Extreme doom metal masters AHAB celebrate the release of their critically acclaimed, fifth studio album, The Coral Tombs, via Napalm Records. It‘s the band’s first full-length offering in eight long years, gaining much praise from both fans and music critics alike.

Following their chart-impacting 2015 album, The Boats Of The Glenn Carrig, and the epic Live Prey release (2020), as usual, the kings of nautik doom – a genre they invented – once again interpret a maritime novel, inspired this time by Jules Verne’s masterpiece 20000 Leagues Under The Sea. Throughout seven new tracks, AHAB take their fans on a new musical journey with Captain Nemo and Professor Arronax. Of their entire discography, The Coral Tombs is arguably the closest the band has come to their sound resembling a real soundtrack: it’s evil, it’s longing, it’s sad, it’s meditative, it’s cavernous, it’s vast, it’s ridiculously epic and as heavy as the colossal squid itself!

To celebrate AHAB’s new album in glorious style, today, the German four-piece has shared a video clip for their final, colossal new album single “Mobilis in mobili”!

Guitarist Christian Hector comments:
“”Mobilis in mobili” is quite a cavernous journey. Musically, it feels like a tune that goes back to the very first AHAB song ‘The Stream’ from 2004, at times, and even further to the early 90s when Death Metal exploded. You will know what I mean when you hear that particular riff in the mid section. ‘Mobilis in mobili’ deservedly ended up in our live set, as it’s a pleasure to play it on stage. The video for the third single taken from our new album, The Coral Tombs, was actually recorded during our first live gig on a ship: the MS Stubnitz in Hamburg, Germany.”

Watch the new AHAB video for “Mobilis in mobili” HERE:

The Coral Tombs was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jens Siefert at RAMA Studios in Mannheim, Germany. Along with AHAB’s exceptional vocalist Daniel Droste, the album features guest appearances by ULTHA’s Chris Noir as well as none other than the master of extreme doom himself, Greg Chandler – singer and mastermind of ESOTERIC, who closes the album and an incredible ride through the depths of vast oceans and the abysmal nature of mankind. AHAB not only invented and still steer the ship of their genre, but The Coral Tombs is already poised to top 2023 Album Of The Year lists and sees the band sailing again as one of the best extreme doom metal bands of all time!

Swiss powerhouse INFINITAS have released a new song and video ‘Kratos’, the official music video can be seen below.

INFINITAS explain “Kratos“:
“Abused, betrayed and violated your trust. Everything was taken away from you. Feelings of revenge rise up in you and become stronger and stronger. These feelings tear you apart and poison you from the inside. Until you can’t take it anymore. Driven by revenge, you lose yourself more and more.
Does revenge change your past? The best revenge is not to take revenge at all. The best revenge is to let go, move forward and become better and stronger. Free yourself from resentment, revenge and guilt.
The only one who carries heavily is you.
Let go. Regain your strength. And be grateful for everything that has happened, because it makes you strong.
In Greek mythology, Kratos is the divine personification of strength. Kratos is characterized as brutal and merciless, repeatedly mocking both Hephaestus and Prometheus and advocating for the use of unnecessary violence.”

🎬 ⚙️ Produced, directed & edited by Matteo VDiva Fabbiani & Chiara Cerami for VDPICTURES

INFINITAS – Fantasy infused Melodic & very powerful Metal from Switzerland. Breathtaking violin melodies, distinctive guitar riffs and a frontwoman who impresses with powerful growls as well as enchanting clean vocals.

QUIET RIOT Release “Rehab: Relapsed & Remastered” Reissue Feat. New Kevin Dubrow Track ‘I Can’t Hold On’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on January 14, 2023
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: QUIET RIOT. Leave a comment

Legendary rockers QUIET RIOT have just re-released “REHAB: RELAPSED AND REMASTERED” via Red Samurai Music. The album includes a previously unreleased track entitled “I Can’t Hold On”, originally written and demoed by Kevin Dubrow and Alex Grossi in 2003. The finished track features a hauntingly powerful vocal from DuBrow and is a semi-posthumous reunion of DuBrow, Frankie Banali, and Rudy Sarzo. The song was edited and produced by Alistair James, who most recently engineered for Joe Perry and Johnny Depp on the latest “Hollywood Vampires” release “Rise.”

Available for the first time digitally. Download/stream at: https://ffm.to/rehab2023

The video for “I Can’t Hold On” can be seen below:

“The “I Can’t Hold On” video honestly conveys the reason for Quiet Riot to carry on and Celebrate Frankie’s and Kevin’s memories and the Quiet Riot legacy,” says bassist Rudy Sarzo. “To play bass on “I Can’t Hold On” with Kevin and Frankie 40 years after our Metal Health record sessions along with Alex Grossi is truly a blessing.”

“It’s so great to finally hear this track the way it was supposed to be done,” says Alex Grossi. “I completely forgot about it until it turned up on an old iPod last summer. The way it came to life almost 20 years later is truly special and a perfect tribute to Kevin and Frankie.”

At the helm of Red Samurai Music is Regina Banali, widow to the late Frankie Banali. “I am now the steward of Frankie’s life work and the band, and it is very important to me to protect the Quiet Riot legacy,” states Banali. “Rehab’ was a very important recording to both Frankie and Kevin and a significant part of the soundtrack to the film “QUIET RIOT: Well Now You’re Here, There’s No Way Back.”

2022 saw the current line-up of QUIET RIOT, which in addition to Sarzo and Grossi, includes vocalist Jizzy Pearl and Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly perform nearly 70 shows, including headlining the opening night of the “Sturgis Motorcycle Rally,” “Monsters On The Mountain” and the 15th annual “Rocklahoma Festival.” The band is currently booking an extensive tour for 2023 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of “Metal Health,” which was originally released on March 11th, 1983.

Australia’s NOTHING SACRED Unleash Single ‘Drone’ from Forthcoming EP

Set to unleash their new EP “Leviathan” this coming February via Rockshots Records to follow their first album in 30 years entitled “No Gods” released in 2021, Australia’s NOTHING SACRED are sharing their second single “Drone“.

“The lyrics were written around the current situation in Ukraine and the atrocities of modern warfare. It’s sad that nowadays we still find excuses where it’s alright to take other people’s lives and land. I’m not sure how this is ok and it’s heartbreaking that it can still happen today. Again this is by no means an attack on the good people of Russia. What’s happening is no more their fault than it is ours.” comments drummer Sham.

Listen to “Drone” at https://bfan.link/drone-2

ans of Nothing Sacred will notice on the band’s forthcoming EP “Leviathan” that there has been a lineup change that now sees the return of Chris Stark taking the reins as lead vocalist, replacing James Davies. Stark had previously sung with the band for a number of years and has now returned in time to lay down the vocal tracks for their next monster.

The EP “Leviathan” is a mix of new and older tracks that builds on what the band did with the album “No Gods”. It has plenty of riffs, killer solos, and big melodies from vocalist Chris Stark. The EP also includes the song “Sudden Death”, a thrashy unreleased track that was a mainstay during the band’s live gigs in the mid-’80s plus re-recordings of a few tracks from the band’s first album “Let Us Prey” and two new songs. All the new songs were written in group sessions with everyone jamming, throwing around riffs and arrangements into the mix. Overall, the EP is a blend of old and new, and something they could get done without a follow-up taking too long.

Nothing Sacred is:
Stu Bedford – Guitar
Chris Stark – Vocals
Karl Lean – Bass
Sham – Drums
George Larin – Guitar

About: Conceived in Melbourne in 1983, Nothing Sacred went on hiatus for two decades. During the 80s, the heavy metal band unleashed their EP “Deathwish”, which catapulted them as one of the most sought-after pit makers with the record’s title track becoming a classic within the Australian metal scene. Three years later in 1988, Nothing Sacred unleashed the full-length entitled “Let Us Prey” on Cleopatra Records. Unfortunately a year after that LP’s release, the band disbanded in 1989. Lead guitarist Mark Woolley, bassist Karl Lean, and drummer Sham went on to contribute to Hobbs’ Angel of Death‘s early work in the late 1980s. Woolley also appeared on Hobbs’ first self-titled album in 1988. Vocalist Mick Burnham later joined the short-lived Melbourne band Seizure in 1993.

Although their tenure was short-lived, Nothing Sacred still remains an underground metal phenomenon in Australia. Songs from the Deathwish EP still get airplay on several Australian metal radio programs.

In 2012, Nothing Sacred performed a series of 30th anniversary shows with Ross Percy (Ion Drive, Little House Godz) joining George Larin on guitar that included a support slot for the ex-Iron Maiden vocalist’s Paul Di’AnnoP/Blaze Bayley Australian tour. Despite the success, the band agreed not to continue and returned to retirement.

In 2015, the band decided to re-activate with a lineup of Sham, Karl Lean, George Larin, Ross Percy, and new vocalist Chris Stark. A slot on Melbourne’s Brewtality Metal Festival received positive reviews before the band embarked on a short tour of Japan (That footage was released in 2021 as a part of a 3 disc boxset), which inspired them to continue and lead the band to headline day one of the Steel Assassins Festival in Sydney.

Line-up changes again slowed the band, James Davies was recruited for vocals along with Stu Bedford on guitar. From there, the band spent most of 2019 and 2020 writing and recording, what was their first full-length in over 30 years. Entitled “No Gods”, the record witnessed Nothing Sacred‘s resurrection to the metal world. The album peaked on the Australian iTunes metal charts in October 2021 at #4 along with metal media outlets giving multiple praising reviews.

Now ready to follow up “No Gods”, Nothing Sacred has gone through another lineup change swapping singer James Davies out with the return of Chris Stark. Chris had sung with the band previously for a number of years and has now returned in time to lay the vocal tracks down on their next release “Leviathan” set for release in February 2023 via Rockshots Records.
