Irish Viking Metal/Norse Pagan Rockers REN MARABOU AND THE BERSERKERS will be releasing their new album “Tales Of Rune” this summer. It will be the band’s first full length release through United Music Mafia.
The Irish Heathens say this will be their most riff filled, head banging, anthemic and energetic album to date. This cranked up Norse Mythology themed album will have you filling your mead drinking horns, and readying yourself for battle. 🛡⚔️
The band Recorded, Mixed and Mastered the album in Meadowbank Studios Donegal.

After dropping their second album and label debut, Nightfall, a few months ago, German metalcore powerhouse SETYØURSAILS have just unveiled another new outburst, showcasing their variety and multifaceted sound in the best way with a powerful cover of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper‘s soundtrack hit “Shallow”. Joining forces with Mike Perez from No Bragging Rights, they turn the ballad upside down and into a modern and massively energetic hardcore performance.
The new single is visually underlined via an intense music video capturing the band’s eclectic attitude and framing it with eccentric lighting in different colors. In addition, the video marks a new chapter in the band’s history, as it features new band members Hendrik Kellershohn (drums) and Nicolai Hoch (bass) for the very first time.
SETYØURSAILS about “Shallow”: “We are very happy to release the video for our fourth single ‘Shallow’ feat. Mike Perez today. Yes that’s right ‘Shallow’ by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper! Since Mike Perez of No Bragging Rights is one of Jules’ favorite singers, we feel it is a great honor to have him on board. We are not fans of judging genres, which is why covering ‘Shallow’ made us extremely excited. It’s an incredibly well written song, with wonderful melody lines. To transform this into our style was just mega exciting. Our producer and friend Julian Breucker did a really great job. Love greetings at this point. We hope that people like it as much as we do. Since we’re on tour right now, we’ve already had the opportunity to play it live for the audience.”
SETYØURSAILS about the official video for “Shallow”: “Shooting the video was a lot of fun. Of course we had to come up with something since Mike is based in LA and we are based in Cologne. But luckily we had great video people around us who created a great result. At this point a thousand thanks and warm greetings to: Jan Barthel, Thorsten Gruna and Frédéric Sapart! We hope you like it!”
Latvian metal band MORPHIDE have announced the release of their debut album Anhedonia, due on September 9, and shared their vocal one-take video for their recent song “Panopticon”.
Anhedonia is a 9-track album focused on human personality and relationships between individuals and their own feelings. Eissa, vocalist for Morphide, commented on the band’s forthcoming release. “We are so excited to finally release our first album! We have been working on it for the past three years, and multiple issues caused by the pandemic make the release even more anticipating for us.”
The band has also had a chance to work with an ARIA nominated and internationally renowned producer and mixer Forrester Savell. “We are so delighted for such an opportunity. Forrester was able to truly feel our songs and bring them to another level.”
One-take performance video for “Panopticon” showcases Eissa’s wide range of vocals and demonstrates free switches from clean to extreme vocal techniques. The band wanted to be 100% honest and therefore hasn’t used any doubles or edits on their one-take version.

Finnish progressive metal band SUM OF SEVEN released a new music video The Enemy. Famous Finnish model, dancer & singer Joalin Loukamaa, known from global Pop band Now United is featured on the video. The track is released in collaboration with Inverse Records.
“We wanted to create a video that has a nice balance of story and the band playing. Originally we planned this to be purely the band playing the song but the place we found for the shoot inspired us to add a story element. Joalin Loukamaa did an excellent job in our last video and we asked if she would join the project. Fortunately she said yes and did an amazing job again. We got Saku Suominen from Sakuvisuals to direct and work his magic behind the camera and we had an absolute blast filming this. We feel that the atmosphere of the video and the song complement each other in just the right way and the finished product definitely makes us proud.
The Enemy is a song that starts out fast and aggressive and really carries that momentum from start to finish. It is one of the heaviest songs that we have made so far. When that intro explodes you know that we’re going somewhere fast. But at the same time when the vocal melodies kick in they steer the song into a different direction than you might expect, still carrying the aggressive momentum. That element of surprise is really what crowns the song for me. The Enemy has one of the best melodies we have written in my opinion and Marko’s delivery is just absolutely breathtaking. The lyrics talk about freedom, victory and survival, but they also have connotations to the questionable interpretations of those subjects. The message can be interpreted as positively empowering, but also as a disturbingly delusional illusion.”

On May 4th, NOCTIFERIA premiered their intriguing new video “Smrt za Smrt” (Death for Death). The band on the song: “”Smrt za smrt” is one of the older Laibach songs we’ve re-made and it is also the last video we’ll release for the “Reforma” album. It is one of the most twisted and sick songs on the album with a horror-like atmosphere that we’ve partially transferred into the video that was shot on a remote location deep in the woods. The title translates into “Death for Death” and we’ve kept the lyrics in Slovene language, same as the original version. Fun facts: It’s the first whole song we ever did in our home language and the children’s voices were recorded by Igor’s daughters.” – Noctiferia
The band on ‘Reforma (tribute to Laibach)’ album: “It’s never been a secret that we are fond of Laibach, their avant-garde approach to musical and visual art. And with this new album we finally have the whole package ready with killer songs, amazing guest musicians, top-notch production and visual presentation!”
‘Reforma’ tracklist: Barbarians are Coming Now You Will Pay (feat. David Vincent) No History Tanz Mit Laibach (feat. Attila Csihar) Eurovision Smrt Za Smrt Das Spiel Ist Aus Nova Akropola (feat. Jørgen Munkeby)

The artwork concept and design is the work of Jean-Emmanuel “Valnoir” Simoulin from French design studio Metastazis, known for their work with Ghost, Behemoth, At the Gates, Amorphis, etc. The album can be described as a ‘crushing sounding mix of extreme metal and avant-garde music, with some very special and legendary guests!
Ljubljana’s underground legends NOCTIFERIA, have been spreading their unique style of the Slovenian Extreme Metal Movement since the beginning. Few could predict what the band and its members would mean for the whole scene in the years to come. Today, just as it sometimes seems that the artists have drained all genres of originality and that all the new musical styles have already been discovered, here comes NOCTIFERIA, bringing something fresh, a mix of styles that is uniquely theirs. NOCTIFERIA have toured Europe and UK with bands like In Flames, Hypocrisy, Mayhem, Samael, Marduk etc. Toured China couple of times so far and performed at various European festivals (at Wacken Open Air 2015 as first Slovenian band ever, Bloodstock, etc.).
What makes them unique is the way they explore music. Band has collaborated with electronic music producers, symphony orchestra, released acoustic album and has incorporated in their music elements of black, death, industrial metal and world music with modern touch. Quality and diversity is band’s motto. Noctiferia strives to always release high quality products and to not repeat themselves artistically.
