METHANE Proclaim ‘Shock and Awe’ with New Thrash Metal Single + Video, Out January 13th

Swedish Groove metallers METHANE are excited to tell you, they are releasing a new single!

On January, Friday the 13th, the band will unleash ‘Shock and Awe’, a brand new single and video from their upcoming ‘Kill It With Fire’ album, due out on January 27, 2023.

The band shared, We have finished filming the video and promise a brutal new head spining video, filmed by Erik Hansen who created the bands video for Thin The Herd in 2019. Erik is hidden in his bunker editing it now so that the onslaught will be up as scheduled.

About the song:

This song is an assault with rapidly, dominating guitar riffs, a fast paced representation of the new albums sound, completed by technical drumming, a really ear catching guitar solo and an epic chorus. We can’t wait for you all to wrap your heads around it and tell us what you think!

You can pre-save the audioversions of the song already on Spotify and Youtube. Methane’s new album will be available on all didgtal outlets as long as on vinyl and CD that you can snag on the band’s Bandcamp, where they are running a Pre-Order campaign.

GIGANTOMACHIA Release New Single ‘Typhon’

Out now via Agoge Records is ‘Typhon’, new single from the Italian melodic death metallers GIGANTOMACHIA.

The band describes the track:

“Typhon is primordial force, it’s pure energy, it’s the chaos that existed before all else. A force so devastating that even the gods themselves bowed before its might. Man has for centuries played at being god, devastating the very earth he walks upon. Pandemics, fires, floods, earthquakes, eruptions, every cataclysm is a reaction to man-made disaster. But the earth is rebelling: just as the gods knelt before the Titans, man too will finally kneel before Typhon.”

“Typhon”, available on every digital platforms, has been mixed at Wolf Recording Studio by Gianmarco Bellumori e Samuel Mingarelli, and mastered by Ted Jensen (Gojira, Lamb Of God) at Sterling Sund Studios (USA); the track is out along with a visual video.

Gigantomachia is a melodic death project whose concept is based on Greek and Roman myths, also revisited in a modern key. The band has worked with various studios, including the producers of bands such as EX DEO, GOJIRA and LAMB OF GOD, and has toured at festivals such as Sinistro fest, Divine Metal Fest, took part in selections at Zaiet Fest and Wacken Open Air, and also played with bands such as Wind Rose, Domine, Genus Ordinis Dei, Necrodeath and Black Therapy.

The last weekend club tour “Revelations Of The Wicked” in November and December – so spontaneously prepared by Massive Music – was incredibly well received by you, and the concerts themselves with madness and power probably only looked like “gold” and the times” of Metal. In response to really numerous requests we have added three more weekends in January and February 2023. This time we will also visit the North and West of Poland. The program mostly reminiscent of our debut “The Ultimate Incantation” (30 years) and “Revelations” (20 years) will be added with more surprises.

The Metal Hall of Fame have announced the induction of 4 Hard Rock and Heavy Metal legends into the Metal Hall of Fame: Twisted Sister, Lou Gramm, Chris Impellitteri, and Raven. Celebrated guitarist Steve Vai (Whitesnake /David Lee Roth) and legendary drummer Mike Portnoy, (Winery Dogs) will induct Twisted Sister.  

The event will include numerous performances, surprise artist appearances, a Meet & Greet, and All Star Jams. It will be hosted by radio/television music Icon Eddie Trunk, with entertainment personality Cathy Rankin.

The 6th Annual Metal Hall of Fame Gala, “The most important night in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal” will take place January 26, 2023, at the Canyon Club, Agoura Hills, C.A.

Dutch death metallers DEAD WILL WALK are ready to present their brand new EP “A New Day of Dawning”. The band offers brooding and furious but always catchy old school death metal with sinuous melodies.

The coming EP is set to be released on the 27th of January 2023 via Dawnbreed Records, serving as the proverbial crown to the band’s ten-year career.
