On July 15th Italy’s QUIET CONFUSION will release their brand new album “Magella” via Go Down Records. Featuring eight tracks, recorded in the “old-fashioned way” to capture the strength and dynamism of live music, with “Magella” the band presents their very own a blend of straight stoner rock with tons of fuzz, 70s echoes and psychedelic trips. An album far from the current usual rules, but essential for the band since it is extremely honest.

In support of the new album, Quiet Confusion have released the track “Droppers”, streaming here:

The band comments:

“The song is a fair of nonsense, distortions and unreal situations that surround us everyday. Truth, on the other hand, is given with an eyedropper. It would be nice to be able to wipe out these lies that poison our brains and get back to life by focusing on the most essential things. Everyone has a role to play in this circus and everyone has responsibilities. We cannot think of keeping out of it.“

“Magella” will be coming out on July 15th and is available for pre-order / pre-save here:https://www.godownrecords.com/product-page/quiet-confusion-magella-CD

  2. Plastic Man
  3. Lady In Blue
  4. Wastin’ Time
  5. Sweet Noise
  6. Behind The Sun
  7. Droppers

Finnish Oulu-based power trio RAT BOOGIE released a new single Bad Gravity via Finnish record label Secret Entertainment.

What keeps you on the ground and keeps your dreams down? It’s Bad Gravity! With their latest single Rat Boogie studies this familiar phenomenon a bit more, continuing with a theme from their debut album. But it’s uplifting rock’n roll, all the same!

Hailing from Oulu, northern Finland, Rat Boogie is a trio that melts different influences into a tightly rocking, original package. In the core there is always the organic live playing that gives the flowing melodies a solid backbone. With an amply aggressive but breathing sound, Rat Boogie adventures inside the rock’n roll nucleus, celebrating all the good things that can be achieved with guitars, bass and drums.

With long musical experience in Finnish bands such as EBPSATRFM, The Blaster Master and Laid Back Townies, Rat Boogie makes memorable melodies, while rocking tightly in the trio format. The songs are firmly connected to the reality around us, but not without imagination and humour.

AS PARADISE FALLS Release ‘Bats’ Video & Single, New EP Drops on September 23rd

Australian deathcore metal band AS PARADISE FALLS have just revealed a new music video for their new single “BATS“, as well as announcing the availability of pre-orders for their upcoming EP album Madness / Medicine which is scheduled to be released on September 23, 2022 via Eclipse Records. The video was directed by Sam Beck.

“BATS was one of the first songs to be written during the demo process” says guitarist Danny Kenneally, “and it actually was one of my LEAST favourite songs as other tracks were written. We were close to doing a re-write or just scrapping it altogether. However as soon as we did a second demo and then added the vocals, it just came together. Now, it is easily one of the most hard-hitting songs we’ve written, and I am so proud of how this track came out, and how my vision came to life.” Vocalist Ravi Sherwell adds, “when I heard the demo of BATS for the first time in Danny’s studio, I immediately knew this was going to have that dark, bouncy groove I could really blend with. Lyrics started flowing, mixing themes of witch trials/hunts with current issues surrounding cancel culture. Without much conscious thought, BATS became the purest form of modern APF: hard hitting, oozing with groove, and just bullshit heavy.”

Madness / Medicine by As Paradise Falls is a 5 track EP that will defy what a two piece band is capable of. With the influence of this modern Grime & Hip-Hop, old school Deathcore and a futuristic look on how their music should be perceived, the band teamed up with longtime friend & producer Shane Edwards (Northlane, Trophy Eyes, Hellions) at Studio 28 in Thailand where the 5 tracks were transformed into a modern day monster. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Danny was unable to travel for the mixing/mastering process and resorted to utilizing Facetime and streaming from his home studio to assist with the final process of the EP.
