PRIEST Share Cinematic Video for ‘Nightcrawler’, New Album Out Now

The only thing louder than the buzz of anticipation surrounding the release of the brand-new studio album from dark wave act PRIEST is the overdriven synths and throbbing basslines of the band’s superb “Nightcrawler,” the fourth single from the group’s epic release BODY MACHINE, which is released today on all formats. The song is, at first blush, diametrically opposed to the theatrical ‘80s metal performed by their forebear, the Grammy-award winning metal act GHOST: a seedy nightclub-ready dance track that trades distorted guitars for industrial strength synths and retro metal theatrics for futuristic cyberpunk thrills. But a closer listen, and a glimpse of the fantastic music video for the track, shows the dark underbelly of PRIEST’s music that ravers and wraiths alike can enjoy.

The video for “Nightcrawler” is PRIEST’s most cinematic vision to date, portraying a night in the life of the titular thrill-seeker who finds himself in the establishment of the mysterious Mercury (PRIEST vocalist). A variety of pleasures await our afterhours traveler – leather clad eroticism, S&M delights, ecstasy-inducing drugs – “What do you wanna try tonight?” A deal is made and soon the Nightcrawler finds himself with perhaps a bit more titillation than he can handle.

BODY MACHINE is available now on all formats – CD, vinyl, and digital. The album is produced by Simon Söderberg, another GHOST alumni, and is the band’s first album in partnership with L.A.-based indie label Cleopatra Records.

Italian Power metallers KALEDON have released their new single & video ‘The Eye Of The Storm’, taken from the band’s upcoming album “Legend Of The Forgotten Reign – Chapter VII – Evil Awakens”, set to be released on September 23rd via Beyond The Storm Productions.

Alex Mele of KALEDON comments on the new single:
“It’s hard to describe in words how extremely happy and proud I am about the outcome of “CH7: Evil Awakens“. We already released ‘The Dawn of Dawns’ and here comes the second single ’The Eye Of The Storm’ which shows the energy and the power of the new album. The sheer power of this new song is mind-blowing!”

Mainly composed by him in 2018 and early 2019, mainman and guitarist Alex Mele now presents the direct thematic album follow-up to 2010’s “Chapter VI: The Last Night On The Battlefield”!
And the Roman string wizard has truly made the most of his creative time for KALEDON – “Chapter VII – Evil Awakens” is the most elaborate, versatile and ultimately on all levels most content-rich work of the persistently highly ambitious formation to date.

The consistently gripping concept album also offers lyrically all-around captivating thematic material of the most visionary:
In it, the evil creature Mozul returns from his supposed death to once again bring pain and suffering to the mighty dominion of Kaledon. The entire story can be found in the lovingly designed CD booklet.

The latest POWER METAL spectacle of the enormously charismatic band around the even more fantastic singer Michele ‘Meek’ Guaitoli opens the first chapter of a new trilogy – yes, also theatrically KALEDON can grandiose in all their virtuosity! In the next few years the playful Italians will release chapters 8 and 9.

Since everyone in the group has a professional background, the members recorded their respective parts in all necessary tranquility in their own home studios. The material was subsequently mixed by the experienced all-rounder Guaitoli, and master Meek did a great job for it in his Groove Factory Studios – it simply doesn’t get any fresher and crisper than this.

Lovers of classic, emphatically noble Power Metal will experience goosebumps and flights of fancy at the same time while listening, because “Chapter VII – Evil Awakens” can simply do everything.

The opulently enchanting disc pleases even the most tasteful and demanding ears in the most rhythmically powerful way with absolutely ecstatic speed outbursts, truly dreamlike melodies and a gigantic fervent singer on world-class level! (Markus Eck)

MOONSHADE Release Single + Video ‘Valley Of Dying Stars’

Valley Of Dying Stars’ is the fifth and final single from MOONSHADE‘s upcoming sophomore album  ‘As We Set the Skies Ablaze’.

Deeply inspired by the Russel-Einstein Manifesto against the weaponization of nuclear technology, it stands as both a protest anthem against the russian ocupation of Ukraine and Vladimir Putin‘s threats of nuclear assault, but is also a grim warning of the dire consequences of all-out war during the nuclear age. One word sums it up to perfection: ‘denuclearize’.

The album ‘As We Set The Skies Ablaze‘ will be out on July 22nd. Pre-orders are available at Moonshade’s official online store at https://www.moonshadeofficial.com/store .

Drums were written and recorded by Diogo Mota (Gaerea). Female back vocals were recorded by Sandra Oliveira (Blame Zeus, Perennial Dawn).

Produced, mixed and mastered by Afonso Aguiar (Titanforged Productions).

Single and album artwork by Credo Quia Absurdum.

OUR MANIFESTO

About three months after this song was recorded, Vladimir Putin reminded the world of the fragility of the nuclear standoff.

Decades ago, some of the greatest minds in History got together to create the greatest weapon known to Man. The Manhattan Project, led by J. Robert Oppenheimer, brought forth the nuclear age with its invention of the atomic bomb.

Since the Cold War, the world saw a bloom in nuclear technology. While many major world powers gained access to these weapons, nuclear stockpiling, upgraded missile technology and the invention of the thermonuclear hydrogen bomb severely upscaled the already barely comprehensible destructive power seen in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Today, the world lives arguably more peacefully, yet under the threat of a loaded gun. Many world leaders have full autonomy to deploy these weapons, which could easily trigger a nuclear holocaust – the storm to end all storms.

‘Here, then, is the problem which we present to you, stark and dreadful and inescapable: Shall we put an end to the human race; or shall mankind renounce war?’ – Russel-Einstein Manifesto, 1955.

Denuclearize.

GOD ALONE Sign to Prosthetic Records; Announce New Album “ETC” + Share Lead Single ‘TskTskTsk’

Prosthetic Records are thrilled to announce that GOD ALONE are the latest addition to the Los Angeles label’s roster. The Cork, Ireland based genre-bending mathrock and avant-garde group have today announced plans to release their second album, titled ETC, set to be released on October 21. Alongside the announcement, GOD ALONE have today shared the lead single TskTskTsk and an accompanying music video.

Stream TskTskTsk via Apple Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Bandcamp and Spotify
Pre-order ETC here.

Speaking on the signing the band comments: “We couldn’t be happier to sign to such a fantastic label and are looking forward to being on the same roster as so many unreal bands.”

Of TskTskTsk and album announcement, the band add: “This is exactly the album we have always wanted to make. We chose TskTskTsk as the first single as we thinks it’s most representative of the direction we want to pursue. It’s the most contrasting to our prior releases and we think it’s very banging.”

The five musicians behind GOD ALONE are quite literally students of their craft; ETC – their second full length album – was recorded at MTU Cork School of Music which they all attend. ETC was produced by the band and Christopher Hockey, and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Witch Fever, GGGOLDDD, Ghost). The origins of the band lie in a heavier, post-metal sound, but the intervening years and an influx of new and stimulating influences has seen them broaden their palette, expand their horizons and hone a distinctive sound.

ETC tracklist:
1. Tinfoil in the Walls
2. Kung Fu Treachery
3. ETC
4. TskTskTsk
5. 15BM1989
6. Peony

Whilst embracing all that the Irish music scene has to offer, GOD ALONE are constantly pushing to make their way out of Ireland and further afield. Cutting their teeth in an eclectic and enthusiastic local scene helped them to refine their live chops, giving their performance increased weight and attention as they progressed. Now when they write, the live iteration of their music is always at the forefront of their minds.

GOD ALONE‘s approach traverses through mathrock, dance, avant-garde, post-punk and more on its way to its final destination. Citing the Talking Heads as a big influence, GOD ALONE embrace absurdism at every turn – in particular the absurdity of nothingness; the art of existing without meaning or context. Abstract lyrics are influenced by French dadaist poets as they seek to make heavy ideas into fun, danceable vignettes.

Minimalist album art courtesy of Ian McInerney highlights the repetition of things that have no clear beginning or end – the endless loop of everything and nothing all at once.

Upcoming GOD ALONE tour dates:
July 15- Sneaky Pete’s – Edinburgh, UK
July 17 – The 13th Note – Glasgow, UK
August 19 – ArcTanGent – Bristol, UK
November 2 – Voodoo – Belfast, UK
November 3 – The Workman’s Club – Dublin, IRE
November 4 – Áras Na Gael – Galway, IRE
November 5 – Pharmacia – Limerick, IRE
November 10 – Cyprus Avenue – Cork, IRE
