HERBA MATE Announce New Album “Bolide I & II” + Unleash Music Video for First Single ‘Poppy’

Italian Desert Rock trio HERBA MATE has announced its upcoming studio album “Bolide I & II”, which is set to be released on November 20 via Go Down Records. Alongside the album announcement, the band unveils the track, “Poppy”, offering the first glimpse into the world of “Bolide I & II”. The single is out now on all major streaming platforms and you can watch the video below.

The band says: “‘Poppy’ is our invitation to look beyond the ordinary, immerse ourselves in the natural world, and rediscover something authentic within. We are inspired by the landscape, capturing the shifting dialogue between earth and sky at sunrise and sunset, amplifying the track’s introspective spirit. Blending desert rock, psychedelia, and Western-inspired influences, ‘Poppy’ unfolds through layered guitars, percussion, and ambient textures to create a hypnotic, cinematic atmosphere.“

Formed in 2000, HERBA MATE‘s comeback album is rooted in the band’s everyday life: family, friendship, work, the streets, and their beloved Romagna – a homeland stretching from clay canyons to the sea. The record title evokes a fascination with what races forward: technology, progress, speed, and efficiency. This tension defines our time, shaped by the pursuit of perfection. Yet acceleration also risks disconnecting us from the tangible simplicity of the world around us, made up of water, air, earth, and fire: the elements that bring us back to our essence. This contrast lies at the heart of the album’s concept and sound. The project unfolds across two consecutive releases: “Bolide I & II”, exploring Earth and Air, followed by “Bolide III & IV”, which will turn to Fire and Water. 

HERBA MATE‘s music draws inspiration from the vast California deserts – the birthplace of Desert Rock and Stoner Rock, and home to influential bands such as Kyuss, Fatso Jetson, Queens of the Stone Age, Yawning Man, and Fu Manchu. From their base in Italy, the three friends reinterpret these lysergic sounds through psychedelic dynamics, deep low frequencies, and hypnotic riffs, adding a distinctly Romagna-flavored edge.

Hamburg’s rising modern metal force Lost in Hollywood return with their brand-new single ‘way too close’, featuring Nathaniel Pulley of Archers. Blurring the lines between modern metalcore, alternative pop and urban influences, the track sees the band push their distinctive sound into an even more emotional and dynamic direction.​

Built around the fear of letting someone get too close after experiencing heartbreak, ‘way too close’ captures the tension between craving intimacy and instinctively pulling away from it. Vulnerable melodies and an instantly memorable chorus collide with atmospheric electronic textures and crushing breakdowns, creating the sharp contrasts that have become an essential part of Lost in Hollywood’s identity.

Nathaniel Pulley adds another dimension to the track, with his unmistakable voice complementing vocalist Amon Garrasi and amplifying the song’s emotional weight. Having already shared stages across Europe with Archers earlier this year, the collaboration feels like a natural meeting point between two exciting voices in the new generation of heavy music.

For ‘way too close’, Lost in Hollywood once again surrounded themselves with some of the scene’s most exciting creative minds. The single was co-produced alongside Timo Bonner of Our Mirage and Manuel Kohlert of Future Palace, while Max Ivory handled mixing and mastering. The result is a polished yet hard-hitting production that gives equal space to the track’s vulnerability, infectious pop sensibility and explosive heaviness.​

Following the first taste of their next chapter, ‘Godtier’ pushes Resolve deeper into the ambitious world surrounding the upcoming record. Ferocious, expansive and driven by the band’s unmistakable sense of scale, the track captures the collision of intensity, atmosphere and emotion that continues to define their evolving sound.

Speaking of the new single, vocalist Anthony Diliberto shares: “While a lot of the Spread My Ashes Into Space ideas and concepts are about wanting to step back and escape, ‘Godtier’ could be almost the polar opposite. It’s about willingly flying straight into the fire. The lyrics are telling this story of a character steering a spaceship into a dying sun, but the core meaning of this is deeply human. It’s about chasing a thrill that you know is eventually going to break you.

“Whether it’s the physical and mental toll of what we do, or simply pouring every ounce of yourself into a passion, you’re eventually reminded that pushing yourself to the absolute limit comes with its price. You know the crash that follows the euphoria is going to hurt. But there is an undeniable, almost addictive beauty in experiencing that level of intensity. THE FERAL KIDS Tear Down the Facade of Jet-Set Life with Third Single ‘Shine On Your Role’

Scandinavian action rock torchbearers The Feral Kids unleash their third single, “Shine On Your Role”, into the digital ether. The energetic track combines the band’s trademark catchy guitar riffs, raw and powerful vocals, and a solid, driving rhythm section.

“Shine On Your Role” takes the listener into the Californication TV series’ state of mind. Visually, the song is like cruising down the sun-drenched Sunset Strip in a convertible – until the ride takes you back home, where the perfect lifestyle turns out to be a complete dump.

The song is about willful blindness, superficial living, and maintaining appearances. On the outside, everything looks like a carefree jet-set lifestyle, while in reality there’s a pile of unpaid bills on the floor and dreams have turned into a prison of the mind.

There’s a strong cynical undercurrent running through the song: the narrator watches it all from the sidelines and makes it clear that he has no intention of helping when the inevitable collapse comes and reality finally catches up with him.

“Shine On Your Role” was written by Matti Junell, the first vocalist of an early incarnation of the band, with music composed by guitarist Mikko Renko.

The Feral Kids have previously released the singles “No Wall” and “Soul Too Good”.
