Juggernauts of melodic death metal BRYMIR are striking back with their long awaited, powerful studio album, Voices In The Sky, out this Friday via Napalm Records! Looking back at three internationally praised albums, the band is back for more, stirring up the scene once again.
Accompanying this explosive new album, BRYMIR unleashes their third single and official music video, “Fly With Me”. The band proves their remarkable ability to combine immense, clear, earworm choruses with furious growls and heavy breakdowns. Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, this is with no doubt the next band to keep on the radar in modern melodic death metal. Styled in the vein of Ensiferum, Wintersun and Children Of Bodom, they serve a more modernized answer to the melodic death metal equation.
BRYMIR on “Fly With Me”: “Social media is a wild place – it can a powerful platform for expression but at the same time it is a cesspit of disinformation, hate and bullying. A place where identities are forged and destroyed. This song is about the dangers of getting lost in the digital maze – be careful out there!”
Voices In The Sky marks a hefty next level creation serving a more modernized answer to melodic death metal with an unstoppable sound, massive production, deep grooves and air-tight technicality. Nevertheless, BRYMIR continues to draw inspiration from traditional genres like folk and classical music, crafting their own blend of epic melody, haunting melancholy and relentless velocity – all brought together perfectly at the hands of the band and producer mastermind and singer Viktor Storm Gullichsen at JKB Studios, with mastering helmed by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios.
After the album opening title track, BRYMIR ‘s outrageous outburst continues with full speed on “Forged in War”, featuring additional vocals of live session guitarist Antti Nieminen, who also contributes to folk metal-reinforced “Far From Home”. “Seeds of Downfall”, the record’s most aggressive and gloomy track, doesn’t lack once in the majestic arrangement arena – merging with heroic choirs and, together with “Landfall”, represents the technical brilliance of the unit at its best. Tracks like “Herald of Aegir” – a mythology-adorned stance against pollution of our oceans – and “Rift Between Us” approach the more power metal-inflamed facet of the Finnish juggernauts while still rooted in the melodic death metal segment.
The excursion continues with heartfelt “Borderland”, featuring intense lyricism underlined by the poem “My Testament” by renowned Ukrainian poet Taras Schevchenko. Voices In The Sky closes with both the nearly eight-minute epic “All as One” and a raging bonus cover of Dark Funeral’s “Diabolis Interium” that hits as grimly as the original.
On this 11-track piece, BRYMIR combines the best of their defining elements to a greater good, showcasing that they are at the very top of their game and ready to enter the next level on their promising journey!

The much-talked about TRIUMPHfeature documentary, Rock & Roll Machine is now available worldwide ex Canada for purchase and rental via iTunes, Google play, Amazon Prime.
Directed by Banger Films’ Sam Dunn and Marc Ricciardelli, ‘Triumph: Rock & Roll Machine’ delivers on revisiting a band that sold millions of albums, played for millions of fans, and never put themselves above their audience.
“Triumph lays it all on the line in this endlessly fascinating documentary, in turn cementing their legacy as a tireless Canadian rock trio whose galvanizing magic power — as evidenced on both the live stage and within the grooves of their many brilliant albums — could simply not be contained. Triumph’s ongoing, lasting musical impact resides well beyond their native border.” –Mike Mettler, Sound & Vision Magazine
“The Triumph story was compelling to me, Marc, and the Banger team because it was an opportunity to piece together a broken puzzle,” says Dunn. “We wanted to know how and why the band dissolved at the peak of their powers. It was quite the ride!”
“Sam and Marc did an outstanding job documenting what it has been like to have been aboard the Triumph train for the past near-50 years,” raves Triumph bassist Mike Levine. “For fans old, new, and those to come in the future, this is all they’ll need to know about the band.”
The Triumph line-up – Rik Emmett, Gil Moore, and Mike Levine – rocked the world, and in the process, gave us countless classic hard rock anthems (“Fight the Good Fight,” “Hold On,” “Magic Power,” “I Live for the Weekend,” “Lay It On the Line,” and of course, “Rock & Roll Machine,” and albums (Just a Game, Progressions of Power, Allied Forces,Never Surrender, Thunder Seven, etc.).
Originally formed in 1975 and hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, the trio was always proud of their Great White North roots. And seemingly ever since their inception, Triumph was on the cutting edge of technology when it came to their live show – particularly lighting, sound, and effects.
Sophisticated lasers, pyrotechnics and moving lighting rigs, all computer-controlled – Triumph was one of the first arena rock bands to incorporate all of these elements into their shows. Triumph’s headlining tours were legendary, and the band was featured on many memorable stadium/outdoor shows – including the US Festival, the World Series of Rock, the American Rock Festival and Texxas Jam, Day on the Green, to name but a few.
“One of the best music documentaries I’ve ever seen, ‘Rock & Roll Machine’ is a superbly crafted documentary – an in-depth look at a band that makes me proud to be Canadian…a true TRIUMPH of a story!” — Jason Rockman, iHeart Radio / CHOM FM.
The film is produced by Banger Films in association with Revolver Films, Bell Media’s Crave, Live Nation Productions and NBC Universal Canada, along with the participation of the Rogers Documentary Fund and Slaight Communications Inc.
Norwegian KAMPFAR have released a picture video ‘Flammen fra Nord’, taken from their upcoming album “Til Klovers Takt”.
“A horse in the distance, rider atop in lavishly coloured garb, enters the valley. He calls himself a shepherd, a collector for the ones above.
Singing to himself in a foreign tongue, the calm melody betrays the fire beneath his words. He is here to save and to be saved; he is the word, and the word is him.”
Flammen fra Nord tells this story through two voices, a story depicting the alchemic reaction that arises when the one true flame tries to replace nature’s ancient fire.
All music written and recorded by Kampfar. Additional vocal recordings by Stamos Koliousis Mix and master by Jonas Kjellgren Artwork: «Village fire at night» by Heinrich Bürkel Video by Carl Eek
