Finnish neoclassical symphonic melodic death metal band CLAMORIS is set to release their debut album Opus Limbonica on October 28th 2022 via Inverse Records. The third and final single “The Bite of the Cosmic Snake” is now available.

Listen to the single on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/clamoris-the-bite-of-the-cosmic-snake

Composer & lyricist Sami Selkäinaho comments:
“The third and final single of Opus Limbonica, “The Bite of the Cosmic Snake”, is the primary single of the album.

It’s got a tight structure and a catchy chorus. It’s a somewhat “rocky” song with tight solos and is likely the most accessible song of the album. It focuses by and large to heavy and catchy riffs over melody, and has a very dark atmosphere to it. The neoclassical element of our approach still pops up here and there, especially in the keyboard solo.”

Clamoris – Opus Limbonica (2022)

1) Regurgitated
2) The Bite of The Cosmic Snake
3) Schemer’s Paradox
4) A Window to My Dreams
5) Rage, Rain Down on Them

Album cover by Roberto Toderico.

Founded in 2017, Clamoris set out to bring to life their vision of neoclassically inspired extreme metal.

Originally planned as a two-man studio project formed by keyboardist/composer Sami Selkäinaho and vocalist/bassist Niko Peräkorpi, but feeling that due to the demanding nature of the songs a full band effort would be highly beneficial. They introduced drummer Tom Israels and guitarists Joonas Kinnari & Samuli Kaakinen to the music who, upon hearing the material, agreed to join the band.

After working out the songs for the album, rehearsing them for a while and demoing one of them on the latter half of 2018 the band felt they were ready to start working on recording the debut album, named “Opus Limbonica”, which was finalized and ready for release in 2022.

Line-up:

Sami Selkäinaho: Keyboards
Niko Peräkorpi: Vocals & Bass
Samuli Kaakinen: Guitars & Backing vocals
Joonas Kinnari: Guitars

Defiant six-piece nu-metal rockers SEETHING AKIRA pressing ever onward to their album Nozomi churn out a turbo-charged nu-metal single “Metaphors.”

The aggressive track pulses with a fusion of synthesizers, brutally heavy rhythms, thrashing guitars, and their signature explosive rap/rock vocal performances. Encapsulated by provocative lyrics “Metaphors” is about a single moment in time where you decide whether taking the chance is worth the risk. The single is hardcore chaos wrapped into a gift box, signed, sealed, and delivered with their usual bombastic style, and well, “Let’s take the risk.”

“Metaphors is the description of a single moment of hope seen in another individual or activity,” states Seething Akira. “And deciding in that single moment that it is worth the risk to pursue this single moment of hope for the potential of much greater moments that may follow, even if this may not come to fruition.”

“Metaphors” is out now from independent multi-genre music label FiXT.

Explosive. Bombastic. Defiant. Intense. Seething Akira continues to rock on with their gloriously turbulent nu-metal sound towards their next album, Nozomi. Hot off the editorial success of their last album Dysfunctional Wonderland and with recent appearances at the Heavy Music Awards 2022, TECH-FEST, the Hammerdown Festival, UK TechFest, Amplified Festival 2022, the Free Road to Derby event, an appearance at Apocalypse Summer Bash at Bristol, headlining at Southampton, and a recently featured single on the hit Meta Quest VR game Smash Drums with “The Fallen”. With the announcement that they are joining Confession Of A Traitor on selected dates for their UK tour, Seething Akira is not slowing down any time soon.

Seething Akira have developed a gloriously turbulent sound that is uniquely their own. Founded by vocalists Charlie Bowes and Kit Conrad, Seething Akira are a 6-piece electronic nu-core band hailing from the seafront city of Portsmouth, UK that have been tearing venues apart across Europe with their powerful fusion of genres since 2012.

The band’s first full-length album, Sleepy Skeletor, dropped in 2018 and made it clear that Seething Akira would be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come. In late 2020, the band launched a series of new singles leading up to their second album, the highly anticipated Dysfunctional Wonderland. With the strength of the band’s music and their popularity with fans rocketing skyward, they connected with the electronic rock label FiXT and forged a partnership for their future releases.

Seething Akira has been featured on the Rock Hard Spotify editorial list, while their single “Firepower” landed on Kerrang Radio and Scuzz. “I Am The Devil” and “The Islander”  were both featured on BBC Introducing, and “The Islander” premiered on Soundsphere Magazine.

”As we got this opportunity to play at Swedens most beloved rock/metal festival we wanted to eternalize this epic moment and record our live performance. The best audience from all around the world was about to see us play our greatest songs live, we are so happy about the support we got when we entered the stage and through out the whole show.“  Says guitarist Edwin Premberg. ”It was really a pleasure to be on stage this warm summer night. We have now chosen 4 songs that will be available on an EP ”Live at Sweden Rock Festival 2022” and we really hope that you´ll like it as much as we do. As the pandemic hit us we havent been able to get out and play as much as we had planned and all of our work of planning and booking shows went down the drain. Now, we hope that we finally can show the world some live songs and that it will lead us to more delighted festivals all over the world. We really hope to see you there!”

Fresh off the release of their latest album ‘Voodoo Nation,’ which AllMusic.com called the band’s “finest outing to date,” SUPERSONIC BLUES MACHINE have released a lyric video for ‘Is It All’ feat. Joe Louis Walker. The song is taken from the band’s ‘Voodoo Nation’ album, OUT NOW via Provogue / Mascot Label Group.

The album once again featured another coming together of icons and some of the most exciting names in blues; Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke), Eric Gales, Joe Louis Walker, Ana Popovic, Kirk Fletcher, King Solomon Hicks, Josh Smith & Sonny Landreth.

The sumptuous 70s soul of “Is It All” sees Kris Barras and Walker trade vocals with a poignant message. When talking about the song, Fabrizio Grossi says, “‘ Is it all?’ is the question that everyone will end up asking themselves at some point in life. In tune with the overall opinionated theme of Voodoo Nation: we are living in really fucked-up times. We are living in what it’s possibly the technological peak of our generation (X, Z and millennials). Yet, the extreme superficiality and materialistic quests of these last few years leave us wondering: Is it really all? Is this frenzy and overstimulated (yes, desensitized) race to get to the end of the day, all that life has to offer or is there something else? And if so, where do we look?”

He continues, “The answer is very simple and very “Buddhist”: within oneself! That’s where we’ll find out who we are, what we’re looking for and what really makes us happy. I had an endless conversation with Joe Louis Walker about “what the hell is up with us humans, and very specifically with us humans here on this side of the world”, and I am happy he got to be the one singing about it with us. He keeps it real and puts you in the position of doing the same, and that’s why he is so special to all of us”.

“The general discontent in the world at the moment is so widespread, we get told to embrace it because that’s life,” says Fabrizio Grossi. “No, that’s not life,” he asserts. “It’s how we’re forced to live nowadays. Voodoo Nation refers to the times we’re living in, at least here in the States, but I guess the whole world can relate. We’re getting to the point where we’re living out life almost as Zombies. We’re little machines.”

At the core of the band are producer/bass player Fabrizio Grossi (Steve Vai, Alice Cooper, George Clinton, Slash) and drummer Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, Meat Loaf, Brandon Flowers, John Fogerty, Red Hot Chili Peppers) withBritish rocker Kris Barras replacing Lance Lopez as singer-guitarist. Barras’s recent UK Top 30 album chart hit in March, leading the pack of the British hard rock revival with several A-list singles, BBC Radio appearances and sell-out shows.

Their third studio album was met with rave reviews when the album was released. Classic Rock said it was “Setting the blues bar ever higher with studio album number three…Voodoo Nation is the sound of modern blues in the ascendant,” Fireworks claimed the album has “Taken the band to the next level,” with Powerplay hailing it as “A contender for blues album of the year.”

More praise came from Record Collector, calling it a “Classy third album from the blues-expanding trio,” with Blues in Britain describing it as “Atmospheric, distinctive and decidedly involving,” and Blues Matters heaped praise, saying it was “The most complete album yet by the band.”

The lyrical front on Voodoo Nation is less forgiving than everything in the past. “I’m not saying fuck flower power because that’s always the message,” Grossi says. “But there are very introspective things and a lot of the theatrics that we are dealing with on this record which I would say are fairly common in the blues but are dealt with a twist. There is a lot of Devil’s stuff in this record.”

But there is always hope, which is what Supersonic Blues Machine has always been about.

CRANEIUM Launch Single + Music Video ‘Victim of Delusion’

Heavy fuzzrock outfit CRANEIUM shares the stand alone single “Victim of Delusion”. The single is the first release from the Finnish four piece since their third studio album “Unknown Heights” from 2021, and is released together with a music video on The Sign Records.

Listen to the single via your favorite streaming platform or watch the video here:

Joel from Craneium comments:

Our new single Victim Of Delusion is a straightforward rocker in true retro style. It’s fuzzy and it’s bluesy. Dare we even say it’s a bit proto metalesque? Lyrically the song talks about how nothing good comes out of trying to control people. Instead it’s easy to end up a delusional lonely person.

To accompany the song we wanted to make a video that tips the hat to retro psychedelic filmmaking. We teamed up with music video maker Joni Tuominen who had an idea on a video with acid fried aesthetics. It turned out great and we had a blast doing it.

Craneium’s latest studio album “Unknown Heights” was released during the autumn of 2021. The album is available on white/blue splatter vinyl, black vinyl, CD, and all streaming platforms. You can get the record HERE
