It has been like a colorful sunrise after a long night. We are now ready for our next step on our continent: The Europe Tour. We would like to give thanks to everyone working hard behind the curtains for the past two/three years to make this happen. It has not been easy sorting out as the world has changed. On this tour we are bringing you our newest studio album “Drif”. “Drif” means “gathering”, just like we will gather again to heal, bond, and create, and be greater together.

ORTHODOX Release New Song + Visualizer ‘Feel It Linger’, New Album Out Now

Nashville metal band ORTHODOX have just relased their new full-length album, Learning To Dissolve.

“’Learning To Dissolve’ is the strongest this band has ever been portrayed. The new level we’ve stepped to is prominently represented in every song, and the bar is only getting higher from here,” states ORTHODOX frontman Adam Easterling.

To celebrate the release of their new LP, Learning To Dissolve, ORTHODOX have just released the visualizer video for “Feel It Linger” today. “Feel It Linger” follows the band’s previously released music videos for “Dissolve”, “Cave In” and “Head On A Spike”. Check out the new track HERE.

The sound of ORTHODOX is the opposite of what most associate with the laid-back energy and country-fied twang of their native Nashville, Tennessee. ORTHODOX’s distinct, nu-metal-tinged brand of metallic hardcore has carved its own lane with their Century Media debut, Learning to Dissolve. Learning To Dissolve is the punctuation on a journey that began with 2017’s Sounds of Loss. From the inception, ORTHODOX were nothing short of a standout, blending together riffs that wouldn’t be out of place on a Slipknot record coupled with Easterling’s blunt, Jonathan Davis-esque howls. But, like their sonic brethren in Knocked Loose or Vein.FM, while the influence of the 90’s/00’s is there, ORTHODOX doesn’t merely pay homage to their influences, it exceeds them.

Written during the global pandemic and world shutdown of 2020, Learning to Dissolve was born of frustration. That is, until Easterling and guitarist Austin Evans began to really dig in. Recording in the dead heat of Summer with producer and mixer Randy Lebooeuf (Thy Art Is Murder, Kublai Khan) at Graphic Nature Audio in Belleville, New Jersey, found the band in creative overdrive, ripping their songs apart.

While 2019’s Let It Take Its Course, which Revolver called, “A straight-up bone-chilling metal album that sounds like the music [ORTHODOX vocalist] Adam Easterling has always wanted to make, but is presented with the authenticity that his music has always had”, focused on the duality of love and anger Learning to Dissolve is born of intense self-reflection. It digs deeper than most metal or hardcore records. Not surprisingly, that ethos has echoed throughout ORTHODOX’s existence as a band, whose members past and present come from backgrounds rooted in straight-edge hardcore.

Century Media Records welcome DISTANT to its roster family, the multinational juggernaut that emerged from Rotterdam, The Netherlands as well as from Bratislava, Slovakia.

DISTANT comment: “We are beyond excited for signing with one of the greatest metal record labels on earth, Century Media Records. With their perfect foundation for the next sagas of our lore, you can expect a lot more dark and evil albums coming from our camp!”

Dive headfirst into darkness and enjoy “Exofilth” HERE

Stream at https://distantband.lnk.to/ExofilthNE

Since their initiation in 2014 and the release of their inaugural EP, “Tsukuyomi”, DISTANT unleashed two studio albums, “Tyrannotophia” (2019) and “Aeons of Oblivion” (2021), as well as two EPs, “Dawn of Corruption” (2020) and “Dusk of Anguish” (2021). However, DISTANT have been breaking through the confines of deathcore and created no less than their own multidisciplinary universe by adding the fictional novel “The Rise of Tyrannotophia” into the mix that is accompanying “Aeons of Oblivion”.

THE UGLY KINGS Premiere New Video for ‘Do You Feel Like You’re Paranoid?’

One year after the release of critically acclaimed studio album Strange, Strange Times, Melbourne’s alternative rockers THE UGLY KINGS are heading off for the second leg of their Australian “Do You Feel Like You’re Paranoid?” tour with 9 shows in September, October and November.

Right in time before the tour, the four-piece, known for their foreboding alt-rock with blackened blues and gritty punk edge, releases a brand new official music video. “Do You Feel Like You’re Paranoid?” raises the question of developments in opinion formation in the present time, when the Internet – once the hope of freedom of speech – is often used for conspiracy theories or simple propaganda. The topic is underlined by a strong official music video!

THE UGLY KINGS on “Do You Feel Like You’re Paranoid?”:
“We’re super excited to release this brand new video for “Do You Feel Like You’re Paranoid?”, from our record Strange, Strange Times, as we are about to embark on the second leg of our Australian tour this September.

It’s been fantastic to be able to tour the album this year in Australia and what better way to celebrate than to release a new video.”

The recent studio album “Strange, Strange Times is about anxiety,” the band comments. “The world seems to be getting weirder and weirder every year and we are becoming more and more in touch with everything that is happening on earth as it happens. It’s impossible to process and impossible to make sense of. Strange, Strange Times is the low hum that we all carry around with us every day, the itch on our back that we can’t scratch, it’s the first cut in a thousand cuts. Take a deep breath, close your eyes and count to ten.”

EVERMORE Release First Single + Lyric Video ‘Court of the Tyrant King’

Swedish power metal paladins EVERMORE have released a lyric-video for ‘Court of the Tyrant King’ – first single taken from the re-release of the eponymous 2021 debut album, set to be released on September 23rd via Scarlet Records.

Buy/Stream/Listen: https://orcd.co/evermorecottk

The Evermore debut album came out of the blue in 2021 and immediately left an impressive mark on the worldwide heavy metal scene, thanks to an inspired songwriting and a powerful yet classy performance.

The band favors a bit of a heavier tone compared to many other, more purely power metal-oriented bands, but they have always rooted themselves in strong melodies and catchy riffs.

A lot of Evermore’s sound, lyrics, arrangements and themes are a product of what feeling a particular song gave in the process of its creation. The Swedish trio tends to favor more grounded, serious or contemporary subjects when it comes to lyrical content, even though the classic fantasy-oriented themes are often still present.

The end goal of Evermore is to create music that makes you feel “something”; ‘Court of the Tyrant King’ evokes that sense of empowerment, uplifting mood and motivation that is sostrongly associated with the metal genre.

  • mastered by Svante at Chartmakers West
  • artwork by Christoph Peters

EVERMORE is:
Johan Haraldsson – vocals
Johan Karlsson – guitar, bass, piano, orchestrations
Andreas Vikland – drums
