Time flies! Looking back at the last year, vicious thrash metal legends DESTRUCTION saw many successes, celebrating their 40th anniversary with the release of their impressive latest full-length record, Diabolical. Catapulting you straight into the seventh heaven of metallic bliss, their incredible 15th studio album brings out a heavy artillery full of honest and uncompromising thrash metal – a massacre of razor-sharp sound no fan of the genre should miss!

Able to travel the globe again, DESTRUCTION shared stages at the world’s biggest festivals like Hellfest, Graspop and México Metal Fest – which can now be seen in the new official music video for “Tormented Soul”. Capturing every single fan, DESTRUCTION brings you right back to the summer of metal ‘22!

DESTRUCTION about the new video:
“The enthusiasm, energy and euphoria of the Latin American Metal crowds are legendary meanwhile all around the globe. That is the reason why we have filmed the new video clip for ‘Tormented Soul’ in the middle of our Latin American Attack tour, at the Mexico Metal Fest! It was always a dream to do this and of course the fans did not disappoint: they are the star of this oldschool music video – dive into the stamina and the lunacy of a dedicated hispanic crowd! This is METAL – this is WHY we do this!“

Boasting the band’s highest German chart entry ever at #12, Diabolical kicks off with the charging start of opener “Under The Spell“. DESTRUCTION shows no mercy on title track “Diabolical“, with raging drums, bloodthirsty riffs and hellish vocals that sink deep down into your bones. “No Faith In Humanity” relentlessly rages on with non-stop headbanging action, while DESTRUCTION continues to smash eardrums on “Hope Dies Last” – providing unbeatable brutality with unstoppable speed, destructive verses and screeching voices. “Tormented Soul“, on the other hand, is loaded with proper heavy metal and explosive drums. The grand finale of the 47-minute parade of devastation is provided by cover track “City Baby Attacked By Rats“, originally by GBH, guaranteeing whiplash by combining rough hardcore punk with brute thrash metal.

DESTRUCTION riffkiller Martin Furia about the new record:
“Diabolical is an album of extremes, everything is more brutal and more technical but at the same time more melodic and to the point. It’s a pure and devastating DESTRUCTION album with no gimmicks, full of power and adrenaline. I’m excited for what the future is bringing and can’t wait to play the new songs live!”

The love we received was truly moving and it felt like the tour just started when it was over. But time moves quickly and soon it’s time to get out again. In these chaotic conditions that the world is in right now, we can’t do much than trust in music as a rewarding constant. A tool of power and comfort. For over two decades Cult of Luna have forged a sound incomparable to others – ambitious, epic, visceral, and drenched in emotion. Earlier this year Cult Of Luna released their latest full-length; The Long Road North marks as a follow-up to last year’s The Raging River EP. As is the case with every album from the band in recent years, there is a lot of shifting of dynamics and sonic density, and perhaps more so than usual on The Long Road North. “It’s a big and cinematic sounding album. I think one of the reasons why we have been able to be so productive the last couple of years is that we have been consistently writing from the heart. We have let our instincts guide us, and I think it’s getting clearer where we are heading,” reveals vocalist/guitarist Johannes Persson, who has been one of the primary driving forces behind the band since their inception.

Persson continues, “The long road north is a long road home. A direction dictated by a call that penetrates rock and echoes through the forest. It flows over every lake, accelerated by the wind. When it reaches you, you know it’s time. Time to move forward. You don’t know where it will lead but you put the trust in it. With eyes raised towards the midnight sun it pulls you closer. The road is long and the end is uncertain.“

The Long Road North features guest appearances from composer Colin Stetson, Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Brancowitz of French indie band Phoenix, and Mariam Wallentin (Wildbirds And Peacedrums).

Press quotes:

“DEATHWESTERN, the Las Vegas metallic hardcore band’s preposterously awesome new album, presents a fully formed aesthetic — a whole fleshed-out universe of pulpy sonic violence inspired by Westerns, horror, outlaw country, the occult, and the heavy metal classics of the late 20th century. ” – Stereogum

“Deathwestern is an explosive collision of genres that keeps firing until each chamber is empty.” – Decibel

“The perfect combination of old school thrash, groove, death metal and hardcore, Deathwestern is easily the best soundtrack never written by Ennio Morricone to the best Satanic spaghetti western never directed by Sergio Leone.” – Ghostcult Magazine

Following her triumphant “Faster” UK tour in October 2022, American guitarist, and singer songwriter Samantha Fish, is pleased to announce that she will return to the UK for a 9-date UK tour in October 2023.

Planet Rock’s 48-hour ticket pre-sale starts at 9am on Wednesday 30 November via the pre-sale link athttps://planetrock.gigantic.com/samantha-fish-tickets.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 2 December at alttickets.com, gigantic.com, ticketmaster.co.uk, and samanthafish.com.

Samantha will perform songs from her 2021 album “Faster.” The album includes the singles “Twisted Ambition”, “All Ice, No Whiskey”, “Better Be Lonely” and “Faster.” Samantha will also perform songs from her extensive back catalogue including the radio smash single “Bulletproof” from her 2019 breakthrough album, “Kill Or Be Kind.”

“Faster” is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed “Kill or Be Kind” album, and marks Samantha’s first collaboration with producer Martin Kierszenbaum (Lady Gaga, Sting), who co-wrote eight of the album’s 12 new songs and helped the genre-defying guitarist, singer, and songwriter to re-define her sound and venture into new sonic territory.

After launching her recording career in 2009, Samantha established herself as a rising star in the contemporary blues world. The charismatic singer-guitarist-songwriter has earned a reputation as a rising guitar hero and powerful live performer, while releasing a series of acclaimed albums that have shown her restless creative spirit consistently pushing her in new, exciting, and often unexpected musical directions.

The New York Times called Fish, “An impressive blues guitarist who sings with sweet power,” and “One of the genre’s most promising young talents.” Her hometown paper, the Kansas City Star wrote: “Samantha Fish has kicked down the door of the patriarchal blues club and displays more imagination and creativity than some blues veterans exhibit over the course of their careers.”

Samantha believes her musical future is an open road. “I’m never going be a traditional blues artist, because that’s not who I am,” she says. “But it’s all the Blues for me. When Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf came out, what they were doing didn’t sound like anything that had been done in Blues before. You’ve got to keep that kind of fire and spirit. I’m never going to do Muddy Waters better than Muddy Waters, so I try to be who I am, and in doing that, I find my best voice.”
