Finnish LAMORI Drop New Single & Video ‘Requiem’

REQUIEM is LAMORI‘s 3rd single taken from the upcoming album NEON BLOOD FIRE.

Requiem is a death hymn of epic proportions. Its majestic foundation is very much inspired by Tibetan Buddhist chants. Influenced by the poem A Carcass by Charles Baudelaire, singer Matias J. came up with the lyrics one cold winter night, after having witnessed the death of a swan on the frozen sea. It will take the listener on a journey both mesmerizing and macabre, with a very progressive approach to its musical structure. The song is the third single to be released from the new upcoming album NEON BLOOD FIRE.

Buy/Stream REQUIEM HERE

LAMORI has been developing their own take on the goth rock genre for over 10 years now. Combining gothic rock and metal with electronics and dark wave to produce their own neon-lit flavor. Founded in 2009 on the Aland Islands of Finland, the constellation has stayed unchanged – however, their sound is ever-evolving.

NEON BLOOD FIRE, the band’s fourth album to be released by Wormholedeath, will refine the soundscapes heard on the 2020 released NEO NOIR, but also introduce completely new elements to the mix. This album will have some of the heaviest LAMORI songs ever heard!

Tommy Henriksen’s CROSSBONE SKULLY Release Debut Single ‘Evil World Machine’, Official Music Video Premieres at San Francisco Fan Expo

“Evil World Machine”, the first single from the exciting new multi-dimensional CROSSBONE SKULLY project dropped today. Next Saturday, November 26, the video which was directed and animated by Riley Donahue (Saturday Night Live) will premiere live at the San Diego Fan Expo. Fans will get their first look at Tommy Henriksen’s carefully crafted character: Crossbone Skully, and the character’s world, which inspired its own upcoming graphic novel, “Thing #1.” The first single from Crossbone Skully’s debut album “Evil World Machine” is now available to stream and download HERE.

Crossbone Skully is an avenging superhero, beginning his journey to rescue humanity on “Evil World Machine.” Legendary producer Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard), emerged from retirement to serve as executive producer on the album which was written by Tommy Henriksen and Tommy Denander, the song talks about the evil currency of the world.

Tommy Henriksen (Alice Cooper/Hollywood Vampires) serves as lead vocalist and bassist on the album, with additional voiceovers on “Thing #1” by Hollywood A-lister Johnny Depp (The Evil Sorcerer), and an impressive list of rock royalty including Alice Cooper (The Bringer of Light), Joe Perry (The Big Bad Bone Crusher), Nikki Sixx (The Crooked Crow), Kane Roberts (The Alpha Watchman), to name a few in the short, animated film. Rounding out the band’s line up are Tommy Denander (Alice Cooper), keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), drummer Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Cher, Aerosmith).

“This has been an amazing journey,” says Henriksen, who began the project with Denander almost four years ago. “If you had told me back then that I’d be working with the greatest producer who ever lived, I wouldn’t have believed it.”

Crossbone Skully will be engaging fans with more music from the album, which delivers a powerful message in today’s global climate, inviting people of all backgrounds to coexist and break down oppressive barriers. Additionally, Tommy Henriksen’s vision for Crossbone Skully will continue to unfold, culminating in the release of the band’s debut album in 2023.

ABOUT CROSSBONE SKULLY

Crossbone Skully is an avenging superhero from outer space, returning to earth to save the world and reconnect with his lost deity love Piper and Kid, the son he never knew he had.  Evil World Machine is a rock concept album that echoes similar dystopian visions such as Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and Diamond Dogs. The project, influenced by larger-than-life bands such as AC/DC, Alice Cooper, KISS, Iron Maiden and even the Sex Pistols, is the work of a collaborative team headed by veteran rock session bassist Tommy Henriksen and Tommy Denander alongside the legendary Mutt Lange, who emerged from retirement to executive produce the project.

With a long history that stretches back to stints in Warlock with Doro Pesch and his own punk-rock band POL (Parade of Losers) as Da Skunk, Henriksen has also had a successful side career as a producer/mixer/arranger and songwriter for the likes of Lady Gaga, Meat Loaf, Lou Reed, Halestorm, Kesha and Daughtry.  His metamorphosis into Crossbone Skully and the Alien Nation started when Alice Cooper’s lighting man, who used to work for AC/DC, heard him singing like Bon Scott and successor Brian Johnson during a sound check – and suggested he build a solo project around it.

The sterling group of supporting musicians includes guitarist Tommy Denander (who introduced him to Mutt Lange after collaborating on Alice Cooper’s 2017 album Paranormal with Bob Ezrin), keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, the Cult, Ozzy Osbourne) and drummer Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Cher, Aerosmith), who helped get him noticed by Allen Kovac’s Better Noise Music. Making spoken-word appearances are Johnny Depp as the voice of “The Evil Sorcerer,” along with Alice Cooper as “The Bringer of Light,” Joe Perry as “The Big Bad Bone Crusher” and Nikki Sixx as “The Crooked Crow,” with Kane Roberts as “The Alpha Watchman” among other guests. Henriksen developed the voice of Crossbone Skully with a vocal app that makes him sound like a disembodied Stephen Hawkins.  Iconic creative/art director Mark Wilkinson, who designed for Iron Maiden, Marillion, Judas Priest and The Darkness, created the Crossbone Skully album cover.

MARFA MOTEL Release Video for ‘How Much It Hurts’, Debut Album Out Now

WILD LIFE STRANGERS, the first album from Texas-raised, Germany-based Alternative Rock trio MARFA MOTEL is out now and streaming on all platforms.

After their catchy but subliminally unsettling first video single Feel It and the unapologetically cocky video for They Call Me The Devil, MARFA MOTEL celebrate their album release with another visually stunning performance video for their gut-wrenching track How Much It Hurts today:

MARFA MOTEL’s Taylor Chess comments: “This one is another short love story. Met this girl in Bali and we met up in Europe a few years later and had a hell of a night… We basically went through every stage of a relationship there is in a single day. The next morning I saw her go back to New York, leaving my crib with her suitcase waving goodbye to me. It kind of left a whole in my heart. I knew it was a one-nighter but still, I felt every single emotion 100% and that’s how How Much It Hurts came to life.”

To translate this story visually, the band worked with filmmaker Mirko Witzki at Witzki Visions. Chess remembers that “I wanted to combine a more popular kind of performance with a real back to the rock roots one to build a bridge between these two styles. I felt like I needed a huge room in this video to have the emptiness I felt in my heart and soul stand out when that woman an I waved goodbye. And even though the colors give off a cold vibe, the visuals are so alive because they’re full of truly-felt emotions.”

MARFA MOTEL’s wild guitar riffs, insanely tight rhythm sections, and raw human emotion offer “a lot of stuff to wrap your head and heart around,“ Taylor Chess comments.
For more than two decades, MARFA MOTEL’s Taylor Chess has been seasoning his brand of ravishing rock music with an eclectic mix of sonic and visual influences. Since their debut EP Inside Out in 2019, MARFA MOTEL have evolved from a rock band heavily influenced by skate punk into truly uncharted territory: With 2021’s stand-alone Give Me Fire, MARFA MOTEL established themselves as the contemporary incarnation of the Rock’n’Roll gods living on Mount Bling, with the ability to make you sweat profusely one second and stare deep into your soul the next. Their visceral songwriting is fueld by raw, uncensored lyrics, thick and warm rock’n’roll riffs, and energetic straight-forward drumming.

The band has released two EPs and one stand-alone single since their inception in 2019. WILD LIFE STRANGERS, including stand-alone singles Give Me Fire, Feel It, recent They Call Me The Devil and the most recent celebratory release of How Much It Hurts, was recorded by Markus Born, Dirk André and Jakob Morschewski at AZF studios, mixed by Tobias Schirmann, and mastered by Howie Weinberg in Los Angeles. The artwork was made by Kamil Wilde at Heart Taped Designs. Each of the singles’ electrifyingly vibrant videos was created by Mirko Witzki at Witzki Visions.

The band is also releasing a (at times hilarious) Track-By-Track series on their YouTube channel, going deep into the “matter“ each song is made of and inspired by.  MARFA MOTEL plan to release another music video for Down By The River in early January 2023 – so stay tuned.

Brucia Records is proud to present WOLOK‘s highly anticipated new album, “The Bilious Hues of Gloom”, on digipak CD and digital formats. The album will be released on December 8th 2022.

No Clean Singing is now hosting an exclusive premiere of the single “The Slough Of Despond”. Stream it at THIS LOCATION.

“The Bilious Hues of Gloom”
is the fourth album by masters of deranged, demented and disjointed Black Metal mindfuckery WOLOK.

Too Punk for Black Metal, too Doom for Punk, too Industrial for Doom: WOLOK are back to torment our ears with their uncanny and alien noise, taking their fear inducing and manic sound literally to the extreme.

Can you imagine the raw savagery of early Black Metal mixed with monolithic Death Doom, a pinch of Crust Punk and some spastic Plasma Pool type of EBM all placed inside a jar? WOLOK did, they made a molotov of it and they are now ready to throw it at us all and see the world burn.

Bipolarly shifting from majestic to decrepit and back for all of its duration, “The Bilious Hues of Gloom” is a completely psychotic album conjuring a dense sense of fear and hallucination.

Tracklist:

01 – The Slough Of Despond (7:58)
02 – Yellow Bile (6:59)
03 – Gospel Truth (7:35)
04 – Opalescent (5:55)
