Indie rock band THE INTEMPERATE SONS released their new single “Unrealized” to all major platforms today! The single is from their highly anticipated new album Game of Keep Away that will be released via FRAME|WORK in 2023.

“The first cut off the upcoming album, Game of Keep Away is called “Unrealized”. The Intemperate Sons once again teamed up with Amir Derakh at the producing and mixing helm to work on this track and the second album to be released in 2023. “Unrealized” is the story of being trapped within the walls of your mind and the self-destructive ways you end up keeping yourself there while everyone around you sees your potential. The Intemperate Sons will follow up the single release with a new video on 1/6/2023 that was filmed by Ardent Owl Media and Ryan Whitehead. The track was recorded at The Kitchen Recording Studios in Dallas, TX. All mastering is done by Mike Marsh Mastering in the U.K. ” says the band.

“Unrealized” can be streamed at: https://ffm.to/tisunrealized

The Intemperate Sons Show Dates:
Sat Jan 14 @ Hanover’s Draught Haus in Pflugerville, TX
Sat Jan 28 @ Rob’s Billiards Sports Bar w/Empire Cats in Euless, TX
Sat Feb 11 @ O’Riley’s in Dallas, TX
Sat Mar 18 @ Viper Room in West Hollywood, CA

Formed in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, The Intemperate Sons are an up-and-coming alternative rock band that are a cool concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge. The band has earned a serious reputation of writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the groove of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness to their writing style. Their music has a total retro vibe with many guitar driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. Their heavier retro style sits perfectly under the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their sound. The Intemperate Sons are a family band with its members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars), and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) all being related by blood. Mark Marks provides the groove at bass to tie it all together. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate on a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies, and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and REM.

The Intemperate Sons are:
Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)
Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)
Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)
Mark Marks (bass)

PESTIFER Ink Deal with DMP, New EP “Defeat Of The Nemesis” Coming in 2023

Haunting the Death Metal scene with devastating music and crushing live shows since 2004, PESTIFER have already unleashed three highly acclaimed albums. On most recent opus “Expanding Oblivion” (2020), the group successfully paired an elaborate science-fiction concept with sonic aggression, ethereal melodies, intricate riffing and a special emphasis on song-structure. PESTIFER soar through the sublimity of the night sky into the cold and annihilating darkness of outer space!

Proudly, the label announces that PESTIFER has joined Debemur Morti Productions to unleash further sinister and sophisticated obliterations. Vocalist Jérôme Bernard narrates about PESTIFER‘s Art:

“We are glad to be part of the Debemur Morti Productions family! I think the spectrum of darkness we evoke in our music is very wide and that is clearly something we naturally tend to. At least, I could say there is nothing positive emerging from the sound we create: our music is a mix of dreadful and dissonant chords, enigmatic melodies, threatening riffs or insane atmospheres but it varies a lot. Layers are often quite numerous without any ounce of happiness. We also focus on structures, probably without choosing the easiest path, but we believe that it makes the songs of PESTIFER as unique as possible. Lyrics follow that rule too. They mainly tell stories about the darkness of existence itself with a science-fiction aspect. Nevertheless, is there anything darker than outer space?“

First collaborative emanation, the new EP “Defeat Of The Nemesis“, will see the light of day in 2023. Jérôme allows a glimpse into what’s to come:

“The core of PESTIFER remains the same but I could say we explored more horizons than in our previous releases. There are certainly more bold attempts with moods we never even approached before. But there are other aspects that can remind people of our first release as well: some reborn aggression, more anger. That’s also the reason why we wanted the production to be very powerful. “Defeat Of The Nemesis” is a concept EP with a main lyrical theme about cosmos colonization by the human race. Every song represents a new civilization which is influenced by a specific mental pathology. Anyway, you can expect adventurous bass lines, serpentine guitar riffs, furious vocals, and tireless drums.“

Furthermore, as it was recently announced, the band will also perform on the 2023 edition of Hellfest Open Air Festival in France.

PESTIFER are:

Philippe Gustin – drums
Jérôme Bernard – vocals
Valéry Bottin – guitars
Adrien Gustin – bass

Follow the band on Facebook and Instagram and listen to their latest album, “Expanding Oblivion“, via Bandcamp.

PESTIFER is a metal band that has been haunting Belgium since 2004. Composed of four humanoids, the group plays an original music mixing aggressivity, melodies and personality with emphasis on the songs’ structure, elaborate riffing and the general atmosphere.

The project was fantasized by young hairy twins, fanatics of the 90’s Death Metal scene. With a first EP in 2006, PESTIFER aligns concerts on a local scale. In 2010, the band takes a new dimension releasing its first album, “Age Of Disgrace“. Two European tours in support of KATAKLYSM and KRISIUN follow and they sign with Ultimhate Records.

After a new 13-date European tour with NILE, PESTIFER release a new album on Greatdane Records in 2014. “Reaching The Void” confirms the band’s musical direction and brings a new trend with more “sci-fi” themes.

The following years, the band undergoes some line-up changes with the arrival of a new guitar player. In mid-2019, the band records a concept album, marking a new milestone for PESTIFER. The album, the result of several years of writing, is released in March 2020 on Xenokorp Records, a few days before the worldwide lockdown. During that period, PESTIFER sign a publishing contract with Les Editions Hurlantes (GOJIRA, IMMORTAL, MARDUK…).

In 2021, the band releases a video documentary. The film is directed by Giov‘ and focuses on the band’s life during covid. 2022 sees PESTIFER sign a contract with Debemur Morti Productions.

VISITANT Unleash Debut Single w/ Music Video ‘Dematerialization’ Ft. Members of Abiotic, Demon King

Seasoned vets in their respected local scenes across various American states, blackened death metallers VISITANT converged in Nashville, TN earlier this year and are now prepared to make their debut to the metal world with the single “Dematerialization” accompanied by a music video.

Visitant was formed by Matthew Brown (Demon King, ex-Enfold Darkness), Taylor Tidwell, and Chelsea Strickland (voice actor at Monster Factory), with the later addition of Terran Fernandez (ex-Mindscar) and Anthony Lusk-Simone (Abiotic).

Vocalist Chelsea Strickland explains their introduction to the extreme metal community and music video:

“Right before the idea of Visitant, I was binging all of The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor and became infatuated. I really grew an attachment to them because the emotions were relatable. My grandfather became terminally ill around the same time. My mother also became dangerously ill around the same time. I associated the series with them… The feelings I had while watching that. Were comparable to real-life events. Anyway, I was in love with how beautifully those series were written and shot. The cinematography was so superb. I was hooked… and when I moved to Nashville from Pensacola, I started Visitant with Matt. The name is another word for an apparition. I wanted to embody the intense yet heart-wrenching vibes it carried. So I felt the name was fitting. I’ve always loved ghost stories since I was a kid. Discussing the ideas and concepts of Visitant with Matt and Taylor came easily. We wanted to create a project where we could feel free to write what we wanted without it being too complicated or forced. To make it as dark and spine-tingling as we wanted it to be.”

Vicious, feral, and meshing Victorian mourning vibes with black metal, this is the path Visitant will be exploring in their sound as they plan to deliver a forthcoming EP in 2023. Even though they write from a distance, with today’s easy access to communications, they have been able to create and write from state to state.

“I think our single Dematerialization and more to follow will be well received. I honestly feel our sound is unique. We have really rad guitar lines and melodies. We just want the audience to experience the music with all senses eventually. Audibly, we just hope it makes you feel something.”

“Dematerialization” was the culmination of several months of collaboration between all members of a newly formed band. During this time they were writing other songs for the project in an attempt to create an original sound, but it wasn’t until this track’s completion that they had a firm idea as to what they would become.

Visitant is recommended for fans of Naglfar, Gojira, Goatwhore, Enslaved, and Opeth.

The music video for “Dematerialization” can be seen and heard via its premiere on Slam Worldwide.

LORD OF THE LOST Drop New Album “Blood & Glitter”, Release Video for Title Track

German genre-fusing visionaries LORD OF THE LOST are ending 2022 with a big surprise – releasing their eighth studio album, Blood & Glitter, virtually overnight on December 30 via Napalm Records. After the great success of their last album, JUDAS (#2 Official German Album Charts), and supporting metal icons Iron Maiden on both their most recent and upcoming tours, the band is ready to turn the page to the next chapter. On Blood & Glitter, the band fully embraces their deeply-rooted love for 70s glam rock visuals and the sound of the 80s. Underlined by electronic, goth and new wave musical offshoots, the German visionaries get straight to the point with their modern metal elements.

Chris Harms on the album release:
“In a time when the marketing madness for each album seems to last longer and longer, when half the album – or even more – is already known six months in advance through pre-released singles, so that the high pre-release sales generate the highest possible chart result, what it should actually be about – the pure magic of hearing a new album of your favourite band for the first time – is becoming more and more lost. We want to transport this “like the old days” feeling through this surprise release! Fuck the charts, playlist pitches and 1,000 pointless reviews in advance. What matters is what an album means in the long run, not how high its “value” is on release day.”

When conjuring the concept of Blood & Glitter, the band was inspired by the eponymous work of legendary music photographer Mick Rock, known for taking a large majority of the most famous photos of musicians in the 70s glam rock era. LORD OF THE LOST visually immerse themselves in the lifestyle of that era and combine it with the new wave and pop sound of the 80s, building on their own familiar dark metal foundation. The result: a glamorous party with critical and direct messages.

Get Your Copy of Blood & Glitter HERE

Blood & Glitter Tracklist:

  1. Blood & Glitter
  2. Leave Your Hate In The Comments
  3. Absolute Attitude
  4. The Future Of A Past Life (feat. Marcus Bischoff)
  5. No Respect For Disrespect
  6. Reset The Preset (feat. Andy LaPlegua)
  7. Destruction Manual
  8. Dead End
  9. Leaving The Planet Earth
  10. Forever Lost
  11. Save Our Souls (feat. Ally Storch)
  12. One Last Song
  13. The Look (Roxette Cover) (feat. Blümchen)

Contrasts run like a thread throughout the album, once again proving different in comparison to their previous work. In addition to Chameleon Studios in Hamburg, Blood & Glitter was produced and recorded at the Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki. The album goes all the way from start to finish – thus completely bypassing ballads. The hard-hitting dancefloor track “Leave Your Hate In The Comments” makes a strong statement by addressing the increasing hate culture in social media. Furthermore, the eighth studio album features a variety of very special guests such as Heaven Shall Burn singer Marcus Bischoff on “The Future Of A Past Life”, Andy LaPlegua of Combichrist on “Reset The Preset” and Subway To Sally‘s Ally Storch on violin for “Save Our Souls”. Wrapping up the record with “One Last Song”, Chris Harms states on the track: “I was wondering what song I would want to sing last before I die and realized that song didn’t exist yet. So here it is. Probably the most important song I’ve ever written.” A bonus track, a remarkable cover of Roxette’s “The Look”, features none other than German 90s popstar Blümchen as a duet partner. The band once again goes its own way and releases, without much advance, an album that defies all clichés, prejudices, genre norms and conventions, and makes strong statements in terms of content! So to say: Blood & Glitter is 100% LORD OF THE LOST.

SNOWY SHAW’s Collection “This is Heavy Metal, Plain & Simple” Out Now

What is “This is Heavy Metal, plain & simple”?

As the title suggests we’re not reinventing the wheel here by any means. It’s classic metal, that range from hardrock to death metal and everything in between, all according to SNOWY SHAW (multi-talented worldwide underground superstar formerly of King Diamond, Notre Dame, Therion, Dimmu Borgir, Dream Evil, Mercyful Fate, Memento Mori etc.)

But! make no mistakes, Snowy is not what one would call a conventional or predictable man, and there are quite a few things that are exceptional and downright groundbreaking about this album (or collection of singles.)

First of all, instead of putting out a full length album of 12 songs, during the pandemic year of 2021 Snowy opted to swap things around and release 1 single each and every month (digitally) throughout the year and then in time for X-mas release a limited edition physical double vinyl and digiCD with the collection of songs + no less than 4 bonus tracks. Where on each track he also invited special guest stars to contribute consisting of several of his teenage heroes, living legends, former bandmates and friends to as guest stars. Including members from King Diamond, Therion, Ozzy Osbourne, Dark Funeral, Mercyful Fate, Death SS, Doro, Hardcore Superstar, Mustasch, Torch, Dream Evil, Lillasyster, U.D.O, Arch Enemy, Sabaton, Soilwork, Raubtier, Erika, Ross The Boss, Amaranthe among many others

Sadly during the recording process some of his old heroes eventually had to cancel their participation due to health issues and even more tragically a few of them passed away. R.I.P. “Their legacy lives on”

Since Christmas 2022 the album is now available on all digital platforms.
