Hybrid electronic rock/nu-metal duo NITROVERTS are back with an aggressive new single “Hit The Brakes“.
Heavy rhythms, laced with synths, thrashing guitars, and turbulent electronic beats form a blistering soundscape perforated with a brutal vocal performance from Yan Zhanchak. “Hit The Brakes” delivers where “Helladrenaline” left off, fusing genres as Ars Nikonov an Yann Zhanchak mix alternative metal, nu-metal, and industrial rock into one mind-melting turbulent composition from start to finish.
“‘Hit The Brakes’ delivers an adrenaline rush and a smashing groove together with inspirational lyrics and motivation,” says Nitroverts. “It’s perfect for those who are waiting for something more from Nitroverts!”
What do you get when you cross the classic rock/electronic ’80s vibe of Ars Nikonov’s Fury Weekend project with the impassioned, versatile, and high-octane vocals of Yann Zhanchak? You get Nitroverts, a hybrid electronic rock / nu-metal fusion collaboration between two Belarusian artists at the top of their game.
In 2021, the duo hit the ground running with their aptly named debut track “Starting Point,” declaring this is only the beginning and there are more great things to come in the future.
“Everything started from the demos I showed Yann during our recording sessions. He liked them very much and was eager to work with them as a vocalist. We were glad and ready to show and share the new music, powerful than ever. So our starting point was set.” – Ars Nikonov
THE HOLLYWOOD STARS have announced the upcoming release of their new EP Still Around, due out February 3 via Golden Robot Records.
Born from the 70s Hollywood rock scene, The Hollywood Stars have re-established themselves with their upcoming four track EP. The unheard title track ‘Still Around‘ is a high energy song that captures the bands longevity and passion for rock n’ roll.
Still Around will feature previous singles ‘If It Wasn’t For The Night,’ ‘Will The Lights Go On Again‘ and ‘The Bottom.’
Fans of The Hollywood Stars that have seen them perform live at The Whisky A Go Go and an array of southern California venues are reminded why they were such a phenomenon in the 70s, and why they are still a driving force today.
Listen to previous single ‘If It Wasn’t For The Night‘, below.
ABOUT THE HOLLYWOOD STARS
It would seem like every nook and cranny in rock ‘n’ roll history has been explored ad infinitum by this point. Countless books and magazine articles have been written, painstakingly excavating the lives and careers of everyone from Chuck Berry to Aerosmith, Wanda Jackson to Arcade Fire. But what if there was a band with deep roots whose story had barely been broached?
A band with direct ties to Little Richard, The Kinks, The Mamas & the Papas, The Electric Prunes, The Strawberry Alarm Clock, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Iggy Pop, The Runaways, The Flamin’ Groovies, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Steppenwolf, Meat Loaf and Blue Cheer, among others?
Such a band does exist, and they are The Hollywood Stars. Now, after more than 40 years apart, they are performing together again and making new music. We are just at the beginning of this new chapter.
Northern Irish rockers THE ANSWER follow their storming comeback show at this year’s Planet Rock Festival with the release of a second digital track on January 13th, 2023, titled ‘Want You To Love Me.’ The new track is taken from their highly anticipated forthcoming album Sundowners, released on March 17th, 2023.
‘Want You To Love Me’, produced and mixed by rising British rock producer Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Bury Tomorrow) showcases the band with a driving, grungy and raw sound, in keeping with the new direction of the album.
The band also recently announced a very special run of limited capacity UK and European album shows in March 2023 with both Belfast and London already sold out.
Says Neeson“When a friend asks me to give them a sneak peak of what this new album of ours sounds like…the first song I play them is “Want You To Love Me”. I just sit back and watch their heads start to bob up and down. This song is what we’re all about right now…dirty blues rock that hopefully makes you feel pretty damn good! The video captures the uncompromising energy of the song perfectly. I watched it 10 times when it came through to my inbox. It looks even better with a whisky in your hand too. Watch responsibly.”
The album will be released by Golden Robot Records and by licensee 7Hz Productions (ADA) in the UK & Europe with limited edition vinyl to be accompany the release.
The band’s first single of the album “Blood Brother” has received great early playlists on Planet Rock Radio UK and several German radio stations including Rock Antenne, Radio BOB!, Star FM Hamburg and Berlin, amassing over 2,000 plays in a month.
