Sweden’s GRANDE ROYALE return with the digital single “Tell Me”. Mixed by mixed By Robert Pehrsson (Death Breath, Dundertåget, Imperial State Electric, to name a few), “Tell Me” is the first taste of the Scandinavian garage rock outfit’s upcoming, sixth studio album “Welcome to Grime Town”. Picking up where Grande Royale’s latest album “Carry On” from 2021 left off, the new material showcases what the four-piece does best; straight forward, melodic, and explosive rock music.

Grande Royale on the new single “Tell Me”:
“Johan Häll (drums) had a hard time recording his part. He spent three days in the studio trying to make the track swing. When he thought he finally had nailed it, he sent the track to our guitarist/singer Gustav Wremer. Gustav wasn’t pleased with the way Johan had played on the track and actually deleted his recording. The two of them had a heated discussion with almost fists being thrown at each other. Johan was furious and went back in the drum recording room and actually played it one last time, totally smashing the kit. And that’s the version that eventually was used.“

Grande Royale’s upcoming album “Welcome to Grime Town” will be released on The Sign Records in March, 2023. The single “Tell Me” is out now on all streaming platforms.

Grande Royale are:
Johan Häll – Drums and vocals
Samuel Georgsson – Bass and vocals
Calle Rydberg – Guitar and vocals
Gustav Wremer – Guitar and vocals

SOLIDITY Release New Music Video ‘Masterpiece of a Stoned Heart’

SOLIDITY released their diverse and innovative second album “Evolution Of Prodigality” in April this year, combining a vast scale of elements ranging from progressive, modern, and melodic death metal to huge electronic parts and a massive wall of synth. The new music video was shot for the album’s monumental four-part title song, “Masterpiece of a Stoned Heart” (Evolution Of Prodigality Part IV.).

Vocalist Attila Kovács “Penge” commented:

“We’re extremely happy to have managed to pour another outstanding piece of “Evolution Of Prodigality” into visual form, the monstrous “Masterpiece of a Stoned Heart” which is a perfect summary of our musical direction. This is out third music video from the album, and this is our presend to all those who have been with us all this year, attended our shows, or shared the stage with us all around the country. The video was shot by the Kill Monday Management crew.“

Solidity’s second album “Evolution of Prodigality” features complex and melodic riffs, but modern, progressive parts and electronic elements play a much bigger role than ever before. These ingredients actually play a very well thought role in the music due to the album’s semi-conceptual nature. On top of that, lead singer Attila also combines his melodic voice with deep growls, giving a unique listening experience to all lovers of the genre. The album contains 8 new songs and 3 bonus tracks. Strongly recommended to the fans of Opeth, Scar Symmetry, Nevermore, and Sybreed!

Solidity was formed by guitarist/songwriter/lyricist László Triesz and vocalist Attila Kovács, in 2012, but their 8-track debut album “An Abnormal Collection” was only released in 2016. An EP was also released in 2019 with 4 songs, but that only turned out to be the herald of the album that arrived this year. The band focused all their creative energies during the pandemic to finally complete “Evolution of Prodigality”, a modern progressive / melodic death metal semi-concept album with strong influence of electronic elements.

SOLIDITY Members:
Kovács Attila – lead & backing vocals, lyrics
Triesz László – guitars, programming, lyrics
Dr. Kemény Zsolt – bass
Bertók Richárd – drums

Continuing his trek down the rabbit hole Italian multi-genre producer, musician, and vocalist Marco Calanca also known as BECKO returns with the fifth installment of his upcoming ’90s-inspired concept album Present Day//Present Time with “Follow the White R@bbit” (feat. Hoshikuma Minami of  DEATHNYANN).

The new track is a J Metal, breakcore, and drum & bass fusion with a bit of metalcore influence from an artist whose signature move is breaking genre barriers. Featuring defiant lyrics sung in both Japanese and English, the talented Hoshikuma Minami of DEATHNYANN and Becko‘s signature screaming vocals intertwine with a turbulent rush of energy bouncing between heavy metal guitars and drum & bass rhythms to create a chaotic atmosphere that encapsulates a soundscape filled with a deep sense of urgency.

“‘Follow The White R@bbit’ is a break-core / drum n bass, anime core track with metalcore influences,”
explains Becko. “The track reminds me also the Japanese metal/rock world with the amazing Hoshikuma Mimami vocals (singer in Deathnyann / JMetal and Wagamama rakia JPop) and the anime world.“

Rising from the ashes of post-hardcore band Hopes Die Last, Italian multi-genre producer, musician, and vocalist Marco Calanca created Becko as a solo project, uniting influences of EDM, Hip-Hop, Industrial, and Emo-Rock.
With previous releases under his belt with labels ranging from Warner Italy and Universal Italy, to Monstercat, Lowly Palace, and Smash the House since 2014, Becko found a new home in early 2020, signing a multi-album deal with the independent, artist-owned/operated USA-based electronic-rock label FiXT, founded by genre-pioneering artist & producer Klayton (Celldweller, Circle of Dust).
In 2020, Becko released the full-length album INNER SELF, as a triumphant fusion of trap & metal. In 2021 Becko released a flurry of singles including “Darkest Days” which was produced by Mike Shinoda all on the path leading up to the release of his second full-length trap-metal album with FiXT, You Are (Not) Alone, which dropped in early 2022. Becko introduced his latest 90s-inspired concept album  Present Day//Present Time with the release of “Home” and continues to build towards the full album release in 2023.

After their previous release “The Sky is the Limit”, Norwegian band STARGAZER entered the radar of connoisseurs of the hard rocking world. The group was loudly hailed as one to watch. They received a lot of great reviews all over the western world and were, back then in late 2019, ready to take on the world for serious touring. But serious touring saw an abrupt end due to Covid-19 for almost every band in 2020-21, with Stargazer being no exception.

The nordic five-piece didn’t lose their spirit and, diligently, took the downtime to start penning their next album. Produced by guitar player William Ernstsen and vocalist Tore André Helgemo, “Life Will Never Be The Same” is the result of those dark times with a silver lining ahead. Engineered by William at Jedimasterstudios, Trondheim, and mixed and mastered in Medley Studios, Copenhagen, by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Electric Guitars, etc), “Life Will Never Be The Same” is exactly the kind of album that you’d expect from a matured Stargazer and then some.

The five-piece powerhouse hammers on with Scandinavian vibes that consists of virtuosity and a vintage sound with a modern twist. Firing on all cylinders in combination with the sense of good melodies, great riffs, solos and songwriting handcraft. With one of rock’s best voices and one of the best blues-based hard rock guitar players around today. All this on top of a rock steady hard groove with killer rock songs such as “Live My Dream”, or down to the most tender and heartfelt tunes, as for example the single “Live Today”, with emotions worn on their sleeves.

“Life Will Never Be The Same” is the sound of Norwegian classic hard rock flagship, and Stargazer sets sail again with this third release in their discography. One to change their life – and yours – for good.

“Life Will Never Be The Same” will be released on digital, digipack CD and gatefold double LP (black vinyl, limited to 500 units) via Mighty Music on March 3rd, 2023. Pre-orders are available here and here.
