HELVANDRARNA (The Hel-Walkers) is the second single from GRIMNER‘s upcoming album ‘Urfader‘, and it’s arguably the heaviest song on the entire tracklist. It’s a dark and riff-packed tune, reflecting the plot of the lyrics, which tells about the dead being denied entry to Valhall, Hel, or any other realm after death, and are forced to wander as corrupted, violent beings until the end of everything – Ragnarök.

Grimner is back, big time. This single release gives very promising feelings regarding their upcoming fourth album Urfader.

Grimner about the new single:
“This song turned out to be a unanimous favourite among the members of Grimner, much due to the fact that it’s a relentless track that pounds and hammers all throughout it’s entire duration. It really stands out on the record!” // Grimner

HELVANDRARNA tells a tale of dead warriors and common folk as they have been denied entry to either Valhall, Hel, or any other realm that ties to the afterlife. Not able to move on from the physical world, they wander the earth in rage, cutting down friend and foe alike, with no remorse. This dark story is told to the sound of relentless drums and heavy riffs that fits very well with the plot of the lyrics.” // Grimner

Grimner returns with fire and power. Their roots and influences of Swedish death metal and their love of heavy and power metal is weaved together with enchanting folk melodies and pagan choirs to create their own unique sound once again – all sung in their native Swedish, as always.

‘Helvandrarna’, the crisp and fresh new sound of this album really makes you hear what Grimner all is about. Thrashing guitar riffs, the mix of powerful clean and harsh vocals, pounding drums, all mixed with beautiful and distinct flutes and other folk instruments make for an atmosphere that fits the tales of the old Norse gods and folklore alike. The single will be released September 23rd. Pre-save via optional platform: https://ingrv.es/helvandrarna-qzo-5

More about Grimner:
Grimner, founded in 2008, shows that the past with few years of silence and pandemics hasn’t been for nothing – silence means working. In the wake of a plague, Grimner emerge battle-scarred to release new tunes and tales to the world, inspired as always by ancient nordic myths and history. At the same time, this album certainly brings something special to the genre.

It all started in the Swedish town Motala by lead guitarist and vocalist Ted together with the drummer Henry. The first demo “A Call For Battle” (2010) was sung explicitly in English but was soon to be replaced by their native tongue Swedish. As time progressed and new records being released (EP “Färd” (2012), acoustic EP “De Kom Från Norr” (2015), full-length album “Blodshymner” (2014), Grimner has steadily made a name for themselves. One example is being tour support for the legendary Korpiklaani during their shows in Sweden in 2015.

In 2016 Grimner released their praised album “Frost Mot Eld” (Despotz Records), an album that brought a totally new sound to the music community. The album received outstanding reviews world-wide, with songs that to this date have reached millions of streams. With the album and their fantastic overall concept, Grimner has been invited to perform at festival stages around Europe. In 2018 the band celebrated their 10th anniversary and releases a new full-length album ”Vanadrottning” (Despotz Records) on February 9th.

The album was recorded and mixed by Jakob Hermann at Top Floor Studios.
Mastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios.

Grimner is:
Ted Sjulmark – Vocals, guitars
Martin Boe – Vocals, guitars
David Fransson – Bass, backing vocals
Johan Rydberg – Flutes, mandola
Kristoffer Kullberg – Keyboards
Henry Persson – Drums

THE NEW ROSES Release New Song + Video ‘1st Time For Everything’

There’s a “1st Time For Everything”! German rockers THE NEW ROSES have released a second single from their upcoming fifth studio album, Sweet Poison, out October 21, 2022 via Napalm Records. The band delivers with “1st Time For Everything” – a smooth sing-along hymn with catchy hooks that would make the likes of Bon Jovi proud!

After their previous record, Nothing But Wild, hit the Top 10 on the German album charts, the quartet went on to share stages with rock legends like the Scorpions, Saxon and Accept. This summer, they even had the chance to tour with genre giants KISS and were the first German band invited on the KISS Kruise! Sweet Poison bottles this potent energy on record, convincing with authentic hard rock and enormous hit density. THE NEW ROSES are on the way to the top of rock!

THE NEW ROSES on the new song:
“’1st Time For Everything’ isn’t just a love song about two people. It’s a love song to Rock’n’Roll and to all the people that love this music. And we can’t wait to see you all and sing it together.“

Their latest effort, Sweet Poison, opens with the guitar-driven anthem “My Kinda Crazy,” which kicks off the album in a worthy manner. In addition to rousing anthems, Sweet Poison features authentically rocking Americana tracks like “Playing With Fire” and “Sweet Gloria.”“Warpaint” is undoubtedly a massive track in which the band unleashes its intangible energy with hard guitar riffs and powerful drums, while “The Usual Suspects” and “1st Time For Everything” impress with their catchy choruses. Tracks like “Dead Of Night” build on a distinct melody and develop into strong stadium rock anthems. With songs like “All I Ever Needed”, THE NEW ROSES also show their softer side. The strong mid-tempo rock ballad revives the atmosphere of Guns N’ Roses’ moving ballads, while front man Timmy Rough passionately presents the full range of his voice, which can also be heard impressively on the touching acoustic track “True Love“.

Sweet Poison is an outstanding rock album with an impressive hit density, seeing the band outdo themselves again and again, reviving true 80s rock. Hold on tight, because THE NEW ROSES shift up a gear and take you on a journey to the horizon of American rock grandeur!

Timmy Rough on the new album:
“When we recorded Sweet Poison, we took all the bad vibes, all our struggle and disappointments of the last two years and turned them into this incredibly positive, high energy Rock n’ Roll album. We don’t bitch at all, we wanna move forward and take our audience along with us. We stayed on our musical path, in fact I’d say we even went back closer to our roots and added some more of our Blues and Southern spirit while still keeping the catchy melodies of our last records. But hey, talk is cheap, so turn it up and have some fun!“

Only a few weeks after their European tour as support for the legendary Iron Maiden, LORD OF THE LOST are about to hit European stages again – this time on a full headline tour through nine countries, supported by label mates Nachtblut and Scarlet Dorn.

Today the band has released the final official video taken from their most successful studio album to date, JUDAS (2021, #2 Official German Album Charts). The video for “A World Where We Belong” revisits the aesthetics from the very first video of the JUDAS cycle, “The Death Of All Colors”, and therewith perfectly closes this shining era of LORD OF THE LOST.

LORD OF THE LOST state:
“With ‘A World Where We Belong’, we visually close the JUDAS era as it began with ‘A Death Of All Colours’. The dreariness of these videos involuntarily reflects the feeling in which JUDAS was released. It was pandemic times without concerts – everything looked gray and hopeless – quite in contrast to the outstanding success of this album! We would like to end this feeling with this last video and jump into our HOMECOMING TOUR with joy and passion! We are coming home, home to you on tour! And we are looking forward to it irrepressibly!”

Italian EVEN FLOW Release New Single + Lyric Video ‘Revelation Day’ from Upcoming EP “Mediterraneo”

From the Italian island of Sardinia, proggers EVEN FLOW are unveiling their next single “Revelation Day” with a new lyric video. The track is off their forthcoming EP “Mediterraneo” due out on October 3rd, 2022. The track has a Catholic inspiration and is a song to be discovered musically in its entirety. Listen as the melodic parts are intertwined with their more progressive songwriting.

EVEN FLOW‘s new recording “Mediterraneo” follows their three EPs “Dream Weaver” (2008), “Mother” (2019), and “Flower Paths” (2013), and two albums “Life Has Just Begun” (2017) and “Ancient Memories (2011).

“Mediterreano” sees the band approaching the record with progressive metal in the rhythm with vocal lines oriented towards power metal with AOR eighties influences. Lyrically, the EP speaks of love, hope, sadness, and joy for the future. Guitarist Pietro Paolo Lunesu explains the record in further detail:

“The five songs that make up Mediterraneo are gloriously uplifting anthems that draw you from your world of cares and worries into an exhilarating musical realm of dreams. The songs are concise and finely honed, yet seem to contain an ever-expanding universe to explore within their duration. For example, the title track, ‘Mediterraneo’, is perhaps the EPs crowning glory, building through multiple layers, each more captivating than the last, but in truth every note from the first bombastic chords that usher in opener ‘Ocean Lies’ to the final spiraling guitar solo of ‘Mediterraneo’ is sheer melodic, progressive metal perfection.”

The EP was immaculately mixed and mastered by Michele Guaitoli (Visions Of Atlantis, Temperance) with spectacular artwork by Mickael Briot of Mythrid Art (Nightmare).

“Mediterraneo” also features Even Flow‘s new lineup with vocalist Marco Pastorino (Fallen Sanctuary, Temperance) and bassist Luca Negro (Temperance) joining the Lunesu brothers Pietro Paolo (guitar) and Giorgio (drums).

Over the years, since making their debut in 2008 with their EP “Dream Weaver”, Even Flow has done multiple tours across Europe and has supported bands such as Serious Black, Firewind, Eluveitie, Iron Savior, Katatonia, Orphaned Land, Katatonia, Pain Of Salvation among many more.

“Mediterraneo” is the next majestic level of achievement for Even Flow and is recommended for fans of Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Stratovarius, Angra, and Queensryche.

Today, CROBOT and Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group have released the official music video for “Golden,” watch it below.  Singer Brandon Yeagley shares, “’Golden’ is a soaring homage to a God-gone-too soon. When it came to the lyrics, we collectively wanted it to be a tribute to Chris Cornell.  We are so influenced by everything he and Soundgarden have done. We ran with the song in honor of his legacy.”  The new single from FEEL THIS follows the Top 25 hit “Set You Free”.

With tens of millions of streams, countless shows, and acclaim from the likes of SiriusXM Octane, Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, Kerrang, BBC Radio, Loudwire, Guitar World and many more, Brandon Yeagley [vocals], Chris Bishop [guitar], Tim Peugh [bass], and Dan Ryan [drums] realize their vision like never before on their fifth full-length studio album.  The release follows 2019s Top 10 Heatseekers album MOTHERBRAIN, whose cumulative streams have surpassed 30 million. Twenty-one million of which were for the goliath single “Low Life,” a Top 10 single at Active Rock radio, with a 29-week run on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

They made waves with Legend of the Spaceborne Killer [2012], Something Supernatural [2014], and Welcome To Fat City [2016]. However, Motherbrain [2019] represented a high watermark. They’ve crisscrossed the U.S., and The World, in road-warrior style, playing with the likes of Anthrax, Black Label Society, Seether, Chevelle, Clutch, Volbeat, Halestorm and more. They’ve lit up festival bills and the annual Shiprocked! Cruise, Rocklahoma, Welcome To Rockville, WMMRBQ, Aftershock, and the Jericho Cruise alongside others.  “We tour the pockets off of our pants and sleep in our van for half of the year. To some, that may seem like misery, but to us – it’s Heaven baby!” the frontman says.

Earlier this year, the band toured with Danzig and headlined a Mascot Records triple bill that also featured Shaman’s Harvest and Any Given Sin.  Currently, Crobot is on an extensive North American tour with GWAR, and will remain on the road throughout the remainder of 2022.

Track list

  1. Electrified
  2. Dizzy
  3. Set You Free
  4. Better Times

  7. Livin’ on the Streets

FOTOCRIME Announce “South Of Heaven / Heart Of Crime” European Tour

Founded by Louisville, Kentucky based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Ryan Patterson, August 2021 saw the release of “Heart of Crime” (Profound Lore), the third studio album by FOTOCRIME. Featuring eleven tracks of moody and electrifying post-punk with a healthy dose of industrial and EBM thrown in for good measure, Fotocrime‘s latest release is not only an album that throbs with pulsing synths, hammering drum machines, and economic guitar hooks, but also a release that may be Fotocrime‘s most personal offering to date.

Having already toured extensively across the States in support of the new album, Fotocrime have now announced their first European tour in over three years, presenting the band’s last two albums “South of Heaven” and “Heart of Crime”. All dates can be found below.

Ryan Patterson comments:

We are overjoyed to finally be returning to Europe after over three long years away. When our 2019 tour of Europe with Crippled Black Phoenix and Soft Kill wrapped up with a triumphant show at Roadburn Festival, we expected to return the following year in support of South Of Heaven, our first album on Profound Lore. Of course, the world took a turn none of us expected and many unforeseen challenges and roadblocks lay ahead. We canceled our summer 2020 European tour and eventually recorded and released our next album, Heart Of Crime, in 2021.

Now, finally, we are returning to Europe for an extensive mainland tour and cannot wait to see places and faces we’ve missed so much. Our set list will cull primarily from Heart Of Crime and South Of Heaven, with a handful of favorites from our first album and earliest singles. We will be supported by our friends in the excellent French post-punk band BLEAKNESS for half of the dates and will be playing with many other friends and great bands along the way. European audiences embraced Fotocrime from the start and our times touring there have been the highlights of the band’s journey so far, I can’t overstate how much we are looking forward to this tour.

Tickets are on sale now and the dates are as follows:
