Cork, Ireland’s GOD ALONE have today announced April UK tour dates in support of their recently released sophomore album, ETC, via Prosthetic Records. Tickets to the math / noise rock group’s upcoming tour will be on sale this Wednesday (December 14) at 10am GMT.

Revisit GOD ALONE‘s ETC here.

Speaking on the tour announcement, the band comments: “We can’t wait to begin what is going to be our longest tour yet. We’re so excited to see all the places that we’ve never played before and revisit some of our favourite cities. This is also going to be the first tour we’ve ever done that isn’t through public transport!

“We’re currently working some new unreleased material into our set which is a further evolution of the sounds on our last album but still very different, so come a long and see all of that!”

GOD ALONE UK tour dates:
04 April – Prince Albert – Brighton
05 April – Shacklewell Arms – London
07 April – Forum Basement – Tunbridge Wells
08 April – Crofters Rights – Bristol
10 April – Hug & Pint – Glasgow
11 April – Rough Trade – Nottingham
12 April – Record Junkee – Sheffield
13 April – Adelphi – Hull
14 April – Parish – Huddersfield
15 April – Strangeforms Fest – Brudenell Social Club – Leeds

The five musicians behind GOD ALONE are quite literally students of their craft; ETC – their second full length album – was recorded at MTU Cork School of Music which they all attend. ETC was produced by the band and Christopher Hockey, and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Witch Fever, GGGOLDDD, Ghost). The origins of the band lie in a heavier, post-metal sound, but the intervening years and an influx of new and stimulating influences has seen them broaden their palette, expand their horizons and hone a distinctive sound.

Whilst embracing all that the Irish music scene has to offer, GOD ALONE are constantly pushing to make their way out of Ireland and further afield. Cutting their teeth in an eclectic and enthusiastic local scene helped them to refine their live chops, giving their performance increased weight and attention as they progressed. Now when they write, the live iteration of their music is always at the forefront of their minds.

GOD ALONE‘s approach traverses through mathrock, dance, avant-garde, post-punk and more on its way to its final destination. Citing the Talking Heads as a big influence, GOD ALONE embrace absurdism at every turn – in particular the absurdity of nothingness; the art of existing without meaning or context.

Minimalist album art courtesy of Ian McInerney highlights the repetition of things that have no clear beginning or end – the endless loop of everything and nothing all at once.

TEN are proud to present to you with their new single – the track “Look For The Rose” -from their upcoming studio album “Something Wicked This Way Comes”, which will be released on January 20, 2023, via Frontiers Records.

Pre-order/save “Something Wicked This Way Comes” HERE: https://orcd.co/tenwicked

Listen to “Look For The Rose” HERE:

UK hard rock stalwarts TEN used the downtime during the worldwide pandemic to work on not one, but two new albums. The first album to be released, “Here Be Monsters”, landed on February 18, 2022 via Frontiers Music Srl. And now, the label is pleased to announce the second album of the two, “Something Wicked This Way Comes” on January 20, 2023.

Following the success of the recent string of albums, from “Albion” to “Illuminati”, Hughes was joined once again by guitarists Dann Rosingana and Steve Grocott along with bass player Steve McKenna, keyboard maestro Darrel Treece-Birch and drummer Markus Kullman (Sinner, Glenn Hughes, Voodoo Circle) for the recording of “Something Wicked This Way Comes”. TEN continues to raise the musical bar higher for themselves, a goal they push on every release. Stunning guitar work, rich keyboards, excellent bass and drum interplay along with Hughes’ rich vocals are the order of the day here, as they were on this album’s immediate predecessor, “Here Be Monsters”.

“Something Wicked This Way Comes” was produced by Gary Hughes and mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward. TEN’s longstanding professional association with Dennis has been ongoing since he mixed their 2011 album, “Stormwarning” and has always guaranteed albums with stunning sound and production.

Fans should note that there are no ties between “Something Wicked This Way Comes” and “Here Be Monsters” or anything of this nature. The band simply crafted two high quality releases and decided to put them out separately, in a fashion not too dissimilar to what happened with their amazing first two records which were recorded one after the other in a very short period of time.

British hard rockers TEN have an outstanding history of releases in their storied and revered catalog. Starting out as a sort of solo project built around singer and songwriter Gary Hughes, TEN found their audience playing a hard rock sound influenced by such giants as UFO, Thin Lizzy, Magnum, Giant, and Whitesnake in a time when playing this particular sound was considered commericial suicide. The band’s early records such as “The Name Of The Rose”, “The Robe”, “Spellbound“, and “Babylon” established the band as mainstays in the melodic hard rock genre, which has continued throughout their now 26 year career over the course of 15 studio albums.

“Something This Wicked Way Comes” Tracklisting:
1. Look For The Rose
2. Brave New Lie
3. The Tidal Wave
4. Parabellum
5. Something Wicked This Way Comes
6. The Fire And The Rain

9. When The Darkness Comes

Scott Hughes – Backing Vocals
Karen Fell – Backing Vocals

KANSAS, America’s legendary progressive rock band, will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2023. To commemorate this landmark occasion, current label InsideOutMusic are pleased to announce Another Fork In  The Road – 50 Years Of Kansas for release on the 9th December 2022 in Europe & 16th December 2022 in North America. A career-spanning collection, it features carefully-selected tracks from across the bands sizable discography, as well as a new version of ‘Can I Tell You’. Originally recorded and released on their 1974 debut, the song is updated by the current line-up. It provides a full-circle perspective on the band’s long and continuing history that has seen them release 16 studio albums and sell in excess of 30 million albums worldwide.

Today you can also now listen to the brand new version of ‘Can I Tell You’ on streaming services. Listen now here:

“The song ‘Can I Tell You’ may not have been our biggest ‘hit,’ but it is one of the most important songs in the career of the band KANSAS.” says original member and guitarist Richard Williams. “‘Can I Tell You’ was the first song on the demo reel we sent to Don Kirshner. Hearing that demo is what led to KANSAS getting a record deal. It felt appropriate, after fifty years, to come full circle and record it with the current lineup.”

Phil Ehart comments: “We are really honored by the commitment that InsideOut Music has put into ‘Another Fork in the Road.’ This is far more than just another greatest hits album. ‘Another Fork in the Road’ is an in-depth representation of the evolving and winding musical journey of the band KANSAS that’s been 50 years in the making.”

Another Fork In The Road – 50 Years Of Kansas arrives as a 3CD Digipak collection, including extensive liner notes by journalist Jeff Wagner, as well as pictures of rarely-seen memorabilia and archive material, all overseen by founding member Phil Ehart.
