GRAMMY-Nominated NOTHING MORE Announce New Album “Spirits” + Release Title Track

Multi-Grammy-nominated, San Antonio-based rock outfit NOTHING MORE have today revealed details on their highly awaited new studio album. Out worldwide on October 14 via Better Noise Music, SPIRITS’ 13 tracks consist of the band’s most focused, adventurous, and intense music, uniting introspective philosophical lyrics with unapologetically massive anthems. Pre-order SPIRITS now at https://nothingmore.ffm.to/spirits.

Coinciding with the news, NOTHING MORE are excited to share the album’s title track “SPIRITS,” which was released today (June 24), across all digital platforms along with its lyric video. Stream/download “Spirits” now and watch the lyric video HERE.

“Isn’t it interesting that we give the same name to something holy and something wholly intoxicating?” asks NOTHING MORE frontman JONNY HAWKINS. “The song ‘SPIRITS’ describes that very conundrum. When you drink liquor, it has been said that you are welcoming that pneuma (spirit) into your body.  Most of us have seen and experienced how alcohol (or rather ‘al-ghawl,’ which means demon/spirit) can make us feel.  It’s almost as if we turn into someone else when too much of the spirit has been consumed.  Sometimes it’s eye opening and can lead to wondrous life-changing conversations or bonds that would never normally happen…and sometimes it can lead to the exact opposite.  It may turn us into Dr. Hyde’s Jekyll and cause us to do or say horrific things we would never normally do sober.  Spirits are both a little bit heavenly and a little bit sick.”

Earlier this week NOTHING MORE announced a fall tour with heavy rockers In This Moment. It will stretch from August 26 to October 22 and include stops at several of the largest rock festivals including Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Louder Than Life, Rocklahoma and Aftershock. “The fire, passion and momentum we feel from our first tour back is insane!” exclaims HAWKINS. “It only makes sense to bring that same fire to the fall with a one-of-a-kind tour with In This Moment.” Tickets go on sale today at 10:00 A.M. local time at https://nothingmore.net. See full dates listed below.

NOTHING MORE were recently seen on tour across the U.S. on a co-headlining run with Asking Alexandria, who had to drop-off mid-tour due to health problems. The band relentlessly continued to lead the remaining dates with their exciting live show which saw the return of their infamous “Scorpion Tail”—a 400-pound, 14-foot MIDI controller constructed out of salvaged metal scraps by bassist Daniel Oliver that brings Hawkins’ electrifying stage presence to life musically. “It’s not only a wild theatrical display, it allows Jonny to manipulate the band’s sound using a series of levers through a musical instrument digital interface,” noted MUSIC MADNESS MAGAZINE (6/1/22). “It’s a big part of the show as the crowd went wild whenever Jonny took to the air.” There’s been no shortage of praise for NOTHING MORE’s fervent performances.  “If any rock concert in recent memory is sure to leave a lasting impression in my mind, it will certainly be the day Nothing More graced The Wellmont with their energetic, unapologetic, and absolutely electric performance,” proclaimed Asbury Park Vibes (5/31/22) journalist/photographer Anthony Vito Cosentino. “This is the kind of rock band you need to see with your own eyes to believe, and once you’ve experienced their eclectic performance for yourself, you will have a higher standard for rock concerts as a whole.”

NOTHING MORE gave fans the first preview of SPIRITS with two singles–their in-your-face rock anthem “TURN IT UP LIKE (Stand in the Fire)“and their  most recent Top 20 BillboardActive Rock radio single “TIRED OF WINNING” which is currently at #11. SPIRITS was co-written and produced by the band—Hawkins (vocals), Oliver (bass), Mark Vollelunga (guitar) and Ben Anderson (drums)—and their longtime manager Will Hoffman. It documents the tumultuous time the world experienced over the past two years capturing the desperation and isolation of lockdown, the spiral of substance abuse, the pain of broken relationships and survival in self-reliance while summarizing the overall story and mission of NOTHING MORE: Reflect, Provoke, Inspire.

The track is called Trying To Breathe and here’s the group’s statement of intent; “They have taken control of our lives, our minds, our information receptors and most of the things that ‘free will’ consists of. We can’t help but feel trapped in situations we have no control over, and all we can do is survive, and push on, helplessly struggling for some meaning, one breath at a time.”

Gypsy Pistoleros have burst onto the rock scene with their unique Flamenco Rumba Punk Rock n Roll Rock sound & style, one of the most exciting new bands around, wowing everyone that comes into contact with them.

Gypsy Pistoleros may be best described as being the ideal house band for the fictitious Titty Twister bar of Rodriguez’s From Dusk Til Dawn. Between the nods to Morricone’s tense, tumbleweed atmospheres and the Gypsy Kings’ manic Latin energy, a New York Dolls raw glam-punk spark and a surplus of prime G ‘n’ R attitude!

The sound is flamenco & rumba in a head-on collision with punk/rock riffs, pounding bass and thrashing drums. The songs span madly in the best rock ‘n’ roll tradition with big hooks, attitude, and sleaze. Yet those flamenco breaks got into your head and refuse to leave – this unique hybrid rocks.

Gypsy Pistoleros unleashed their highly anticipated and already critically acclaimed new, full album ‘The Mescalito Vampires’ on Special Limited Edition Double 10″ (Dusk n Dawn) Moon coloured Vinyl’s & gatefold sleeve (Includes 2 extra tracks)

MOLDER Share New Single + Music Video ‘Relentless Pestilence’

Chicago, IL’s most fetid, MOLDER have today shared the third and final pre-release single to be taken from their upcoming sophomore album, Engrossed in Decay, titled Relentless Pestilence. Alongside the release of the track, MOLDER have also shared an accompanying music video that features the band showcasing their bludgeoning chemistry in stark black and grey.

Engrossed in Decay is due for release on July 15 and is available to pre-order here.

Stream Relentless Pestilence via Apple Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Bandcamp and Spotify

Speaking on the album announcement and track premiere MOLDER comments: “Relentless Pestilence is our ode to living in a plague ridden world. Generally speaking it’s about meeting your demise from an unsuspecting force. Although it was written during the midst of the pandemic, it is not specifically about Covid-19, or any specific event for that matter. It’s just a four-minute ripper about successful world obliteration through the release of contagions. That said, we’re thrilled to drop this video filmed in our rehearsal space. No fancy backdrop, storyline, acting, etc. here… just raw footage of us doing what we do every week in the basement.”

Conceptually, Engrossed in Decay collects the sonic aesthetics of in-song samples, death-obsessed lyrics, and colorful mucus and blood themes into a cohesively gross package. This is the type of gift found in medical waste repositories or in the aftermath of a kitchen knife rampage. One look at the cover illustrated by Lucas Korte (Blood Incantation, Tomb Mold), and MOLDER’s sordid intentions are immediately evident. This is blood-curdling, gore-hurling death metal from graves licentiously disturbed.

Recorded at Studio Novy with Cheyenne Brandt (Vanished Cadavers, and Chicago Metal Hell Vol 2), Cianide’s Scott Carroll joined the sessions as steward before the final mix went to Philadelphia-based mastering ace Arthur Rizk (Creeping Death, Temple of Void). The result is an engrossing experience, nasty to the touch yet riveting like a chainsaw battle. Glutinous Remains, Chemically Dissolved, Huff the Stench, and the title track are prime examples of MOLDER’s choicest, meatiest cuts.

The next phase of MOLDER’s depraved death metal domination will commence after Engrossed in Decay is unleashed upon metaldom. Until then, they’ll fester wildly in and around Chicago, with the rest of North America suffering perversely with a full-scale bloodbath later in 2022.

You’ve been warned! MOLDER are coming for you, their stomach-churning, mortifying corpses in full-on attack mode.

Engrossed in Decay tracklist:

1. Glutinous Remains
2. Engrossed in Decay
3. Relentless Pestilence
4. Chemically Dissolved
5. Disinhumed Carcass Revived
6. Huff the Stench
7. Unsubstantial Hallucinations
8. Ghastly Mutations
9. Decomposed Embryos
10. Cask of Maggots

Upcoming MOLDER shows:

July 22nd – Reggies – Chicago, IL
August 13 – Heavy Hell III Festival – Black Circle – Indianapolis, IN
August 19 – Club Garibaldi – Milwaukee, WI
