The powerhouse U.S. rockers P.O.D. have unveiled the official video for ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ — a cover of the classic by The Beatles. The release coincides with a significant anniversary: 5 December 2025 marks 60 years since The Beatles’ last live performances in their hometown of Liverpool.

On 5 December 1965, The Beatles took to the stage twice at the Liverpool Empire Theatre, delivering what would become their final concerts ever in the city. The shows were part of their 1965 UK tour, which concluded a week later. By releasing their video today, P.O.D. honours the enduring legacy of The Beatles — celebrating the music, the milestones, and the timeless influence the Liverpool legends continue to have over generations of musicians and fans.

5 December also marks the first date of P.O.D.’s Latin American tour, beginning at the Carioca Club, São Paolo, Brazil. The first of nine dates, they’ll play a further six shows in Brazil as well as a show in each of Argentina and Chile.

The video for ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ showcases the Southtown icons signature energy whilst paying homage to one of the Fab Four’s most beloved songs, and offers a little taste of what their Latin American fans can expect. You can watch the video  HERE

Sonny Sandoval takes the blueprint laid down by John Lennon and infuses it with his own contemporary edge, delivering the lyrics with a renewed emotional punch that gives the song a rich, modern heaviness. Marcos Curiel’s fierce, textured backing vocals, puncture the song elevating it beyond simply a tribute. They craft a version that not only honors the spirit of the original, but firmly establishes its own distinct identity within P.O.D.’s sonic world.

“As cliché as it may sound, we’ve always admired The Beatles from the very beginning of our songwriting journey,” says Marcos Curiel.  “Their melodies, the hooks, and fearless experimentation inspired us to craft our own take on the classic “Don’t Let Me Down,” with nothing but the utmost respect.  Thank you for helping lay the foundation of what we all know today as rock ‘n roll, pop, and metal.”

In true road-warrior fashion, the band has barely paused for breath, having only just wrapped a major U.S. Fall tour alongside Daughtry and Seether. And the momentum isn’t slowing down. The group has confirmed they’ll be bringing the party to Europe for the Summer 2026 festival season,  – UK (Download), Austria (Nova Rock), Belgium (Graspop), Portugal (Rock N Rio), Switzerland (Summerside), Denmark (Copenhell), Finland (Tuska), Germany (Rockharz, Wacken Open Air) and Spain (Resurrection). They have also announced they will be playing Sick New World in Texas, in October 2026. Tickets are available HERE.

In May 2024, P.O.D. released their 11th album VERITAS via Mascot Records.  The album was a Top 10 hit across the U.S. Billboard Current Hard Rock, Current Rock, and Current Alternative Album charts, and has already surpassed 71 million total streams.  The band has released several singles from that album including the eruptive ‘AFRAID TO DIE’ featuring Jinjer vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk, ‘I GOT THAT’, and ‘I WON’T BOW DOWN’.  ‘DROP’ features a vicious vocal feature from Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe. The album picked up major playlisting across Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, Pandora, and Deezer, and stream rolled support from SXM Octane, Loudwire, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Kerrang! Radio, Metal Hammer, Knotfest, INKED, Revolver and more.

The platinum-selling superstars — Sonny Sandoval (vocals), Marcos Curiel (guitar), and Traa Daniels (bass) — remain in perpetual motion, never content to rest on past glories. Instead, they continue to evolve with each new chapter, all while staying true to the core of what has always defined P.O.D. –  authenticity.

And the moment you’re in the crowd, watching them in full flow on stage, that message becomes undeniable.

SLIK HELVETIKA Return with New Single ‘Solar Head’

One of the heaviest bands to emerge from the Philadelphia rock scene is certainly Slik Helvetika. Who, will be returning on December 5, 2025 with a brand new single, “Solar Head” – which serves as a preview concerning what to expect from the band’s 2026 full-length, ‘Walk Through Fire,’ which will be released through Deko Entertainment.

“‘Solar Head’ begins with an unsettling actual recording of solar wind, then erupts into full ass kicking mode,” explains the group’s long-time singer/guitarist/songwriter Michael Myers. “The song is written about a mass coronal ejection large enough to engulf all in its path. A mass extinction level event.”

“What if this event’s energy had a consciousness?  Let’s talk about that.  Better yet, let’s write a full throttle heavy metal anthem around this this extinction level event with the tongue in cheek placement of some very aggressive cliches and lyrics! The Atomic Killpig rules this world!”

From the glory days of the Philadelphia and New Jersey rock scene of the 80s that spawned Cinderella, Britny Fox, Pretty Poison, John Eddie, and an entire laundry list of artists who went forward to be stars, there was a band called Destroyer.  These boys in Destroyer were *ssholes. Too young, bad attitudes, but really good, great songs, and ultra entertaining.

Going wide open full throttle, it would take them some time before they were a commodity that a record company of that day would even consider. Even though their self-released EP sold out of multiple pressings. When that glorious day came, there was a flash bulletin….“Sorry, grunge ate your genre”.

Led by Myers, the band had unknowingly sidestepped all the woes and pressures of being “that commodity” and unwanted influences. Taking some time to let the songs and playing develop to be the best it could resulted in that band today called Slik Helvetika. Lots of driving energy, melody, memorable chorus hooks, great playing and strong lyrics. Yes, it is a reincarnation of Destroyer with bigger balls, but incredibly tastefully done.

The line up has always featured Michael Myers on lead guitar and vocals – who has had the privilege of playing alongside a variety of talented musicians, such as Kjell Benner [formerly of Quiet Riot] Vern Parsons [Greg Howe].  Slik Helvetika and Destroyer have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Cinderella, Trixter, Savatage, EZO, Kingdom Come, Malice, Foghat, Rick Derringer, Funny Money, [Kix side project], Krokus, Manowar, John 5 and many more.

And on December 5th, Myers and co. proved once again that they are one of the most ferocious rock bands to ever come out of the Philly scene, with the arrival of “Solar Head.”

Press shot by Ross Halfin

Multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® inductees Aerosmith, British multi-platinum, GRAMMY® nominated artist Yungblud and GRAMMY® Award-winning American country singer, songwriter and actress Lainey Wilson today shared “Wild Woman (Lainey Wilson Version),” an electric new version of “Wild Woman” from Aerosmith and Yungblud’s collaborative EP One More Time, out now via Capitol Records. Built on the original track’s blues-infused foundation and briskly strummed chords, the new take showcases Wilson’s bold vocal performance, adding a distinct country edge that complements the song’s rock foundation.

Speaking about the new version of “Wild Woman,” Yungblud shares, “I’m really hyped to have Lainey Wilson jump on this record with us. I have been a fan of her for a while. Her life story is truly inspirational. With this record, we really needed a female vocalist who could carry it with the level of authenticity that Lainey embodies. We needed a wild woman and we for sure got one!”

Listen to One More Time HERE.  The EP is available digitally and as limited-edition vinyl, CD, and cassette HERE.

The song’s release follows the breakthrough chart debut of One More Time, which entered the Top 10 of the Billboard 200—one of the top rock debuts of the year—extending Aerosmith’s six-decade streak of Top 10 Billboard 200 entries and delivering Yungblud’s first-ever Top 10 on the chart. With nearly 40,000 first-week units, the EP also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums, as well as No. 1 on Indie Store Album Sales, No. 2 on Vinyl Albums, and No. 3 on Top Album Sales, and opened at No. 1 in the UK—Aerosmith’s first-ever UK No. 1 in their 49-year chart history and Yungblud’s second UK No. 1 of the year—while landing in the Top 5 across multiple territories including Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

“Wild Woman (Lainey Wilson Version)” took shape after Steven Tyler and Lainey Wilson performed “Dream On” together at Tyler’s 6th annual Jam for Janie benefit in February 2025, held in support of Janie’s Fund, his initiative aiding young women and girls who have survived abuse. As the One More Time sessions progressed, Tyler and Yungblud invited Wilson to bring her voice to the track, with Joe Perry returning to the studio to craft a new guitar part for this version.

The collaboration arrives during a banner year for Wilson, who is fresh off of hosting the 2025 CMA Awards, where she was the first woman to host the show solo since 1991, and took home three trophies including Entertainer of the Year. With three nominations at the upcoming GRAMMY Awards, Wilson was recently named to the TIME100 Next 2025 list of influential rising stars alongside Gracie Abrams and Becky G, and headlined the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Her single “Somewhere Over Laredo” is #1 at country radio and Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Marking Aerosmith’s first new music in more than twelve years, the five-track One More Time collection — produced by Matt Schwartz — rallies two generations of rock ’n’ roll across four original songs co-written by Aerosmith and Yungblud. With Tyler and Yungblud dueting on every track and Joe Perry’s signature guitar driving the sound, the project was introduced with the lead single“My Only Angel“ (and accompanying visual) which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, remained in the Top 10 for three weeks, and landed across multiple rock and alternative charts.  Following the original, Aerosmith and Yungblud shared “My Only Angel (Desert Road Version),” a stripped-back reinterpretation featuring a special guest performance from GRAMMY® Award winner Steve Martin on banjo and released alongside a companion visual.

The EP also includes the original version of “Wild Woman,” alongside “Problems,” a cinematic, widescreen rocker, and “A Thousand Days,” a reflective ballad that pairs Yungblud’s raw delivery with Tyler’s soulful response. The collection closes with a newly remixed 2025 version of the Aerosmith classic “Back in the Saddle,” amplifying the original’s power with Yungblud’s grit and Tyler’s unmistakable wail.

One More Time EP Tracklist:

  1. My Only Angel
  2. Problems
  3. Wild Woman
  4. A Thousand Days
  5. Back In The Saddle (2025 Mix)
  6. Wild Woman (Lainey Wilson Version)

Uriah Heep’s Ex-Lead Singer PETER GOALBY Releases Long Lost Solo Album “Don’t Think This Is Over”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on December 7, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Peter Goalby. Leave a comment

PETER GOALBY was the lead singer of Uriah Heep, Trapeze and Fable but has now retired from the music industry after an illustrious career.

Peter had been living with the knowledge he’d recorded a solo album just after leaving Uriah Heep but it was only when a poorly labelled DAT was spotted, at a storage facility over 30 years later, that the lost album was found.

The album was finished when his Uriah Heep bandmates Mick Box (guitar) and John Sinclair (keys) added the final overdubs to the tracks in 2025.  The 9-track album was personally overseen (from tape transfer, mastering and artwork) by Peter Goalby.

Peter Goalby explained the background to the release: “In 1987 I was offered a recording and publishing contract with RAK Records just after I’d left Uriah Heep.  I thought these songs would be very commercial in the 1980s and Smokie recorded Fallin’ Apart. I later found out the master tapes had been lost and I silently carried the disappointment that music I’d put my heart and soul into was gone forever.  Never say never!”

The lost album’s release follows the successful release of Easy With The Heartaches and then I Will Come Runnin’.  Don’t Think This Is Over is OUT NOW from all good retailers:

–Amazon CD: https://geni.us/DontThinkCD
–Apple Music: https://geni.us/PGapplemusic
–Spotify: https://geni.us/PGspotify

All Peter Goalby’s solo albums are also available from Cherry Red: https://www.cherryred.co.uk/artists/peter-goalby
