Finnish IAMBER Sign with Wormholedeath, Reissue Latest Album “Mercurial Shakes”

Finnish noisy post-rock band IAmber is proud to announce that they have signed with Wormholedeath Records for the reissue of their latest album, “Mercurial Shakes”. The album, which was previously self-released, will be reissued on a wider scale with Wormholedeath, giving the band a larger platform to showcase their unique sound and style.

The band stated:

We are excited to get together with Wormholedeath in releasing and promoting our work and are grateful for the opportunities and creative freedom that are possible with this collaboration. Hopefully, we are in for a fruitful ride with the label. (Teemu Elo, bass)

“Mercurial Shakes” is not a concept album in the strict sense, but it has some central themes that are recurring throughout the tracks. These themes revolve around the cyclic and repeating nature of time and life as well as the ever-more manifesting change in the state of the natural environment on our planet. It addresses a few key feelings that have manifested from these themes, that needed to be let out and preserved in the songs.

The writing of the album was a very intuitive process, utilizing some ideas first conceived many years ago and merging them together with new ones to mould the songs. The recording was done in the Finnish countryside near Jyväskylä in two sessions.

Musically a lot of influence comes from the so-called post-metal-type sound, but overall the inspirations are pretty diverse and the sound has always been evolving into something else. As always, the goal was to cultivate our sound and let it grow in its own direction.

As with every release we have made, on this album, there was also a kind of “auteur” approach to the work, as we handled all creative aspects and decisions ourselves (from music production to album artwork).

Launched from Turenki, Finland in 2011, IAmber rides the deep currents of noisy post-rock & sludgy metal, capturing sounds that can evoke images of autumn twilight, the nameless dread of existence, the dust of Pompeii, or the glow of a secret fire. Explorers of some loud genres with the prefix “post-” will find familiar echoes in the band’s soundscape, but there are also hints of alternative melodies and beauty within.

Before “Mercurial Shakes”, IAmber released two albums, “Agalma” (2014) and “Rueris” (2016) and an EP “True Will Directs the Path” (2018).

Mid-Atlantic rockers SILVERTUNG are back! Following a two-year hiatus of uncertainty, they were left with the most important decision of their music career…shut down or face the adversity they’ve been dealt.
 
“Giving up was NOT an option,” asserts lead vocalist, Speed Vincent. After experiencing the world-changing effects of the pandemic, he reformed Silvertung with all new members and a reinvented sound.

Injecting new styles and ideas, Silvertung is setting their own pace and rules within the quartet’s musicianship. Their newest single “INTEGRITY” is an unrelenting sonic message with intense, hard-hitting beats, aggressive guitar riffs and confident, demanding statements like “Hope you see the light, before the light becomes your enemy.” Unified with infectious melodies, fierce screaming vocals, and harmonies, firing up a massive, uplifting chorus. Mastering the elusive balance between surprising new elements, without deviating from the empowering motivation the band is known for.

Psych Doom act CAVERN DEEP have lauched their own label​ ‘Bonebag Records‘.

“After having been active in the heavy music scene for a while, we thought this was a great time to try and start a label of our own. For one it is great to have the luxury of working on our own terms and our own schedule. This will enable us to release more music and to put in the work ourselves to realize it. We are also hoping this is going to be a way for us to give something back to the music scene that has embraced us.

We are looking forward to putting out a lot of good releases, our first one is going to be the next Cavern Deep album. It is due for release this summer.

TARCHON FIST Announce Details of Upcoming Studio Album “The Flame Still Burns” + Unveil Video for First Single

Italy’s NWOTHM band TARCHON FIST have announced the details of their fifth studio album, “The Flame Still Burns”, which will be released via Underground Symphony on April 28th 2023.

The band comments: “The genesis and development of this album are the result of what we did during the lockdown which the pandemic forced us between 2020 and 2021. The common thread throughout record is passion, a concept we tried to decline on every song.“

The video for the first single “Soldiers in White” deals with the emotional distress provoked by Covid pandemic.

TARCHON FIST state: “Covid-19 pandemic changed everything and that is a matter of fact. Despite the many restrictions which forced us to work remotely during repeated and sudden lockdowns, we never stopped pursuing our projects which have always been driven by the great passion for what we do. Therefore, we have chosen the passion in all its forms – for music, for sports, for the defense of the values in which each of us believes, such as love for our neighbor – as the main theme of this album. For example, on the song ‘Soldiers in White’ we tried to pay a fitting tribute to the medical and nursing personnel who lost their lives attempting to save the lives of other people during the pandemic. We imagined these heroes as soldiers in white, fallen but not forgotten.“

“The Flame Still Burns” was recorded and produced by TARCHON FIST at Roberto Priori’s PriStudio and Luciano Tattin’s Studio Tarconte.
 
The artwork was created by Mr. Stan W. D., who has already worked on the previous album “Apocalypse”.

Ukrainian RISIN SABOTAGE to Release New Album “Macabre” on June 2nd, Unleash New Track

RISIN SABOTAGE are set to release their new album “Macabre” June 2, 2023.

The album was written during the time of the global pandemic and mastered during the currently ongoing war in our country, Ukraine.

These events have definitely affected the sound and, as a result, the title of this album.

The release features nine songs that tell nine stories. Some of them put you in the atmosphere of today’s horrors, and others help you escape them.

Kyiv based Risin Sabotage slams with heavy psych and desert rock since 2015. In the quest for a new sound the music is giving the best of desert rock, heavy psych, stoner and doom. Risin Sabotage’s fuzzy riffs and grooves inspired by the sounds of 70’s astound with the incredible energetic performance.

HIGHSOCIETY is back with an explosive metalcore dubstep mash up in collaboration with acclaimed EDM artist Micah Martin. Micah Martin gives a fierce vocal performance laced through a driving EDM soundscape. “Going Under” is a turbulent twist of metalcore, dubstep, with fierce rock overtones. 

“‘Going Under’ is basically the most overdue collaboration ever,” explains HIGHSOCIETY. “Micah and I are both former rock band guys who’ve found our footing in the bass music world by bringing the energy of rock and metal into an EDM container. When I began to put together my list of potential collaborators for my forthcoming album on FiXT, Micah was a must-have, given his aggressive, larger-than-life vocal delivery!’”

Travis Barker would later remix “Kill Me Better” and add his own alternative flare to the song. Micah has also worked with some of the biggest names in EDM, here are a few notable artists: Jauz, Kayzo, Slander, Brooks, Rebelion, Dirty Palm, Bear Grillz, Black Tiger Sex Machine, William Black, Fairlane, Crystal Skies, Ghastly, Frank Zummo, and PhaseOne.
