Danish sludge metal act GRAVA is pleased to announce their upcoming new album “Weight of a God”, due out November 28th 2022 via Aesthetic Death.
Songs seen through the eyes of the dying.
GRAVA spew forth a maelstrom of angst-ridden, emotive sludge – which emanates from a hardcore foundation and mentality.
Sludge heaviness, hardcore intensity – bleak desperation. Short tracks, that just sound dense, blackened and ugly – which are written and delivered with a real soul – just one that has been emptied of colour and hope. Amidst the blunt brutality there are brief interjections, moments of paradoxical beauty. Soon extinguished.
Every song on the album is an attempt to portray a human being’s meeting with death. Inspired by historical narratives but also by happenings closer to the band, actively pursuing those moments through their music and lyrics. The resulting music has been expressive, fragmented and painful – you will find no complete narrative in the lyrics or musical structure, only the bits and pieces of the world…. as seen through the eyes of the dying.
“Weight of a God” is not an easy experience. It takes time to ingest and come to terms with the album. However, anyone who takes the time to become at one with these tracks will discover an album which urges repeated listening.

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark – GRAVA only formed in 2020 but feature ex-members of Whelm amongst their skilled personnel.
Legendary DEMON are the third band to be announced for the brand new 21 hour cruise between Stockholm and Mariehamn on the mighty ship Viking Cinderella. The band will also perform a very special set by playing the entire album “The Plague”, celebrating that it is 40 years since it was released back in 1983. Don’t miss this unique show. They will of course also play some of their most famous songs as well.
Also confirmed are two bands with a Thin Lizzy connection. Classic AOR kings Dare with Lizzy keyboard player Darren Wharton and Grand Slam, Phil Lynott’s band after Thin Lizzy broke up, resurrected with guitar player Laurence Archer. The band released their debut album “Hit the Ground” in 2019 with many of the songs written back in the eighties.
Our plan with Rocknytt Cruise is to run this as a yearly event aiming to deliver a line-up based on melodic hard rock and AOR. Signing sessions etc to create a closeness between the artists and the audience. A 21 hour party with good music, great food and cold drinks in company with fellow rockers. A party with the music in pole position!
GRAND MASSIVE are back and present the official video for their new single “Blind Silence”!
At the beginning of March 22, Grand Massive met for a 2-day live session in a live club closed due to the lockdown to test out new material. This resulted in the song “Blind Silence”, most of which was recorded during the two days, and which describes a dystopian vision of the future due to the new situation at the time (start of war, nuclear threat, pandemic)…hello black days!

Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven was produced by Jarrett Pritchard (Exhumed, 1349), who handled the band’s Vengeful Ascension full-length, and tracked primarily at Studio In The Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana under pandemic restrictions. Additionally, the band recruited acclaimed producer Kurt Ballou (Converge, High On Fire, Gatecreeper, Code Orange) to mix the record with final mastering duties handled by Grammy-award winning engineer Ted Jensen (Ghost, Gojira, Cult Of Luna). The record is tied together by the art of longtime collaborator Jordan Barlow whose cryptic use of sigils holds deeper meaning to the record’s whole.
UK’s Modern hard rockers ONE LAST DAY will release their new single, “Out Of The Black” on October 28th alongside a music video. To shorten the wait, today the band unveils the official teaser and the concept of the single. “Out Of The Black” is mixed and mastered by Meyrick de la Fuente at Floodgate Audio. Video is recorded, directed and edited by Dion Douglas.
Alex, the vocalist, tells about the song and its story: “Out of the black is a dark tale of abuse at the hands of the most unexpected perpetrators, your partners and loved ones. Although its written lyrically man abusing woman, we know it happens in all kinds of settings, including women abusing men or just humans abusing humans. I wrote this song lyrically a few years ago and I took the inspiration from 2 situations including one of a friend and all I wanted to do was save them, and a previous relationship of my own where I had a scenario where I was being attacked when my partner would drink a bottle of wine and wake up like nothing happened. Fast forward to 2022, myself and the guys have now turned the song into it’s final form and I hope it’s enjoyed by all music listeners out there.”
Earlier the band shared on artwork: “The artwork cover is a film still featuring our dear friend Yasmin Raggett who is the star of our video and really captures the essence of the story.”

Launching in early 2021, ONE LAST DAY are a modern hard rock act coming out of the South-East of England. A heavy and emotive band, their musicality is left wide open to a myriad of rock styles all wrapped up into their own distinctive sound. The band are a powerhouse live act, performing near sellout shows, growing a loyal legion of followers at each gig and getting invited to play increasingly larger shows across the UK.
ONE LAST DAY deliver heavy yet accessible music, combining an eclectic symphony of influences from Hard Rock to Grunge and Metal. This was demonstrated in their debut EP ‘CHAPTER 1: THE END IS THE BEGINNING’ which featured seven gargantuan tracks, including the successful single ‘THIS BOTTLE GOT ME’. From prog stylings to rock ballads, the EP is sure to sate the appetite of those wanting to hear more from this fresh and exciting band.
