For her most recent album, the Grammy-nominated powerhouse vocalist Beth Hart took on one of her most profound undertakings to date by channelling the legendary voice of Robert Plant on A Tribute To Led Zeppelin.

The nine-song album highlights the incredible spectrum that Led Zeppelin operated in. At the helm was super-producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance) and engineer Doug McKean (Goo Goo Dolls, Adam Lambert). The A-list musicians include Cavallo on guitar along with Tim Pierce (Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner), on bass was Chris Chaney (Rob Zombie, Slash), keyboards were Jamie Muhoberac (Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones), on drums Dorian Crozier (Celine Dion, Miley Cyrus, Joe Cocker) and Matt Laug (Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper), with Orchestral arrangements by David Campbell (Muse, Beyoncé). All that was left was the final piece of the puzzle… the voice.

Things began back when Cavallo was producing Hart’s previous album, War In My Mind (2019), and she did an impromptu version of “Whole Lotta Love” in the control room during the session. It’s fitting that “Whole Lotta Love”, is the opening song of the album. From there, it’s a non-stop journey through “Kashmir,” an enchanting version of “Stairway to Heaven” to a James Brown-esque funky strut of “The Crunge.” Inspired medley’s “Dancing Days/When The Levee Breaks” and “No Quarter/Babe I’m Gonna Leave You Now” stand either side of “Black Dog.”  The penultimate song “Good Times Bad Times” leads into the orchestral ballad “The Rain Song,” which closes the album.

Watch Beth performing her version of Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” HERE.

Talking about the music and legacy of Zeppelin, she says, “it’s so beautifully done, it’s timeless. It will go on forever. Sometimes people come along, and they’re from another planet, and they make these pieces of art which will forever be.”

Beth’s ever-growing fanbase can look forward to experiencing more of Beth’s breath-taking emotionally charged live shows including songs from her critically acclaimed albums War In My Mind and Fire On The Floor. Beth continues to vow audiences all over the world with her unique performances and astounding voice. Previously, she sold out the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London. This performance was later released on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Beth’s special guest “Connor Selby” has just been nominated at the UK Blues Awards for “Acoustic Act of the Year”, “Instrumentalist of the Year”, “Blues Vocalist of the Year” and “Blues Artist of the Year” 2023. Connor is one of the brightest guitarists on the UK blues scene.

He has already been voted “Young Artist of the Year” at the UK Blues Awards for the last three consecutive years (2020, 2021, 2022). He has an impressive venue checklist, including Wembley Stadium, where he opened for The Who in July 2019 and has since gone on to play BST Hyde Park, London, on a bill with Pearl Jam, Stereophonics and Johnny Marrin the summer of 2022.  His album “Connor Selby” (Deluxe Edition) will be released on 3rd March by Provogue. MICHAEL MONROE Releases Video for ‘I Live Too Fast To Die Young’ Feat. Slash

MICHAEL MONROE releases the video for the high-octane title track taken from the album, “I Live Too Fast To Die Young”, out now via Silver Lining Music.

“This one started life as just a song title – a tongue-in-cheek nod to Vivienne Westwood’s ‘Too Fast To Live, Too Young To Die’ t-shirts after I had been gifted one by a fan in Japan” guitarist Rich Jones explains. “It’s a reference to Michael’s seemingly boundless energy and the fact that he’s still kicking ass after all these years.”

“I love reinventing old clichés,” Monroe laughs. “The whole ‘live fast, die young’ cliché is so boring, so I live too fast to die young! It takes more to survive and be here today than to self-destruct and die young!” Monroe affirms.

A close friend of Monroe, Slash from Guns N’ Roses, throws down some lead guitar on the track. “Slash is one of the nicest guys that I know and one of Rock’s greatest guitarists as he’s maintained the spontaneity, the human touch and the heartfelt kick-ass attitude in his playing” Monroe enthuses. “I figured this would be a good one for him to play a solo on, he said he loved the song and that it’s super catchy!”

“Having Slash play an absolutely ripping guitar solo on it was a real honour and it’s since become a fan favourite in our live shows” adds Jones.

I Live Too Fast To Die Young is available now on CD Digipak, 12” Red Vinyl, Digital Download, Streaming and special D2C bundles at this location.

Michael Monroe and gang are getting ready to join Black Star Riders on their 2023 UK tour along with Motörhead’s Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons. The tour will kick-off on February 13th at Nottingham’s Rock City and conclude at London’s 02 Shepherds Bush Empire on February 26th. I Live Too Fast To Die Young encompasses eleven lean, mean, raw slices of rock ‘n’ roll joy and it is clear that Michael Monroe continues to stride with a triumphant -and perhaps most importantly, defiant- roar to offer you a chance to let your hair down (or up!) and to enjoy the freedom of joyous celebration and expression. The album is available now on CD Digipak, 12” Red Vinyl, Digital Download, Streaming and special D2C bundles at this location.

MOTÖRHEAD: New Unreleased Track ‘Greedy Bastards’ + Exclusive Video Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on January 26, 2023
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: MOTÖRHEAD. Leave a comment

MOTÖRHEAD, the iconic Godfathers of heavy metal, unleash a brand new video for the previously unreleased track “Greedy Bastards”, taken from the upcoming release Bad Magic: SERIOUSLY BAD MAGIC.

“Greedy Bastards” is the second rare gem found in the recording session vaults for the 23rd (and final) studio album, Bad Magic in 2015. Instantly hailed as one of the best albums the beloved trio had recorded in many years, Bad Magic: SERIOUSLY BAD MAGIC is the ultimate bumper reissue, including the only recently released stomper “Bullet In Your Brain”, as well as a snarling, fangs-out live performance from the Bad Magic tour at the giant Mt Fuji Festival in Japan in 2015.

Fans will also get “War, Love, Death and Injustice”, an audio interview with Lemmy conducted by Motörhead expert Robert Kiewik during the tour, and should the desire to have a chat with Lem or anyone beyond this mortal coil arise, the box-set will exclusively contain a MURDER ONE ouija board (complete with the Ace of Spades planchette to spell out the conversation).

Kicking-off with a raw spoken word intro from Lemmy, “Greedy Bastards” profound message is as relevant today as ever, whilst delivered with the classic Motörhead rip-roaring, swagger.

“Another beauty from the Bad Magic sessions” comments guitarist Phil Campbell, “with Lem’s lyrics hitting our times bang on the head.”

The new animated video for “Greedy Bastards” can be watched at this location (video by Natalia Jonderko Śmiechowicz).

Bad Magic, released in 2015, produced by Cameron Webb and recorded live at NRG North Hollywood, Maple Studios and Grandmaster in California, unfurled into Motörhead’s toughest, leanest, meanest and most uncompromising album in aeons. Phil Campbell didn’t just record possibly his finest guitars, he threw down most certainly his best solos for decades, while Mikkey Dee’s drumming found new tribal resonance with the Motörhead sound he had helped nurture. From big-rig head crushers such as “Thunder & Lightning” and “Teach Them How To Bleed”, the crackling punk energy of “Electricity” to Brian May of Queen’s scintillating guest-appearance on “The Devil”, Bad Magic delivered the goods them some. There was also one of Lemmy‘s rawest lyrical life reflections on “Till The End”, and a cover of The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy For The Devil”. One of the hidden gold-dust additions to Bad Magic: SERIOUSLY BAD MAGIC, is Motörhead’s famous, and internationally acclaimed, version of David Bowie’s classic “Heroes”. It was a cover version which Lemmy had a great affection for, and as such its inclusion here is both fitting and just.

As the title says, this is Motörhead delivering some SERIOUSLY BAD MAGIC.

Bad Magic: SERIOUSLY BAD MAGIC will be released on Double 12” Vinyl, CD Digipak with Bonus Disc, Limited Edition Boxset, Digital Download and Streaming. The Limited Edition Boxset will contain the CD Digipak with Bonus Disc, Double 12” Vinyl, exclusive Lemmy War, Love, Death and Injustice audio interview on 12” vinyl and exclusive edition Motörhead – MURDER ONE Ouija Board and Planchette. Indian Metal Veteran DEMONSTEALER Announces New Album “The Propaganda Machine”; Releases First Single ‘Monolith Of Hate’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on January 26, 2023

Hailing from Mumbai, India, metal veteran DEMONSTEALER has announced its brand new full-length record “The Propaganda Machine”, which will be coming out on March 31st via Swedish label Black Lion Records. “The Propaganda Machine” is the 4th full-length album from Demonic Resurrection frontman Demsontealer and the upcoming album features an elite ensemble of some of the best metal musicians out there.

The 8 track album is relentless in it’s brutality while still remaining melodic. Lyrically the album is a hard hitting take on the polarized world today and one that speaks truth to power. In support of the new album, Demsontealer has unleashed the first single “Monolith Of Hate”.

Demonstealer on “Monolith Of Hate”:

“This song speaks about how our world is becoming more and more hateful and intolerant over time. Perhaps we were always this way and perhaps the internet has just pushed it to the forefront. Living in India I’ve seen the rise of hate and violence over the last few years and that has pushed me to voice my concerns over this growing monolith. Musically having a drummer like James Payne allowed me to write some of the fastest and more brutal riffs but at the same time I retained the melody. Both Martino Garattoni (bass) and Anabelle Iratni (Keys) just accented those melodic elements giving the song it’s signature sound. And true to my nature I always believe there is hope for a better world and I like to ask the questions that leave us hopefully thinking about our actions.“

Tracklist reads as follows:

  1. The Fear Campaign
(Hannes Grossmann, Dominic ‘Forest’ Lapointe, Anabelle Iratni & Dean Paul Arnold)
  2. Monolith Of Hate
(James Payne, Martino Garattoni & Anabelle Iratni)
  3. The Propaganda Machine
(Ken Bedene, Stian Gundersen & Anabelle Iratni)
  4. The Art Of Disinformation
(Sebastian Lanser, Kilian Duarte, Alex Baillie & Anabelle Iratni)
  5. Screams Of Those Dying
(Hannes Grossmann, Dominic ‘Forest’ Lapointe & Anabelle Iratni)
  6. The Great Dictator
(James Payne, Martino Garattoni & Anabelle Iratni)
  7. The Anti-National
(Sebastian Lanser, Kilian Duarte & Anabelle Iratni)
  8. Crushing The Iron Fist
(Ken Bedene, Stian Gundersen, Sanjay Kumar & Anabelle Iratni)

The artwork has been done by Daemorph Art and the album has been mixed and mastered at Hertz Studio in Poland (Decapitated, Hour Of Penance, Vader, Behemoth). “The Propaganda Machine” will be coming out on March 31st and is now available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

New England’s premier metal band DEAD BY WEDNESDAY released their brand new animated stop motion music video for their single “Mars in Exile.” The drummer’s 8-year-old son, Orion St. Lawrence, inspired the story & concept, and designed the building brick band characters. You can also see some of the footage he originally shot with real building brick figures projected on the screens during the guitar solo. The video was directed by Sal DelGreco, who also did all of the voice acting. The kick ass animation was done by Paul Stamper. The single is taken from their brand new album Capital Conspiracy, that released June 24th, 2022 on Mindsnap Music / Salt of the Earth Records. This new album from DBW is a total lesson in authentic musical aggression and was produced by Nicky Bellmore (drummer & producer of Dee Snider, Corpse Grinder, & Jasta). DBW’s album is available in stores as well as anywhere music is streamed or downloaded. Capital Conspiracy also hit # 1 on the nationally renown NACC Top 30 Loud – Hard Rock Radio Charts!

Connecticut, US based melodic death / doom metal band FIRES IN THE DISTANCE have today announced their much anticipated sophomore album, Air Not Meant For Us, due for release via Prosthetic Records on April 28. Alongside the album announcement, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE are currently premiering the lead single, Harbingers, and its accompanying lyric video via Knotfest.

LISTEN TO AND WATCH THE LYRIC VIDEO FOR HARBINGERS VIA KNOTFEST HERE.

Speaking on the premiere the band comments: “Harbingers is a daring and eruptive introduction to our upcoming second album, Air Not Meant for Us, concurrently putting the orchestral collaboration with Randy Slaugh (Devin Townsend, Tesseract, Periphery) in the aural forefront. Releasing a lyric video for the first track of the album felt like a natural way to introduce the themes, imagery and atmosphere of this sophomore release. A special thanks to our friends at Knotfest for the work they do in today’s metal scene and for giving our fans an early listen to our new record.”

On their second album, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE further expand on their musical foundations of wistful melodicism, crushingly heavy guitar work and intricate atmospherics. Across Air Not Meant For Us’ six tracks, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE tie together intensely personal ruminations on mental health and themes of existentialism in the form of mortality salience, without losing sight of the importance of perseverance.

Teaming up with Salt Lake City producer Randy Slaugh, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE’s chief songwriter Yegor Savonin (composition, guitars, programming, lyrics) sought to reach even greater dynamics within the band’s core sound of melodic death and doom metal. With live orchestration in the form of violas, violins, cellos, as well as piano work, proving to be an incredibly fruitful collaborative process for both band and producer.

Air Not Meant For Us marks the first time the band have recorded with new drummer, Jordan Rippe, who delivers his own wide range of ornate work and feeling to the group’s established sound. Whilst drums for the album were recorded at the historic Power Station New England, the rest of the instruments were tracked at Studio Wormwood in North Carolina with returning producer, Dave Kaminsky, who handled recording and mixing in both studios.

In addition to the collaboration with Randy Slaugh, the album also features a guest appearance from Burial in the Sky guitarist James Tomedi on instrumental track Adrift, Beneath the Listless Waves, who’s deft fretwork adds an additional layer of dynamic sheen.

Kristian Grimaldi’s thunderous vocal delivery compliments the album’s composition strongly and projects the songs to a greater level of formidability. The record is rounded out by Craig Breitsprecher’s complex and serpentine bass work which weave throughout the LP with an imperative sense of cohesion.

Seeking to retain aesthetic continuity, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE once again reached out to Caelan Stokkermans for the album’s art and layout, which masterfully conveys Air Not Meant For Us’ emotional core. With a runtime of 51 minutes across six songs, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE’s sophomore effort is a melodic doom and death metal odyssey in both artistic vision and sound.

Air Not Meant For Us tracklist:
1. Harbingers
2. Wisdom of the Falling Leaves
3. Crumbling Pillars of a Tranquil Mind
4. Adrift, Beneath the Listless Waves
5. Psalm of the Merciless
6. Idiopathic Despair

FIRES IN THE DISTANCE is:
Yegor Savonin – composition, guitars, programming, lyrics
Craig Breitsprecher – bass, vocals
Kristian Grimaldi – guitars, vocals
Jordan Rippe – drums
