All Star BELTFED WEAPON Drop Second Single ‘Darkened Demise’

Pacific Northwest Thrash/Speed/Death Metal Guitarist Frank Hetzel’s All Star Project BELTFED WEAPON drop their second single and lyric video for the title track ‘Darkened Demise’ with Steve Tucker, Jason Viebrooks, Kragen Lum & Bryan Newbury.

“One day the words darkened demise just came into my head. I didn’t know what the meaning was, but I thought it sounded cool, so I looked it up and demise has a few meanings, one which is a person’s death. With darkened at the beginning I thought the concept of death to a powerful corrupt leader would fit, and that mixed well with the war concept which has been the root of Beltfed Weapon.  I have enjoyed watching a lot of war documentaries, so this song is back to the root, and what Steve Tucker did with the vocals on this song, he absolutely crushes! I am very honored to have the opportunity to work with him, as well as everyone else on the Darkened Demise EP.” – Frank Hetzel

“Being involved with Beltfed Weapon has been a killer time with killer friends. The songs are heavy and still maintain a hook as well. I’m super proud of what we’ve done and I for one am looking forward to bringing the stuff to the live stage in the future” – Jason Viebrooks

“My good friend,  Jason Viebrooks, mentioned this project he was involved in,  Beltfed Weapon  and asked me if I would be interested in doing vocals on a couple songs.  After hearing the material and talking to Frank, I thought it sounded really good and I liked the idea of doing some vocals on this thrash project. Not only does the music sound great, it was a lot of fun doing something a bit different.” – Steve Tucker

One of the hardest working metalcore band from the Sweden’s westcoast, WRITING THE FUTURE, is back with highly anticipated new music alongside four upcoming gigs in Kristianstad (Nov 5th), Örebro (Nov 11th), Stockholm (Nov 12th) and Trollhättan (Dec 10th).

Writing The Future has since its start in 2013 released one album and three EPs on their own, alongside executing several tours supporting, for example, Her Bright Skies, Corroded, and Lillasyster as well as performing at some of Sweden’s biggest festivals. Not only that, but the band has also been mentioned as “Best Metalcore-band” two years in a row by Close Up Magazine.

In 2020 Writing The Future teamed up with GAIN/Fifth Island Music for their second album where the emphasis lies in their pride to stand up for themselves and fight for the mutual goals between them and their fans and followers. If you ever been bullied, abused or depressed, or if you have opinions on religion, climate or world health, you can expect to relate to the band’s well-written and meaningful lyrics.

Three singles from the album has been released so far, ‘Jaded Eyes feat. Xerzie)‘, ‘As Above So Below‘, and ‘Broken Heart‘.

On October 21st Writing The Future is set to release their next single titled ‘Death Is The Only Way Out‘. Continuing to expand on their patented sound and concept, the song is a clever and sharp criticism on the existing gaps and class differences in today’s society. The single will also be accompanied by a premium music video recorded and directed by the band themselves.

“We are all born without the same preferences.
But we all die and end up the same.
What we choose to spend our time at between birth and death is equal.
We choose to dance.
Dance until death is the only way out.”

ANGELIC FORCES Release Video for New Song ‘Armageddon’ from Upcoming Album

Netherlands based heavy metal band ANGELIC FORCES have released the video for their new song “Armageddon“.

The video was filmed in the city of Groningen in the Netherlands and was produced by Fred Mantel.

The song is a preview of their upcoming new album “Arise” to be made available on both CD and vinyl by No Dust Records and exclusively distributed in North America by Animated Insanity Records.

Angelic Forces band line-up:

Harold de Vries – vocals/guitar
Maurice Gijsman – Guitar
Wilco van der Meij – Bass
Rudie Kingma – Drums

In 2014, bass player Wilco van der Meij decided that it was time for a change in his life and left the band Methusalem, however Wilco couldn’t walk away from the heavy metal music he had grown to love, and decided to start a metal band again. So Wilco set out to form a new band and was soon able to add to the lineup drummer-Rudie Kingma, vocalist and guitarist-Harold de Vries (former front man of Methusalem) and guitarist-Maurice Gijsman (L.S.D.).

By the Spring of 2015, the band was complete and then the new group began to contemplate a band name. The band quickly decided on the moniker – “Angelic Forces” because it was a good fit for the style of music the band wanted to play. On June 2016, Angelic Forces recorded their first single and that same month, after its first release, the single received positive reactions worldwide.

In 2018, Angelic Forces stepped onto the metal scene with the release of their self-titled 3-track EP recorded at the “Soundlodge studio” in Germany and again received lots of positive reactions worldwide, from the Christian scene as well as the seculiar scene.

In the past years, Angelic Forces managed the create a steady fan base on both scenes and played with well known metal acts like: Leviticus, War of Ages, Slechtvalk, as well as Tygers of Pan Tang and festivals that included major acts like: Cradle of Filth and King Diamond (our light will shine strong there).

Angelic Forces is a heavy metal band from the Netherlands that is strongly influenced by the 80’s metal scene, but with their own special sound.
Angelic Forces knows how to convince the audience with straight forward heavy metal, powerful songs, heavy sound and their energetic live performance.

MESSAGE FROM THE BAND: “Thinking back to the release date of the “Part 1” back in 2020 makes you realize what a crazy time we all went through just during the last two years: who could have imagined that our “Dystopia” – project would reflect the harsh reality in such detail? And the madness is still ongoing.

In any case, “Dystopia – Part 2” is even more relevant today than ever: we followed the general concept yet filled it up with images of current events in order to make it resonate with every person, everybody living through 2020 to 2022 and watching insanity to unfold in real time”.

Bahrain’s 7MND Announces Deeply, Introspective Progressive Single ‘Verge of Collapse’ from “Cataclysm” EP

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 16, 2022
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: 7MND, Hamad Ebrahim Hamad. Leave a comment

7MND is the solo project of Bahrain’s Hamad Ebrahim Hamad. It started when he was in his late teens, and it was very different from what it is now, but in spirit, the idea behind it is the same: making music that he feels represents him best. It started out as an electronic/experimental project as he first began dabbling in music production, and then it shifted more towards a progressive metal direction. Now it becomes a playground where he fuses all his inspirations together, tells stories through, and conveys emotion. 7MND now has a second EP “Cataclysm” about to be unleashed on the world, and Hamad is introducing it with the single “Verge of Collapse”:

“The single is initially very groove-driven, and then it dives into a roaring cacophony of emotions. The dark, and the honestly vulnerable start of the journey. It lays out the feelings of the main character of the story, how he feels about the world he inhabits, and how heavy the weight of it all feels on his shoulders. It represents nowadays mind’s vortex, complexity, and mystery, melodic guitars mixed with beautiful electronics that don’t necessarily scream out but are buried inside with a hint of craziness, creating layers of melodies, “Verge of Collapse” is a great example of how metal/rock music evolved into something more technical yet with a soul, it is a new genre of its own in the Middle East, a new direction in music writing.” says Hamad.

“Cataclysm” is a concept EP where every track flows into the other like one long song, Hamad hopes to give the listener a journey through the story he tells, one that is easy to relate to, and one that they will find comfort in, through all its relatable moments. He says that he can only hope that it’s a cathartic listen, or one that evokes any type of emotional response, whether in body, mind, or heart.

Emotionally heavy, deeply layered, and introspective, Hamad likes to draw inspiration from both his personal experiences and the stories that fill his life from games, TV shows, and movies. 7MND is recommended for fans of The Contortionist, Stephan Bodzin, and Between the Buried and Me.

7MND‘s “Cataclysm” is due out on November 18, 2022.

About:
Guitarist/Producer Hamad Ebrahim Hamad from Bahrain, is into various types of music, mainly Metal and Electronic music, he loves to dabble and experiment in new things.

Hamad’s music is a tapestry of stylistic diversity. Whether it’s technical, progressive, djent, or electronic, he finds a way to make the style his own, bending it to his will, and adding it to his repertoire. Oscillating between the familiar and the strange, Hamad’s writing taps into previous melodies, creating reminiscent focal points as the journey progresses. Each track draws the listener in with comforting ambient spaces, subsequently filling them with barrages of intricate riffs like a rolling storm.

Though the music is good enough to give off an intimidating vibe, Hamad is a joy to work with and incredibly easy to approach. His demeanor in the studio is comedic and laidback, but this does not take away from his persistence and professionalism. Always willing to try out new approaches, styles and techniques, both in writing and production, Hamad is quickly making a name for himself in the budding Bahraini music scene.

Hamad’s artistry is not only confined to the sanctuary of the studio. With fifteen live performances under his belt, he maintains solid stage presence and leaves the audience in awe. Credit where credit is due, Hamad remains as one of the most talented and upcoming musicians in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
