It is Finally LIVE and streaming on all music platforms! “Rituales Sagrados” EP by the extreme metal band SIGLOS is out today!

“Rituales Sagrados” will take listeners on a journey through an explanation of Ancestral Medicine such as Ayahuasca, intense methods of self-reflection, and connection to our inner selves – as well as our own mortality.

You can listen to “Rituales Sagrados” on all streaming platforms at this location.

The EP will also include two previous tracks “Por Los Siglos” and “Morir Para Vivir.”

SIGLOS embodies true power in Heavy Metal combining extreme elements with Black Metal, Doom Metal, and Industrial Metal creating a transformative musical experience. Based out of Los Angeles, California, SIGLOS’s band members include two-time Grammy-nominated guitarist, Sin Quirin, (formerly of Ministry) and insanely powerful vocalist and member of Transtorno, Pedro Sanchez. The group just released their EP titled “Rituales Sagrados”and its unique sound promises to give metal lovers an immersion into their own spirituality, along with a deep dive into the intense, extreme and evocative sound that SIGLOS has established since their genesis. “Rituales Sagrados”was produced, mixed, and mastered by Alex Crescioni at Stygian Sound.

By blending their Mexican and Spanish heritage into ritualistic lyrics, exploring non-traditional techniques with rhythms, chanting – and even having a Shaman perform a cleansing ritual on their lead singer during the shooting of their music video for their most recent release, “Morir Para Vivir”.

“Rituales Sagrados” will peak the interests of metal lovers and leave them yearning for more.” –  Alex Crescioni , Music Producer at Stygian Sound.

The first track off the EP, “Soga De Los Muertos,” is an immersive experience right from the start. Lead guitarist Sin Quirin (and catalyst for the genesis of the band) shares, “For me, this song touches on the “sound” people seem to know me for. It has that “industrial-ish” element to it.” Lead singer Pedro Sanchez dives into the deeper meaning of the song when he shares, “Soga De Los Muertos” is a song honoring the Spirit of the Ancestral Medicine “Ayahuasca”. The translation of the word of Ayahuasca is “Soga De Los Muertos” or “Soga De Los Espiritus” which in English is “Rope of the Dead” or “Rope of The Spirits.” He explains, “when I go into Ayahuasca Ceremonies, it takes us to the world of the dead – which is the Spirit realm where you can work to heal health, physical, mental and emotional blockages to live better.”

On “Gran Espejo De Humo,” the second track off the EP, Sin explains it as a classic “barn burner – fast, up-tempo, and relentless.” On the other hand, Pedro chose to describe it as a very personal song; “It’s when you find the courage to look deep into the Smoking Mirror of your reflection and find or figure out all the ugly parts of us that make us ignorant.” The complexity of this EP seems to evoke different feelings in its listeners, as well as its creators.

The third track off the EP, “Llaves Sagradas” goes to show the band’s true versatility and boundary-pushing nature, while diving into their deep spirituality. Pedro shares that “Llaves Sagradas” or “Sacred Keys” is about using Ancestral Medicines to unlock information from the spirit realm to reconnect with our inner selves. According to producer Alex Crescioni, Sin’s “brilliant mechanical heavy riffage and song arrangements” along with Pedro’s heavy chorus made working on this track, and the album as a whole an unforgettable experience.

The EP’s innate uniqueness is best described by Crescioni when he states, “when listening to the EP, you will find yourself immersed into 5 different scenes of ancient indigenous kingdoms.”

Iconic musician, guitarist, bandleader, and main songwriter for thrash metal band Exodus Gary Holt shares, “Sin has been a solid backbone to everything he’s been involved in and it’s great to see him stepping out now to do his own thing. He is a true rockstar in every sense of the word.” And similarly, musician Todd La Torre, lead singer for progressive metal band Queensrÿche describes Sin as “a unique talent, an underrated guitar hero, and a key dynamic member of every project he’s done.”

The combination of Sin’s power in his craft, along with Pedro’s unstoppable vocals allow them to excel as a creative duo and create extreme metal music that moves its audience beyond just listening – and awakens the spirit inside of its audience.

TORCHIA Release New Single + Music Video ‘La Magra’

Finnish melodic death metal necromancers TORCHIA release a new song ‘La Magra’ with a striking music video. The song is the first single from the band’s upcoming third album.

– ‘La Magra’ is a soul-ripping remedy found in evil and misery. For such a spiteful story, a touch of the melancholy of Finnish language was definitely needed. When it comes to the composition, the song is an unprecedentedly nasty Torchia tune, and the main riff takes no prisoners – without forgetting melody, guitarist Ville Riitamaa elaborates.

The sinister music video, typical of Torchia, was produced in collaboration with Obliviart Productions. The video uses CGI graphics, which is a whole new element for the band.

– When we started writing the script, I soon realized that we are about go beyond this reality. The story of the song was simply crying for visual effects. The end result takes the viewer to another world, says vocalist Edward Torchia.

The band’s third album will be released later in the autumn. The album is a sequel to the widely acclaimed ‘Of Curses and Grief’ and ‘The Coven’.

Torchia take to the stage next time on 10th of February at the legendary Yo-talo in their hometown Tampere with the warm-up acts Anzillu and Sirkuit Preiker.

LORD OF THE LOST Nominated for Germany’s Eurovision Song Contest Preliminary Round

German genre-fusing dark rock outfit LORD OF THE LOST have been nominated to compete for presenting Germany in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with the title track of their recent surprise album release, “Blood & Glitter”, which hit #1 on Official German Album Charts.

Chris Harms on the nomination:
“We are a band that has never consciously adapted to anyone or anything. No trend, no scene, no expectation. We have always done what we like ourselves – at all times. That we are now being considered for the biggest music show in the world with our weird genre mix, as authentic and unbowed as we are, is a great honor and we are extremely looking forward to being able to make the ESC pre-selection a little more colorful in many ways. A song like “Blood & Glitter” is very hard for the German TV and radio landscape – it will polarize. And since we love contrasts, it makes it all the more exciting for us. Friends, it’s going to get loud on German television on March 3!”

Formed back in 1956, the international song competition Eurovision Song Contest is one of the biggest music events worldwide. Germany has landed last or second to last six times in the past seven years, but LORD OF THE LOST could very well be the new hope for a better placement in the final – with heavier bands such as Lordi in 2006 and Måneskin in 2021 previously winning the whole competition!

On the band’s eighth album, LORD OF THE LOST enter a new era of exciting 70s glam rock visuals, and add a blend of 80s new wave and pop influences as well as gothic and electronic elements to their own, relevant modern metal style, impressing both fans and critics.

In other news, LORD OF THE LOST have just released a single edit of their song “Leave Your Hate In The Comments”, off of Blood & Glitter. The track was inspired by hateful social media comments, and was also released together with a hilarious music video at the beginning of the year.

The nomination for the German ESC preliminary round adds to the long list of LORD OF THE LOST’s recent successes. In addition to storming the charts at #1 with Blood & Glitter (even harder than with their previous album JUDAS, #2 on Official German Album Charts), the band has been touring extensively, including providing direct support to none other than legendary heavy metal band IRON MAIDEN both in 2022 and on their upcoming 2023 tour. LORD OF THE LOST are also set to play some of the most important European metal festivals such as Wacken and Hellfest.

By the end of 2022, dark and extreme metal heavy weigths GRAVEWORM released a first song, “Dead Words” (Listen HERE!), seven long years since their latest studio album, “Ascending Hate“.

Formed in 1997, with nine studio records and countless tours with bands such as Kataklysm, Vader and Destruction to name just a few, GRAVEWORM belongs to one of the most influential acts the dark and extreme metal scene has to offer. While “Dead Words” already delivered the grinding intensity the band is known and loved for, marking an exciting harbinger of a new album to come in the Spring of 2023 on AFM Records, today the Italian five-piece has shared a lyric video for new single “Escorting The Soul”!

Says vocalist Stefano Fiori: “Escorting The Soul is the second single of our upcoming album, a typical GRAVEWORM-, midtempo track with some fast parts and a melodic chorus. The lyrics of this song are about the brutality and meaninglessness of war in general.”
