THE SADE Release New Track ‘King And Queen’

Italian Gothic/Death Rock outfit THE SADE are gearing up for the release of the band’s brand new full-length record, entitled “Nocturna”, which will be coming out on October 28th via Go Down Records!

After the band recently released the first single “Sinner”, The Sade follows up today with the brand new track “King And Queen”.

The Sade comments:

“The album’s most intense track, slow and decadent, is about the relationship between man and woman, elevated to king and queen. Life’s sorrows infect their dark love. Together they will only find peace in death.“

“Nocturna” is a somber album, influenced by the pandemic situation of the last two years and it further increases the already dark style of The Sade. This work collects eclectic tracks composed between 2019 and 2020, which move far away from the rock’n’roll vibes of the early days, to turn into a new dark-wave and goth mood.

The cover with the black rooster is emblematic, complex and represents the triumph of the “beast” in a pessimistic and nihilistic depiction of the human condition, which is now more fragile and guilty than ever. It is a visual recall to the Middle Ages as a time of darkness, dominated by ignorance and uncertainty, comparable to what we are experiencing today. The rooster is a symbol of passage between life and death, light and shadow, beginning and ending, fall and rebirth, unstable like the mood during recent lockdowns. It leads us on a musical journey into the deep darkness of this alienation: melancholic moments alternate with massive doses of synthetic sounds, with 80s and post-punk overtones.

“Nocturna” will be coming out on October 28th via Go Down Records and is available for pre-order here: LP – CD – DIGITAL

SAVAGE EXISTENCE Founder + Guitarist DANIEL CLELAND Releases New Book: “12 Laws of the Jungle: How to Become a Lethal Entrepreneur”

Entrepreneur, founder and guitarist of Savage Existence, and author DANIEL CLELAND is set to release his latest book on October 25, “12 Laws of the Jungle: How to Become a Lethal Entrepreneur,” just before the release of the band’s newest single, “Cull” on November 2.

“12 Laws of the Jungle” has been called “your must-have machete for the jungle of entrepreneurship.” It guides readers through the 12 principles Cleland followed to shoot his ayahuasca retreat center, Soltara Healing Center, to the top 3 in the world and survive an unforgiving market after COVID-19 threatened to obliterate their revenues. These 12 principles also allowed Cleland to create the now internationally-acclaimed metal band Savage Existence whose lyrical themes resemble the book’s: primal instincts, ruthless decision making, and a “be the predator, not the prey” mentality.

Savage Existence’s first album “Animals” was produced by Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly, Once Human) and they have toured in their first year with legendary acts like Sepultura, Exodus, Suffocation and more. Their self-titled second album will be released in 2023, boasting several guest features from guitar legend Gary Holt of Exodus and Slayer.

BOOK SUMMARY:
One month after Daniel Cleland scales his startup to seven figures, solidifying its rank in the top three ayahuasca healing centers in the world, COVID-19 obliterates the company’s revenues. He now has sixty days to find hundreds of thousands of dollars in survival funds or face extinction.

Racing against time, Cleland hacks his way through the proverbial (and sometimes literal) jungle one perilous step at a time. Walking the tightrope of zero revenues. Connecting to other high-profile entrepreneurs like Patrick Bet-David and Aubrey Marcus. Applying unorthodox tactics to prevent employee AWOLs. Staving off agonizing betrayals.

In his former debut, Pulse of the Jungle, Cleland described how the Peruvian jungle awakened him, expanding his mind with new insights into entrepreneurship. This time, unprecedented global lockdowns test him to the limit, revealing the twelve primal laws of entrepreneurial survival that kept him alive and thriving in an unforgiving market.

This book is for entrepreneurs and musicians alike who are ready to apply the laws of the jungle to their businesses, their bands, and their lives.

AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY:
Daniel Cleland is CEO of Soltara Healing Center, which gained worldwide recognition in 2019 as THE preeminent Shipibo healing center outside Peru and is now regularly visited by the most prominent influencers, celebrities, and public figures. One of the patrons includes Logan Mader who he met backstage at a concert in 2020 when Mader expressed interest in an ayahuasca retreat at Soltara. Shortly after meeting, Cleland founded the now internationally acclaimed band Savage Existence and Mader produced their debut album, “Animals.” Since then, the Savage Existence has toured with iconic acts like Sepultura, Monstrosity, and more and is working on their second album coming out in 2023. Cleland holds a Masters of Intercultural and International Communication, but he learned his hard-knock style of scaling from years of traveling, living, and hustling in the merciless Amazon jungles of South America. He is often referred to as “The Indiana Jones of Entrepreneurship,” after applying the principles in this book to his company, his band, and everything he puts his mind to.

KILLER DWARFS Recall Time When Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris Calmed Hostile U.K. Crowd in 1988

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 17, 2022
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Darrell Dwarf, KILLER DWARFS, The Metal Voice. Leave a comment

For The Metal Voice former Anthrax singer Neil Turbin spoke to drummer Darrell Dwarf from the Killer Dwarfs at the Whisky in L.A. on Oct 13, 2022. Darrell Dwarf spoke about the band’s new music; an incident touring when opening Iron Maiden in 1988; David Ellefson unfairly getting thrown out of Megadeth and the possibility of a ‘Stand Tall’ Re-issue.

When asked if the Killer Dwarfs are working on new music?
“We have some new music in the can. We actually have recorded a few tracks and we want to try them out on the fan base. It’s been a long time since we’ve recorded an album and so we’ve actually recorded two tracks. We’re kind of indecisive right now on whether we’re going to go all the way with a full album or are we releasing tracks like a lot of bands are just releasing downloaded tracks. This new music is exciting because it’s like we didn’t have to work so hard to come up with these. We still didn’t know what kind of animal it was going to be and we were really relieved to listen to it back and say that’s the Dwarfs, that’s us man. Well we’re playing one of the songs in the shows now, we’ll play it tonight. Initially it was sort of something we were referring to as the Cheap Trick song. When we got together and played it, it sort of turned into a Dwarf song with a Cheap Trick flavor to it. It’s just a melodic tune, it’s a cool tune  ‘Weight of the world’ is the (name of ) the track that we have been playing live. We didn’t intend on playing anything until we released it but we just started kicking it around at one show in Canada and it just felt so good that we continued to do it and we actually want to try it out with the fans you know to see their reaction.”

When asked if they will ever re-release the classic album ‘Stand Tall’ which is unavailable
“There’s a bit of politics going on with that record. I can’t really get into too much about it because Epic Records owned the record but we’re going to get it back actually and we can get it back so that’s just something that’s a work of progress, we have people working on that.  That record sold 70 000 records in the US when it first came out, it’s a popular Dwarf’s record and fans now clamor for it to buy it on eBay for 900 bucks which drives me crazy. It’s a sought-after album to get.”

When asked if they are still on  David Ellefson Label
“We’ve released a live album (EMP Label Group “Live No Guff!) we weren’t completely locked in on anything on that deal with them. We gave them the live album and ‘Start @ One’ ( lost studio Album) to put it out on his label (EMP) to release  worldwide, you know, physical copies. We were going to record new music as well but his label went South as you know right from his unfortunate experience of not knowing how to turn a camera off on the internet.  I don’t know exactly how that all went down and it’s none of my business whatever happened to Dave (Ellefson). I feel bad for him actually and I love masturbating. (Laughs). I think it was unfair that he (David Ellefson) got fired from the band (Megadeth). It was so harsh, like people, kill people and still get their gig. I was on his (Ellefson) side. I’m gonna just be honest  I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to that whole thing when it went down but then all of a sudden Dave Mustaine comes out and says he’s (Ellefson) is no longer with us, like holy crap. Megadeth was a pretty tight unit with him (Ellefson) in it. They did a lot of touring together and had huge hit records. “

When asked about opening with Iron Maiden in 1988, in the U.K.
“When we were younger we were full of piss and vinegar and we weren’t afraid of anybody or anything. We would go out with Priest or Dio… we toured with all these bands. We had no fear man and that’s a cool thing and we just went out and kicked ass. We were so excited to open for Maiden in the UK and Steve Harris loved us and it was so positive.  So our first show was in Wales. We came out with all guns blazing and Russ (Dwarf) came out with the tricycle. The whole thing is just ballistic right. We open up the set with something fast.  So we come out and within two minutes of the first song all of a sudden we’re getting spit on, like Gob, like thousands of Gobs. What is going on here? I mean these Fu** limeys are like (spitting)  big gobs and they’re hitting us. It’s getting all over  Mike’s guitar. What the F*** is this? So after that barrage we go into the second song then it’s coins, all of a sudden boom oh were getting pelted with (pound) coins. Whipping pound coins  like rocks.  Then by the third song Steve Harris walked out on stage and grabbed the F*** mic. I gained a whole new respect for that guy and that’s why I love him to this day. And he said you mother*** stop **** throwing S** at These Guys these guys. They are our guests now F*** off and stop doing it and he walked off.  And it never happened again and all the rest of the tour went smoothly. And the press came out like Kerrang and they go these guys are winning over the Maiden fans and Maiden fans loved us.”

AURORA BOREALIS Release Official Video ‘Founding Fathers Of Deception’, New Album Out November 4th

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 17, 2022

Blackened Death Metallers AURORA BOREALIS have released their official video ‘Founding Fathers Of Deception’, taken from the band’s upcoming album “Prophecy is the Mold in which History is Poured”, coming out on November 4th via Hammerheart Records.

Aggressive Blackened Death Metal with hooks and technical finesse that invokes the Ancient Gods!

Pre-order the album here. Artwork was created by Mike Hrubovcak.

Watch the video below.

Aurora Borealis has been around for years (going back to as far as 1994! and it has mostly self-released their albums. Underground fanatics might remember the band reaching out to promote its music on forums back in the day and tracking its progress, each album was a large improvement over the earlier ones. And through time Aurora Borealis had great drummers ranked in its line-ups: Tony Laureano, Derek Roddy and Tim Yeung, which indicates the quality and level we talk about here.

Aurora Borealis plays Black/Death Metal, remaining gritty not unlike Angelcorpse, but being more dynamic comparatively. It has got unique themes and the album artworks represent that. As the band name suggests, they are indicative of the Aurora Borealis phenomenon although the band has  progressed to involve sci-fi imagery not far removed from Nocturnus, where artworks are concerned. Musically, the band remains true to its original Black/Death sound but it’s doing it with far more potential and competency than the others.

The band’s definitely got a solid US death metal sense, it is not flirting too much with the European style of melody-infused death metal as it may appear. One will be surprised to find it so hard-hitting and gravelly and yet be rife with some of the most driven and enthusiastic activity. It is not solely focused on being technical (which in a way it is) but it is varied and it is catchy. Floridian Death Metal bands have much in common with the way Aurora Borealis structures its songs and there is the ever-present Morbid Angel influence, infected with some early Malevolent Creation rabidity. This is what makes death metal so good, few could contest with that.

It’s got Death Metal in its genes, but Aurora Borealis takes the vitriol from Black Metal especially in the vocal department and gives the music an edge that is hard to miss. Here there is that special spice, that sizzling quality that comes from the rasps, adding a certain Thrashiness to it as well.  The hooks make this album special, because writing good songs can be safely left in the hands of founding member Ron Vento. It might be normal to get lost a bit in the music but they come as a constant reminder of the quality of the band’s music, never letting your attention drift too far away.

“Prophecy is the Mold in Which History is Poured” is an accomplished effort, where the band has used its almost three decades of experience to make sure it’s as potent as ever, probably better.
