Fresh from a breakthrough start to 2026, Mongolian folk metal collective UUHAI announce their full European headline tour, taking place in March and April 2027 in support of their debut album, Human Herds. Following their highly acclaimed appearances on the “Motocultor Across Europe Tour” in early 2026 with Napalm Records label mates NANOWAR OF STEEL, a run that quickly established the band as one of the standout revelations of the year, UUHAI return to Europe with an expanded live production and a new set built around the material from their first full-length release.

Blending traditional Mongolian instruments, throat singing and contemporary metal influences, UUHAI have developed a distinctive sound and a powerful live reputation that has resonated far beyond the folk metal scene. Their upcoming headline tour, “Human Herds – European Tour 2027 – Part 1”, will see the band perform across the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland. The tour will also feature a diverse supporting line-up with Acyl, known for their fusion of metal and North African influences, alongside rising act Blossom Cult, further expanding the tour’s cross-cultural and contemporary heavy music identity. Amplifying the blending of throat singing and horsehead fiddles with heavy music, breakthrough rockers UUHAI bestow a captivating sound upon the Mongolian steppe with Human Herds, out January 9, 2026 via Napalm Records. After their first songs gained them millions of video views, the seven-piece band unleashes a debut album that draws from the imposing history and awe-inspiring nature of Mongolia alike. On Human Herds, UUHAI reflect on both their roots and modern society, delivering a powerful plea to everyone, everywhere, wrapped up in a heartfelt love letter to their homeland—all in Mongolian language.

Human Herds impresses with far more than just a language and instruments unfamiliar to most ears. It is a reverent invitation into the heart of Mongolia that you won’t get anywhere else, buoyant and powerful in both storytelling and musical delivery. With deep gratitude and respect, UUHAI creates an emotional ode to nature and delivers a grassroots message to society: this debut album is a powerful reminder that on this earth, we are all the same.

UUHAI about Human Herds:
“Human Herds is a reflection on the unstoppable tide of humanity—our migrations, our revolts, our worship, and our wounds upon the Earth. Yet in our chaos, we must remember: we all live under one sun and one moon on Earth, sharing the same fragile home.”

On the new album, UUHAI steps into the role of perceptive storytellers, guiding listeners through the spirit and soundscape of the Far East. Following a tone-setting, appropriately atmospheric intro is the title track, “Human Herds”. A galloping hard rock anthem calling upon the forefathers, it first offers colorful descriptions of nature’s beauty along with the urge to take better care of weeping Mother Earth instead of watching her destruction, delivered in haunting antiphony—the overarching theme of the album. “Uuhai” snarlingly tells the tale of how Mongolia historically drew its strength from said connection with its surroundings, dispersing both evil spirits and other nations. It culminates in the band chanting their name, which translates to a common battle cry for good fortune—which European fans will have a chance to join in on during the upcoming tour. Sweeping “Khar Khulz” offers passages to sing along with and simultaneously conjures up images in your mind that will have you booking the next flight to Ulaanbaatar. Throughout their diverse first album, UUHAI show an imposing ability to both create intimate settings that have us witness age-old rituals and deliver catchy hits as a heavy rock troupe. “Secret History Of The Mongols” wraps up the journey. Named after the oldest surviving literary work in the Mongolic language, dated to the late 1220s, the final track seduces with an enticing atmosphere, an emotional guitar solo, and another round of goosebump-inducing “uuhai” chants, invoking a collectively bright future.

The Band comments the single:
“The lyrics describe the complexity of the human mind. They explore how our senses transmit signals that the mind interprets according to our emotional states. They also reflect on how sometimes we see something that completely changes our previous understanding of the same thing, and on how remarkable, fascinating, and constantly capable of uncovering new perspectives the human mind can be. For example: once you see the arrow in the Fedex logo (between E and X), you can’t unsee it.”

–Lyrics by Mikko Suomi
–Produced and mixed by Tuomas Virtanen
–Mastered by Niklas Jussila at Finnvox

Cerebrum ”since 1992”

Cerebrum is a progressive death metal band from Turku in Finland. The band was formed in Turku in 1992. Initially, their music was more akin to old-school death metal, but on their second demo, they had adopted a more progressive style. Just when things were starting to get interesting, Cerebrum vanished. (Active 1992–1996).

In 2023, the old-school death metal festival ‘Finnish Death Metal Maniacs’ introduced the return of Cerebrum with four of its original members. A few years later, with a new keyboard player, the band is ready to release new material. In July 2025, the Spanish label Memento Mori released a Cerebrum compilation of their 1990s material entitled Vestiges of an Evoked Past (1993–1994).

Line-up:
Mikko Suomi – Vocals and bass
Vesa-Matti Rauhu – Guitars and backing vocals

ETERNAL MOURN to Release New EP “Winds of Sorrow” on July 20th

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 9, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: ETERNAL MOURN. Leave a comment

Italian death-doom newcomers ETERNAL MOURN have signed with Terror From Hell Records for the release of their debut EP, “Winds of Sorrow”, scheduled for July 20th, 2026.

Born from the collaboration between drummer Debla and guitarist/vocalist Gabriel (Black Oath, The Rite, Extirpation), and later completed by guitarist Eros (Extirpation, Funest) and bassist/vocalist Santo (Araphel, Demonomancy), ETERNAL MOURN emerged from a shared desire to channel feelings of melancholy, frustration, inner decay and loss into music steeped in darkness and emotion.

Drawing heavily from the great death-doom tradition of the 1990s, the band pays homage to genre-defining acts such as Paradise Lost, Katatonia and Cemetary while avoiding mere nostalgia. Instead, ETERNAL MOURN reinterpret those influences with remarkable confidence and authenticity, crafting songs that feel complete, memorable and emotionally resonant, without sacrificing the raw and rugged edge that lies at the heart of classic doom/death metal.

Recorded at Spvn Studio in Guanzate, Italy, “Winds of Sorrow” consists of three carefully crafted tracks that capture the essence of the band’s vision: mournful melodies, somber atmospheres and a pervasive sense of desolation intertwined with powerful riffs and heartfelt performances. The result is a debut that balances melancholy and heaviness with natural ease, establishing ETERNAL MOURN as a promising new name within the contemporary death-doom scene.

The video of the title-track is streaming HERE.

Tracklist:

01. Falling Tears
02. Embracing Tragedy
03. Winds of Sorrow
