Greek progressive metallers MASK OF PROSPERO are back with their second album “Hiraeth”. It´s released via Swedish label ViciSolum Productions today, January 27th. The bands’ musical identity can be described as a blend of Djent and Metalcore vibes, with cinematic arrangements and electronic textures. Vocals range from deafening growls to melodic pop lines.
Watch their new video ‘Divided’, below.
Mask of Prospero is a progressive metalcore band that was built based on love for the human and the earthly element oflife, for the feelings that spring from music, but also for the music that springs from this feeling. The character of a band, after all, is not formed only by the externalization of ideas, but mostly through an internal struggle to construct a unique identity.
Lyrics by Mikko Heino & Arto Porvari Composed by Mikko Heino, Jussi Uutela, Jere Anttonen, Taneli Tulkki

Finnish melodic metal band DEAD END FINLAND released the last single ‘Up So High, Down So Low’ from their upcoming fifth studio album ‘Victory’ which is set to be released on March 31st 2023 via Inverse Records. The single features famous Finnish metal rap artist Nyrkki-Kyllikki. An extraordinary music video is done for the single and it is directed by Anton Paananen and produced by Niklas Nordling.
Guitarist & Bass player Santtu Rosén comment: “The last single from Dead End Finland’s new album to be released in March is called “Up so high, down so low”. Life is full of ups and downs. Sometimes it’s important to take a deeper look at what’s really important. You can never say for sure what a jump into the unknown will bring, but sometimes a new beginning can be found in a free fall. “Up so High, Down so low” encourages to take that leap of faith. The song features the Finnish metal-rap artist Nyrkki-Kyllikki.”

Hungry and angry like wolves on the hunt, CHRONICLE kick off the promotion round for their new album with “Terrorform”, a digital single that shows all the potential that the Danes have in 2023. Melodic as only the best melodic bands can be and with a heaviness, speed and tightness that may impress those who did not follow the fast evolution of the band in their first two albums, the new Chronicle track is a quick lethal dose of melodic death metal with hints of technical death metal that will leave your head oozing.
CHRONICLE have teamed up with Metal Shock Finland to premiere “Terrorform” for Finnish territory, enjoy it here:
In May this year, Chronicle will release its new album. The third album from the Frederikshavn (in the Northern part of Denmark) four-piece was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios (Hatesphere, Moonspell, Mnemic, etc).
“”Where Chaos Thrives” is by far Chronicle’s most ambitious album to date”, guitar player and vocalist Lars Bo Nepper comments. “We have strived to create an album that showcases both our most technical musicianship yet, but at the same time stands as the most cohesive work we have done. The music, lyrics and artwork are all intended to create a whole, bigger than the sum of its parts, where all the different assets of the album support the record’s central theme – humanity’s impending demise, due to the destruction of our own ecosystem”.
The follow-up to “Demonology” (released by Mighty Music in 2020) will have a cover designed by Sam Nelson (Allegaeon, Pile Of Priests, Wayfarer, etc) and is expected to have nine tracks and will be available in CD, vinyl, and digital formats. The release is set to May.
Lineup: Lars Bo Nepper – guitar/vocals Sebastian Skousgaard – guitar Jacob Wammen – bass/vocals Jari S. Holopainen – drums
