Iranian TARANTIST Drop New Single ‘Revolution’

Thousands of years ago, at the direction of Cyrus the Great, Iran became the first cradle of human rights in the world. Yet the nation’s current rulers have the greatest animosity for human rights and freedom. Mass murder and genocide with war weapons by terrorist regime of Iran has been happening inside the country, specifically since late September 2022 after murdering #Mahsa_Amini by the government of Iran. The entire nation (inside and outside of Iran) are raising and protesting to change the current situation now, and after the violent crackdown of protesters by authorities, protest soon changed its nature to A Revolution. Women are leading this movement claiming freedom and their basic rights. Many ordinary people, young students from middle school to university, artists, journalists, athletes and etc. have been arrested and most of them have been sentenced with death penalty. Prisoners including young and minor girls are being raped inside the prison by authorities.

Iranian metal band TARANTIST have been active with their social-political content and music during all these years. The band has release 6 songs since September to support the cause, the movement and their people. Their new song “Revolution” has just been released on all platforms, where the band says “This is not a protest, this is a Revolution”.

TarantisT is producing new songs on a daily/weekly basis to march towards this Revolution with all Iranians seeking freedom and liberty for their country with the main slogan of “Women, Life, Freedom”.

Instagram, TikTok and some other social medias have put limitation and restrictions to TarantisT’s accounts due to posting images and footages of the protest, violence of the Islamic Republic authorities and due to the use of social-political hashtags.

About TarantisT:

Formed in 2000 by a group of young underground metal heads, TarantisT originated in the basement alternative rock and heavy metal scenes in their native Tehran, Iran. VIRTUAL SYMMETRY Release ‘Fantasie Di Verità’ Official Video

Following their successful European tour with Evergrey, Swiss-Italian cinematic/progressive metal outfit VIRTUAL SYMMETRY has issued a new official video for “Fantasie Di Verità,” the epic song found on the band’s eponymous fourth album, which was released in September through Sensory Records.

Featuring eight immersive songs, Virtual Symmetry was recorded by the band then mixed and mastered at Domination Studio by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Michael Romeo, Turilli Lione Rhapsody) and completed with artwork and photography by Kyrhian Balmelli.

The new video was directed by Giampiero Zappa. VIRTUAL SYMMETRY vocalist Marco Pastorino writes, “We decided to release the video of ‘Fantasie Di Verità’, one of the most appreciated tracks from our latest album and one of the most requested tracks of the tour with Evergrey. VIRTUAL SYMMETRY was founded in 2009 as a solo project of guitarist Valerio Æsir Villa, when the first ideas for the debut album, Message From Eternity, began taking shape. The band’s lineup has since expanded to now include vocalist Marco Pastorino, keyboardist Marco “Mark” Bravi, bassist Alessandro Poppale, and drummer Alfonso Mocerino. Featuring members of Temperance and Fallen Sanctuary, the band is a revelation in the progressive metal universe, stunning their fans and listeners with influences which range from classical music to contemporary metal and a style characterized by epic suites, rich of cinematic elements and balance between melody and technique, leading the listeners through a dynamic and emotional journey in each track.

Between 2018 and 2020, VIRTUAL SYMMETRY composed and produced their third album, Exoverse, which was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Bath, UK, and featured special guests including legendary drummer Thomas Lang, a return performance by Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess, saxophonist Ruben Paganelli, the symphonic orchestra Sinfonietta Consonus, and Evergrey’s Tom S. Polish Cairo-Based Guitarist/Songwriter ANDRZEJ CITOWICZ Returns with New “Winter Songs” EP

ANDRZEJ CITOWICZ – Polish Cairo-based guitarist and songwriter, former recording artist for Down Boys Records (record label belonging to Erik Turner and Jerry Dixon from Warrant band) and also ex-guitarist for T.A.C.E. Project – is back again, after only a few months’ break, with his new, special “Winter Songs” EP, under the moniker CITOVITZ AND THE FIREFLIES OF FEBRUARY!

“Originally, my release was meant to be released a few months ago (“Misery Loves Company”) should have been a double release. For many reasons, I had to let go of the idea. However, I felt sorry for the songs that still had a place in my heart, and had the potential to be released. -Citowicz says- “So I decided that these extremely sentimental, even cinematic instrumental, guitar recordings should have a place on some special release. I didn’t want to record a typical Christmas / Holiday album, so I decided to just release a winter album, which has potential to become a soundtrack for this season.”

The newest EP will feature 5 guitar, instrumental songs.

“This release has become unique in many ways – Citowicz continues -. “The cover of E.P. is by the excellent Polish artist & photographer, winner of several awards: Piotr Sadoczynski. But the cover of the upcoming single ‘I Don’t Wanna Live My Life Without You’ was created by 3 years old Michał Szymański, son of my bass player, Patryk Szymański”.

Single promoting the EP will appear in early December, and the E.P itself mid-December on all important digital sites (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc…)

Female Fronted SETANERA to Release New Album “Equilibrium” in February, First Details Revealed

SETANERA is an Italian female fronted metal band quite popular in the national scene and now ready to overcome Italian borders and release a new album entitled EQUILIBRIUM that will be out on February 17th 2023.

Setanera’s label Volcano Records & Promotion reveals today the cover artwork and tracklist of this new record that comes a few years after the previous one released in 2015.

Setanera enriched the original influences deeply rooted in symphonic metal to open their sonic world to many other tastes that promise to make EQUILIBRIUM a pure modern metal gem. The band will release other details to the album in the next few weeks and before EQUILIBRIUM will be out in February.

Italian BELLADONNA Release ‘Nothing Shines Unless It Burns’, Auction a 1/1 NFT of Song Recorded with Theoretical Physicist Carlo Rovelli

Historic collaboration between the Italian rock band BELLADONNA and the famous theoretical physicist. The song’s NFT will be auctioned from the 23rd of November. The auction winner will also become the co-owner of the song’s Master rights.

Carlo Rovelli is one of the most prominent living theoretical physicists: author of the best-selling book Seven Brief Lessons on Physics (translated into 41 languages, more than a million copies sold) and a founder of Loop Quantum Gravity, he was included by the prestigious journal Foreign Policy in its list of the 100 most influential thinkers in the world. 

The single “Nothing Shines Unless It Burns” is a collaboration between Carlo Rovelli and Italian rock band Belladonna. The voice and the reflections about time of the scientist (who dedicated his 2017 book The Order of Time to the subject of time) float in the cinematic and dreamlike rock noir atmosphere created by the band founded by Luana Caraffa and Dani Macchi.

“Nothing Shines Unless It Burns” is an 8-minutes long track with a strong emotional impact, as confirmed by Carlo Rovelli himself: “It is wonderful for me to see the emotion that secretly nourished my book on Time emerge in this very intense song”. 
“Carlo Rovelli’s spoken-word contribution bestows upon our song an emotional power and multidimensionality that never fails to send shivers down our spines” remarks Belladonna’s singer Luana Caraffa.

The song is also enhanced by the passionate drumming of Alex Elena (producer of international artists such as Lily Allen and Citizen Cope, nominated for a Grammy for his work as a producer with the American soul singer Alice Smith and known to the world rock public for having been in the 90s the drummer for Skunkworks, the band of Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson) and by the visionary and poetic violin solo that crowns the ending of the track, performed by Emilio “Zef” China (violinist/ bassist for Bauhaus’ Peter Murphy and Korn’s Jonathan Davis.

“Nothing Shines Unless It Burns” was written by Belladonna’s Luana Caraffa and Dani Macchi, and it is their third NFT single. Last year their “New Future Travelogue” NFT was the first NFT single in the world to include a song’s Master rights. Since then, many artists and many NFT marketplaces have followed in the footsteps of Belladonna by offering this revolutionary model. 

“Belladonna’s music has already been synched in many international trailers and movies (Minions, Split, Peaky Blinders, The Northman, Fantastic 4, Black Panther, Godless and Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 11/9 to name just a few), and we’d be immensely happy if ‘Nothing Shines Unless It Burns’ too ends up in a movie or trailer”, says Belladonna’s guitarist Dani Macchi

There will be only a single NFT, and a single vinyl copy of “Nothing Shines Unless It Burns”. The song’s NFT will be auctioned and the winner will co-own the rights of the song. Ownership of the rights will give the auction’s winner 50% of Belladonna’s streaming and syncs revenues for the song.

The winner of the auction will also immediately have access to the high-quality WAV file of the original Master of “Nothing Shines Unless It Burns”, and to the document that assigns her/him the rights of the Master of the song. In addition, she/he will be sent personally by the band the only existing 12” vinyl copy of the single.
