Two of the hottest blues rock acts have joined forces to embark on what promises to be one of the most exciting co-headline tours in recent years. Critically acclaimed roots/blues rockers The Commoners embark on a 15-date UK tour in April 2023 with the UK’s King of slide guitar, Troy Redfern.

Planet Rock’s 48-hour ticket pre-sale starts 10am on Wednesday 11th January 2023 via the exclusive ticketing link HERE.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday 13th January from www.alttickets.com, www.gigantic.com, www.thecommoners.ca and www.troyredfern.com.

“The Commoners are back, and clearly they mean business.” – Classic Rock

“A killer album from start to finish, The Commoners have delivered a real beauty dripping in quality, rich in its roots/rock heritage, they’ve absolutely nailed it.” – Rock N Load

The Commoners will perform tracks from their current album “Find A Better Way” which includes the singles “Fill My Cup,” “Find A Better Way,” and “Too Much.”

Classic Rock Magazine describes the new album as “Rootsy, soulful and bluesy, these are timeless songs steeped in classic rock tradition.”

The band is comprised of Chris Medhurst (lead vocals), Ross Hays Citrullo (guitar), Ben Spiller (bass guitar), Adam Cannon (drums), and Miles Evans (keyboards).

“Find A Better Way” was produced and mixed by the band’s guitarist Ross Hayes Citrullo, while the title track single was mixed by award-winning record Australian record producer Kevin Shirley (Joe Bonamassa, Black Crowes, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin).

Watch the music video for the “Find A Better Way” single HERE.

“Troy Redfern really comes over as a breath of fresh air in the blues rock world today. There isn’t one wasted moment on the album.” – Music News.com

“Troy Redfern has the best record of his career on his hands with The Wings of Salvation. Highly recommended.” – Rock Blues Muse

Hot off from winning Hard Rock Hell’s “Blues Artist of the Year” award and following hot on the heels of his recent singles “Come On,” “Gasoline,” “Sweet Carolina,” and “Mercy,” Troy Redfern’s current album, “The Wings of Salvation” has fast become the critics’ favourite and best-selling album to date.

After releasing an unprecedented six albums in just under two years, “The Wings of Salvation,” is being hailed as Redfern’s most compelling work to date. The album highlights Redfern’s powerfully edgy vocal delivery, condensed song writing skills, tight arrangements, complimented by his trademark “firebrand” slide guitar playing, giving him the moniker of Britain’s King of Slide Guitar.

Classic Rock Magazine made “The Wings of Salvation” their “Blues Album of the Month,” and said, “Sweet Carolina, thankfully, is more Bolan-Stones stomp than Neil Diamond syrup, while Come On is the best here, sharing a little bit of DNA with ZZ Top’s La Grange and stealing Muddy Waters’ pay-off (‘Got my mojo workin’). At this creative pace, you couldn’t catch him in a runaway stagecoach.”

Over the past 15 months, Troy has toured the UK with Robert Jon & The Wreck, The Quireboys, The Sweet, DARE, and When Rivers Meet, picking up new fans every step of the way.  Championed by the UK’s Planet Rock, Troy’s singles “Come On” and “Sweet Carolina” have had repeated plays on the classic rock radio station’s main playlist.  Troy recently played Planet Rock’s Rockstock Festival and will play Planet Rock’s Winter’s End Festival on February 5, 2023.

New York’s SANHEDRIN have just debuted a new video from their current album, Lights On, that was released Worldwide last March through Metal Blade Records.

Comments SANHEDRIN singer Erica Stoltz: “I wrote the song about an archeological discovery in Russia late December 2019. A tomb was found with the skeletons of four Scythian women warriors aged 12 to 50. They had battle scars and were buried with weapons and horses. It was the best example of pre-Christian female identity I’ve ever seen. The song was my tribute to them, a way to bring their spirits into a new age, continue their story and show what women are able to do.“

As for the video itself, it was animated and directed by Mike “Fox” Foxall, a dear friend from the band hailing from Australia. “We met Mike at the 2019 edition of Hell Over Hammaburg when our band and his (Neptune Power Federation) played together. We instantly hit it off as friends and so working with him for the video was an extension of our friendship. We feel the video captures the energy and themes of the song while also providing a unique visual look and narrative to the listening experience. RIDE OUT!!!“

SANHEDRIN are confirmed to play reknown German festivals “Hell Over Hammaburg” and “Keep It True” in the Spring and have just announced a full trek with none other than ROSS THE BOSS. Full dates below. Comments the band: “We are beyond excited to head back to Europe this Spring. Our appearances at Keep It True and Hell Over Hammaburg have been delayed multiple times, so we are grateful for the day to finally arrive where we can perform at both of them!

We are also looking forward to hitting the road with fellow New Yorker and guitar legend Ross The Boss! He is a true rock pioneer and heavy metal icon, and on this tour he will be celebrating his storied career with a ‘Kings Of Metal’ anniversary performance. It’s been a long time since our last full-scale European tour, and we can’t wait to see you all at the show!“

Hitting the German charts in the Top 20 for the first time, VISIONS OF ATLANTIS returned strongly with their most recent acclaimed studio release, Pirates in 2022, followed by extensive touring through Europe and the US. There’s no time to rest for the Pirates, so they start 2023 with the release of a brand new high quality official music video.

Capturing their dedicated fans in the video, the rousing single “Clocks” will make every symphonic metal enthusiast’s heart pound faster. Fixing itself in the minds of the crowd forever, catchy harmonies are underlined by bouncy metal beats.

The single comes just in time for the band’s announcement of their Pirates Over Europe tour, featuring support from Autumn Bride, and kicking off in Germany on April 4. The tour will follow their Pirates Over North America tour, featuring support from The Spider Accomplice and beginning on February 7 in Los Angeles, CA.

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS on “Clocks”:

Clémentine Delauney:”We are so excited to be able to release a video for ”Clocks” as we love this song and we noticed that it quickly became one of our fans’ favorites as well! We could tell from the crowd’s response every time we started to play this song live last year! So here is a fun portrait of what enjoying life as a pirate can be about, remembering the clock is ticking… Let’s all make a golden play out of 2023!”

Michele Guaitoli: “We couldn’t have a better way to celebrate this new video release than with a tour announcement! Our 2023 won’t only start with our first headlining US tour, that will see ‘The Spider Accomplice’ as special guests, but we’re also announcing another European round in cities we couldn’t reach during the previous run! Autumn Bride will join us for this new adventure…and believe it or not, more news will follow!

Free as the seven untamed seas, the symphonic metal outfit unleashed their rebellious side with Pirates,  and delivered their most confident and honest record so far. During their voyage, they played an extensive tour in the USA supporting Dragonforce, and headlined in Europe, selling out several venues, as well as multiple festival shows – beyond others at Wacken Open Air in summer 2022.

BLACK STAR RIDERS Release New Single ‘Riding Out The Storm’ from Forthcoming Album “Wrong Side Of Paradise”

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: BLACK STAR RIDERS. Leave a comment

Following the announcement of new guitarist Sam Wood, BLACK STAR RIDERS, the Anglo American rockers featuring Ricky Warwick (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Robert Crane (Bass Guitar) and drummer Zak St. John, are excited to release their new single Riding Out The Storm, which is accompanied by a video, directed and produced by famed video maker Tony Aguilera (Jerry Cantrell, Killer Be Killed, Orianthi) in Los Angeles.

“Riding Out The Storm” video is available here:

Ricky Warwick comments: “As we get older, sadly we start to lose the ones around us who we love, having lost both my parents and some dear friends in the last few years I’ve started to question and look at my feelings on my own mortality and morality. I’ve come to realise that death is a part of life and even in the darkest days (that we all get sometimes), I’ve come to understand that every aspect of life should be an intensified experience and never taken for granted.”

He continues: “The video was shot in downtown Los Angeles and directed by Tony Aguilera. I love the cinematography and different camera filters that Tony used during the shoot. I think it complements the essence of the song, which conveys reflections of mortality and consequences of choice. Life must end eventually, but love doesn’t.”

Riding Out The Storm is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Wrong Side Of Paradise, which features 11 tracks, and was recorded in the Autumn of 2021 at Studio 606 in Northridge California and Toochtoon Sound in Redmond Oregon with producer and longtime BSR associate, Jay Ruston.

Wrong Side Of Paradise is available for pre-order worldwide here: https://webstore.earache.com/black-star-riders.

Formats include: limited coloured vinyl (including green, blue, red and black/white split), black vinyl, signed CD, cassette and digital download. A special edition of the album containing two bonus tracks can be found on CD (which comes with a 24-page song booklet) and USB stick formats. Various collector bundles are also available, including one with an exclusive 12”.
