Today, Steel City’s MALEVOLENCE are proud to release their blindsiding new studio album, ‘Malicious Intent’.Dubbed early on as the year’smost hotly anticipated metal record, it marks their most singular work to date, staking their place amongst metal’s heavyweights. 

In celebration, MALEVOLENCE have revealed their fourth and final single from the record – a coup de grâce titled ‘Salvation‘. The track features Matthew K Heafy, who leant his legendary talents to both vocal and shredding duties.

NUMENTO Release Second Single ‘Scarlet Haze’

Helsinki based Progressive Melodic Metal band with Extreme Metal Influences NUMENTO has released second single from their upcoming second album to be releasedlater this year. 

Band backgrounds the song:

“Scarlet Haze is one of the first songs composed for the upcoming album. Being a bit different Numento song in terms of atmosphere and lyrics, it tells a story about suffocating and draining relationships. The lyrics were originally written for another song we made almost 10 years ago that was never published. Thus, the story got another opportunity to be reincarnated with this passionate, highly melodic and a bit melancholic track with a lot of contrasts, as often in Numento music.”

The origin of Numento dates back to 2004. That year a few schoolmates from eastern Helsinki decided to start playing instruments. And of course before anyone had learned a single chord it felt mandatory to also form a band. A metal band. During the following years the band changed its name a couple times. It wasn’t until late 2010 when the band decided to change its name for the last time. The name Numento was chosen after a long night. The lineup has had few changes after that, but it was that time that the band started to find it’s own sound that you can still recognize in their music.

The first single, Rend Asunder, is streaming everywhere, and Divine Council is available to pre-order right away. Available to order now on CD and in multiple colour-ways on vinyl, Divine Council will remind you why PSYCROPTIC are still dominating two decades since their inception.

Brothers Dave Haley (drums) and Joe Haley (guitar) have steered Psycroptic through different shades of death metal – from the technical to the experimental. Vocalist and lyricist, Jason Peppiatt, and bassist Todd Stern have further embellished the sound of the band over the years. On Divine Council they are joined by Jason Keyser of Origin who contributes vocals throughout the album, bringing a new facet to their sound. The incredible artwork was painted by Eliran Kantor.

ARCHSPIRE Announce First Ever Latin American Tour

JUNO-Award winning tech death titans ARCHSPIRE will be embarking on their first ever Latin American tour this year! The first leg of the tour will kick off on July 3 in Leon (MX) and will then conclude in Puebla (MX) on July 10. The band will return on September 6 in São José dos Campos (BR) for the second leg, which will draw its final curtain in San Jose (CR) on September 18. The full run of dates can be found below! ARCHSPIRE has just concluded Tech Trek V in North America, in which they performed to a sold out audience in nearly every city on the four-week run!

On May 14, it was revealed that ARCHSPIRE won the Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) in the “Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year” category for their 2021 release, ‘Bleed the Future!’ This was the band’s second nomination for the award.

‘Bleed the Future’ topped Billboard‘s charts for Top New Artists (#2), Current Hard Music Albums (#5), Heatseekers (#7), Independent Current Albums (#8), and more, landing a total of 17 impressive chart placements across North America during its first week!

Following their latest studio album Final Days (2021, AFM Records), that hit a phenomenal #3 in the German Album Charts, power metal masters ORDEN OGAN have released a brand new single version of “It Is Over”! As a very special surprise, the song is featuring ANY GIVEN DAY vocalist Dennis Diehl!

Says ORDEN OGAN frontman Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann:

“ORDEN OGAN is said to be one of the ‘modern’ power metal bands. “If you take away Seeb’s clean vocals and the choirs, some of the riffs sound very hard, some parts could even be metalcore” is a sentence that we heard quite often in one way or another. We were wondering, what an ORDEN OGAN track would sound like with a “modern metalcore shouter”. One of the best representatives of this species lives right around the corner with Dennis Diehl from Any Given Day, so it made sense to try this experiment.

Any Given Day have rightfully built a huge fan base over the last few years, and Dennis is a phenomenal singer. We are very happy that he was up for it. It’s really interesting how different the track sounds with his vocals. Check it out yourself!
