 via Sliptrick Records

What if your lawyer looked like this? Yes it’s true, Bjørn Alexander Brem aka GOTHMINISTER is a well known lawyer in Norway. Next week, on Thursday November 2, 2023, his industrial gothic metal band GOTHMINISTER will embark on their first leg of the PANDEMONIUM EUROPEAN TOUR, promoting the highly acclaimed and award-winning album by the same name!
In the world of hard and heavy sounds and impressive theatrical live stage shows, GOTHMINISTER have earned themselves a reputation of being “one of the most iconic gothic/industrial metal acts”. Not only has their power-laden sound with its remarkable atmospheric density inspired their audiences since 1999, its eloquent fantasy stories have also transported them to uncharted territories.
Don’t miss GOTHMINISTER and a breathtaking show – coming to a theatre near you this November – fighting monsters, demons and zombies on stage, and even risking losing his own breath, for the first time entering a water walking ball on stage wearing laser gloves. If that’s not enough, he will also shoot a huge monster with a co2 cannon and much more! There will be a meet and greet after each show – and if you’re lucky – maybe you can also get a piece of free legal advice while you’re there? Find all upcoming live dates listed below!
Furthermore, just recently GOTHMINISTER has announced its latest coup: ‘Pandemonium II: The Battle Of The Underworlds’! The new album release by the Norwegians is set to be unleashed in 2024 via AFM Records, taking up where its 2022 predecessor ‘Pandemonium’ left off: The much-acclaimed album conquered the charts as number one, and was voted as the ‘Album Of The Year 2022’ at the Dark Music Awards, while its single ‘This Is Your Darkness‘ also made it to number one on the German Alternative Charts. GOTHMINISTER´s music videos for ‘Pandemonium’ and ‘Demons’ won stunning 19 film awards worldwide.
To ease your wait for their new album, GOTHMINISTER have just recently shared a first song, titled ‘I Am The Devil’, taken off their forthcoming offering. Now, they are premiering a haunting video for new single “Battle Of The Underworlds”! Watch the new video clip streaming at:
“In Pandemonium, history repeated itself; the king is dead, long live the king! This circle of evil, on the other hand, is something that the Gothminister king himself has arranged for and wanted, so that the power of the kingdom under the same “clan” will live on forever.” GOTHMINISTER reveals.
“In the follow-up music video, «Battle of the Underworlds», we go back in time before the death of the Gothminister king in «Pandemonium».
We see that during the Gothminister King’s time as ruler, his Kingdom was attacked by another Underworld, consisting of witches and werewolves who had joined forces with a plan to overthrow Gothminister’s kingdom. The witches are concerned with balance in this world, and now they fear too much power centralized in one clan, so they plan this attack against Gothminister’s kingdom to strengthen their own side by making a pact with the werewolves.
Especially pay attention to the video towards the end, and maybe it will give som you some answers to what really happened before «Pandemonium»…Please comment what your thoughts to the story are!”
All new GOTHMINISTER songs were composed and written by Bjørn Alexander Brem, who also produced the new release. The mix is courtesy of Henning Verlage (Unheilig, Eisbrecher) and Norwegian sound engineer Morten Lund, who has worked with Morten Harket (A-ha), among others, was in charge of the album mastering. “The new material is faster and catchier than that of the predecessor album, but at the same time it sounds even more complex and modern, with more sophisticated vocal melodies and challenging breaks,” Brem recently said, “at the same time the driving beats for the dancefloor and the concept of ultra-low-sounding, tough guitar riffs are still present and link both recordings.”
Watch out for many more album details and single/video releases to follow in the months ahead, and make sure to catch the one and only GOTHMINISTER live at the following dates this year:

Helsinki-based extreme metal band KNEEL BEFORE THE DEATH releases new single “I Am The One”. The band is known for their skills to combine massive sound walls to brutal extreme metal expression.
Band Comments on the song: “´I Am The One´ is the continuation to Kneel Before The Death’s previous single, ´Eternal Sleep´. Filled by hate, the protagonist heads towards a final challenge, one he has never faced before. Only one will prevail. This fight won’t be over until it is won.”
Band’s drummer Konsta Vihavainen comments: “When we started to write this song, the idea was to create a piece of music with a massive chorus as its centerpiece. Something that would instantly catch the listener’s attention. In addition, we wanted to explore soundscapes that our band hasn’t previously touched upon, and the result is a dynamic and massive extreme metal song. This track is truly a unique combination of haunting guitar melodies, beautiful orchestrals and lots of blast beats.”
Composers: Konsta Vihavainen, Niko Lappalainen, Joonas Peltonen
Lyrics: Markus Raito, Konsta Vihavainen
