INFECTION CODE Announce New Album “Alea Iacta Est” & Share First Song + Music Video

Formed in 1999, with their brutal blend of electronica noise, industrial and thrash metal avant-gardes, INFECTION CODE ever since belongs to one of Italy’s fore-fronting extreme metal acts and became an integral part of the heavy music scene. Following the band’s latest, much acclaimed record IN.R.I. (2019), today, the four-piece announced to return with their eighth studio album! Alea Iacta Est will be released on September 30, 2022 via Argonauta Records.

On their forthcoming album, Infection Code not only presents a new, strong line-up, but a new band spirit and energy that is immediate evident, as they unleash a thunderous, musical scenerio, that promises to be one of their most extreme and heaviest records to date. To share a first sneak peek with you, today, Infection Code premiered a music video for colossal album single “Red Death Masquerade”!

“Red Death Masquerade is the first video published for our new album “Alea Iacta Est” and is the first song created with the new line up. (Actually we have changed again for the third times in nine months).” Says vocalist Gabriele.

He continues: “We have written this song during the first lockdown in our home studio and thanks the technology we could trade the files and then recorded it at THE Cat’s Cage Recording Studios by Francesco Salvadeo. About the lyrics we have take source of inspiration by an Edgar Allan Poe’s novel called Red Death Mask. Musically we think the song have some good killer thrash guitars riff and very aggressive parts of drums. If someone asks what  similar band we could answer Entombed meets Godflesh meets Kreator meets Prong!!!  Probably our faster song of the album. As video we have choose a dynamic cover created by STRX studio and design.”

Alea Iacta Est was recorded, mixed and mastered at The Cat’s Cage Studios by Francesco Salvadeo, and will drop on September 30, 2022 through Italy’s powerhouse label Argonauta Records, with a pre-sale available at THIS LOCATION. The album tracklist reads as follows:

LITTLE CAESAR to Release Remastered/Repackaged “This Time It’s Different” on August 26th

LITTLE CAESAR is best remembered for its version of the soul music song “Chain of Fools,” a 1989 hit single from its self-titled debut album on DGC Records, a subsidiary of Geffen Records. John Kalodner did A&R work for the group, and Bob Rock (Metallica, Mötley Crüe, etc.) produced its debut self-titled album, which was released to positive reviews. On the strength of the singles “Chain of Fools” (a cover of the Aretha Franklin song) and “In Your Arms,” Little Caesar hit number 139 on the US Billboard 200 in 1990.

The band recently reissued its 2009 release Redemption and 2012’s American Dream. Both had been remastered and repackaged for a limited deluxe edition featuring four accompanying live tracks. Due to the great response to those releases, they are now remastering and releasing 1998’s This Time It’s Different in its entirety. This album features the classic line up of Ron Young, Loren Molinare, Tom Morris, Fidel Paniagua, as well Earl Slick (David Bowie, John Lennon), and a guest appearance by Randy Bachman (The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive).  Ron Young had this to say, “We are excited to rerelease these oddball gems. It’s sort of a behind the scenes look into our music and features some songs that had alternate lyrics, song demos, and tracks that the corporate ears passed on for a major release.”

This is the third in a series of reissues coming through the bands new imprint label Dirty Deeds Records/Deko Entertainment.  The band will also be kicking off their European tour on September 8, in Belgium, making stops in France, Austria, Spain, and the Netherlands, before wrapping up in Germany on October 1.

JARI BEHM Releases Debut Single ‘Fight for a Victory’, “Mind adventures” Album Out September 8th

JARI BEHM is a finnish musician who is known especially among friends of heavier music. He was the bassist for Stratovarius in early 90’s. Later on for finnish bands like Tunnelvision and STUD.

He was two decades away from music business until he started to put more effort on music again a few years ago. It was finally time to release his own music as he has been composing songs since the middle of 80’s when he started his music career. There are many unreleased tracks in his drawer waiting to be released. E.g. Fight for a victory was composed already 25 years ago.

“Break from music gave me perspective how I would like to produce the music and I felt it is the time to finally release my own music. Today many good songs have been ruined with extreme compression and over producing. Distinctiveness of instruments and sound quality are very important part of the whole picture and I put special attention into this”, says Jari who has mixed, produced and mastered the music by himself and he continues;

“I found perfect musicians for the track. Guest on the drums is Toni Paananen and Berzan Önen on vocals. I have composed and made lyrics by myself and also played basses, guitars and synths. I hope people find this track as an empowering one”

Music video is also made by Jari.

“Fight for a victory is a sample of the upcoming album and it can be put in to Progressive metal genre box.  I promise that I will not repeat myself on the album as the music genre of my music varies from metal, funk, classical, hard rock to blues”

For years matured “Mind adventures” album will be released 8th September.

SLYDER SMITH & THE OBLIVION KIDS Premiere ‘Pleasure Victim’ Video

In advance of the band’s debut LP, ‘Charm Offensive’, which is out tomorrow, 19th August, the swaggering British rock band, SLYDER SMITH & THE OBLIVION KIDS, have premiered a brand new video for their latest single, ‘Pleasure Victim’.

This new material lands as the group prepare for an extensive UK Tour commencing 23rd August as special guests to groove rock legends Electric Boys.

‘Pleasure Victim’ is a sleaze powered runaway train; an homage to the decadence and debauchery of the late 80s/early 90s Soho rock scene. The new song is a hard-hitting classic rock anthem with filthy duelling guitars, steam roller bass and relentless pounding beat. Lyrically it tells the story of the transformation from being shackled to the doldrums of the 9-5 life to when the weekend finally comes, and the seduction of the night lures you in to live the dream of rock stardom.

“Seduce me with all your charms, I’m a victim when I’m in your arms”

You are powerless, you are addicted to the music, addicted to the look, get dressed to impress, choose your poison, and offer yourself up to the altar of the rock gods. This is your song, this is your anthem, whether you like it or not, you are now a Pleasure Victim… at least for tonight!

Slyder Smith first swaggered onto the stage as lead guitarist with glam-tinged power popsters, Last Great Dreamers. After releasing four studio albums and one live album on Ray Records, Slyder has toured extensively throughout the UK & Europe with LGD headline shows and special guest slots to The Quireboys, The Wildhearts, Terrorvision, The Darkness, Enuff ZNuff, and more.

Slyder now takes centre stage leading his new power trio, Slyder Smith & The Oblivion Kids (featuring Tim Emery on bass and drummer Rik Pratt) in an honest outpouring of grit, glamour and emotion.

Produced by Pete Brown (George Harrison, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Marc Almond, The Smiths, Sam Brown), Slyder Smith & the Oblivion Kids’ debut album, ‘Charm Offensive’ is a chocolate box of sonic sensations offering up a little something for everyone – from heavy riffage with walloping drums akin to AC/DC to the anticipated sleaze rock shades of Hanoi Rocks.

However, this band is not afraid to step away from their rock roots, instead, with nods to the likes of The Doors, Velvet Underground, The Stranglers and The Kinks from the past and the alternative rock sound of Manic Street Preachers, The Oblivion Kids have reimagined an 80s synth pop classic and mastered singalong pop, gothic, dark Americana, and dare we say it, funk rock?!

Filthy UK Quartet GRIEF RITUAL Release New Anti-Government Single ‘Telluric’

GRIEF RITUAL are a band sitting at a musical crossroads – caught between blackened metallic hardcore, post-metal, and the heavier, slower sides of black and death metal, Grief Ritual are as heavy and as miserable as their name suggests.

The trio have released their second single ‘Telluric’, which you can view below.

Stream here: https://linktr.ee/grief_ritual

In the words of the band: “‘Telluric’ is about how twelve years of Conservative government have decimated the NHS and the wider UK health and social support networks.”

The single is another glimpse of Grief Ritual‘s debut EP, Spiritual Disease – a metaphor for the mental illness brought on by the despotic state of the world – which will be released on 9th September.

Human rights continually stripped away, poverty increasing, inequality propping up the super-wealth of the few: these are the themes which Grief Ritual play on. Spiritual Disease is a haunting listen, grim and cathartic, a twenty-minute release of paralyzing, fearful, angry emotion, reminiscent of END, Leeched, Harms Way, Nails, and early Napalm Death.

Spiritual Disease was recorded with Joe Clayton at No Studio (Pijn, Curse These Metal Hands) in the shadow of Strangeways Prison.

TRACKLISTING:
1: Dissolution
2: Immurement
3: Telluric
4: Atrophy
5: Pareidolia

Such a thoughtful approach has already led the young, new band to be described as a “nuanced exploration of caustic catharsis” by The Quietus, as well performing at Bloodstock Open Air and at ArcTanGent x 2000trees crossover event in Summer 2021.

In their brief time as a group, Grief Ritual have already supported Heriot, Heart of a Coward, Knocked Loose, Static Dress, Wiegedood and END. Grief Ritual also made their 2000trees debut this summer, and have recently undertaken a mini-tour with Gutter.

Grief Ritual are:

Chris Ward (guitar) (he/him)
James Broady (drums) (he/him)
Jamie Waggett (vocals) (they/them)
